The numerical simulation calculation on round steel-tubes reinforced with CFRP sheets was done through the large-scale finite element software ANSYS. In this research, four factors were comparatively analyzed so as to obtain the influence of them on ultimate axial tensile bearing capacity of steel-tubes. These four factors are longitudinal reinforcement length rate , thickness , elastic modulus and circumferential reinforcement ways of CFRP sheets. The results show that the ultimate axial tensile bearing capacity of steel-tubes strengthened with CFRP sheets is enhanced significantly and the reinforcement effect is very good.

In order to study the performance of concrete frame columns that reinforcedby assembleinclined web steel truss, with the same reciprocatinghorizontal displacement and different axialcompression. It canbe calculate the mechanical behavior of concrete frame columns and reinforced columns by using the finite element analysis software ABAQUS. Simulation analysis shows that the bearing capacity ofreinforced columnshas greatly increased andpresented a full hysteresis curve. The result shows that the reinforcement method of assemble inclined web steel truss can greatly improve the bearing capacity and ductility of the concrete frame column, and the axial compression is larger, the better the reinforcement effect.

In this paper ,it analyses the push-extend multi-under-reamed pile in use of elastic-plastic theory by the software ANSYS.It takes four push-extend multi-under-reamed piles which are the same except plates' distance. It introduces the realative theory to make the anlysis much more accuracy. The results which is taken by ANSYS are researched to find out the regularity and can certain the reasonable plate's distance to anlyze the bearing capacity of push-extend multi-under-reamed pile at the same time.

Uncertainty modelling with random variables motivates the adoption of advanced PTM for reliability analysis to solve problems of mechanical systems. Probabilistic transformation method (PTM) is readily applicable when the function between the input and the output of the system is explicit. When these functions are implicit, a technique is proposed that combines finite element analysis (FEA) and probabilistic transformation method (PTM) that is based on the numerical simulations of the finite element analysis (FEA) and the probabilistic transformation method (PTM) using an interface between finite element software and Matlab. Structure problems are treated with the proposed technique, and the obtained results are compared to those obtained by the reference Monte Carlo method. A second aim of this work is to develop an algorithm of global optimization using the local method SQP. The proposed approach MSQP is tested on test functions comparing with other methods, and it is used to resolve a structural problem under reliability constraints.

As Chinese architecture masterpiece, ancient Hui-style architecture is the admiration for Chinese and foreign master builders. According to the bending test, the theoretical calculations and Abaqus finite element analysis on 5 Hui-style architecture beams, this paper points out the differences between un-reinforced beams and reinforced beams on ultimate bearing capacity, deflection and other performance indicators. The reinforcement methods of embedding steel bars, embedding CFRP bars and pasting CFRP plate can respectively improve the ultimate bearing capacity by 20.2%, 32.6% and 37.0%. Based on the plane section assumption and considering thereduction of tensile strength causedby wood knots and defects in tension zone, this paper predicts failure modes of the test beams may occur, and gives the ultimate bearing capacity of different failure modes. In addition, this paper uses the Abaqus finite element software for simulating test beams, and the development trend of load-deflectioncurve between the test and numerical simulation are in good agreement, providing reference for further research of Hui-style architecture.

Non-linear analysis of autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) block masonry composite wall with column has been conducted using finite element software ABAQUS. First, the finite element results were verified with laboratory results of full-scale specimens. Effects of horizontal reinforcement ratio on seismic performance were investigated. The analysis indicates that shearing strength of the wall is affected by the openings greatly. Seismic performance is improved with the increase of horizontal reinforcement ratio. The effect of vertical stress on wall without openings is more than that on wall with openings. Bearing capacity of walls without openings has a linear relationship with the horizontal reinforcement ratio. And bearing capacity of walls with openings is related to the place where the reinforcements are installed as well as the horizontal reinforcement ratio.

Debonding of concrete occurs when the interface principal stress reaches the ultimate tensile strength. We propose the use of carbon fiber plate attached to the beam bottom, which makes finite element analysis of the mechanical properties of debonding concrete beams more reasonable. In addition, formulas of this theory are given and applied in the finite element analysis. Finally, it is shown by a number of experimental results.

In this paper, a 1.5 MW wind turbine tower in Dali, Yunnan Province is used as the research object, using large-scale finite element software Ansys to carry on the dynamic analysis. These natural frequencies and natural vibration type of the first five of tower are obtained by modal analysis and are compared with natural frequency to determine whether the resonance occurs. Based on the modal analysis, the results of the transient dynamic analysis are obtained from the tower, which is loaded by the static wind load and fluctuating wind load in two different forms. By comparing the different results, it provides the basis for the dynamic design of wind turbine tower.

The active earth pressure on rigid retaining wall is analyzed using the finite element software ABAQUS. The fill behind the wall is sand and the Mohr–Coulomb constitutive model was used to model the stress–strain behaviour of soils. The finite element analysis results were compared with the Rankine results. The maximum error of the results is about 10% and the finite element analysis result is bigger. So the result obtained from the finite element method could safely be used in actual projects.

In this paper, in order to understand fully the development of failure mechanism, bearing capacity and seismic performance of the steel H-beams and composite concrete filled steel tubular (CFST) column joints strengthened by outside strengthening ring, in the space zone the effects of changing the axial compression ratio is investigated. A 3D joint finite element model is built up by finite element software ABAQUS, the elastic-plastic finite element analysis is carried through numerical modeling process. The analysis results showed that low axial compression ratio has a little influence on the bearing capacity; with the increase of axial pressure the bearing capacity will decrease in a high axial compression ratio, moreover the failure pattern of joint changes from beam end to column end. The ductility of the specimens is decreased by raising axial compression ratio.
