Abstract With the increase of general knowledge and the advancement of science and technology, antibacterial substances were used more than antibiotics. In our current study, the antibacterial virtues of CFO/BiOI nanocomposite were investigated due to its high importance on Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Bacillus cereus. MIC, MBC , Disk Diffusion and IC50 tests Cefalotin (CF), Amoxicillin (AMX), Gentamicin (GM), Trimethoprim-sulphamethoxazole (SXT) and Ceftriaxone (CRO) antibiotics in concentration 30W, 10i, 10t , 25h and 30 were used to find the antibacterial properties of the synthesized nanocomposite, respectively. For the synthesis of nanocomposites polyethylene glycol (PEG) and sulfonic acid was used as a solvent. It is noteworthy that the synthesis was performed by heat dissolution method without the presence of surfactant. Also, various techniques such as X-Ray Diffraction(XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), High resolution mapping and Energy Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDAX) have been used to determine the properties of produced nanocomposites. SEM test results showed that the formed nanoparticles were globular and their size was limited area of 22 to 34 nm. The results showed CFO / BiOI nanocomposite exhibits strong significant biological activity against Bacillus cereus. The results of MBC (Minimum Bactericidal Concentration) and MIC (Minimum Inhibition Concentration) tests for CFO/BiOI nanocomposites on bacteria were examined in the range of 0.12-0.48 mg/ml and 0.06 to 0.24 mg/ml respectively. According to the results, the minimum IC50 value was determined at a concentration of 0.061 mg/ml. On the other hand, the most resisting and susceptible bacteria in this method were Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Bacillus cereus, respectively. These findings are identical to those of a prior study on CoFe2O4 nanoparticles antibacterial properties. MBC of the nanocomposites, 50 µl from all the tubes that showed no obvious bacterial growth were distributed on BHI agar plates and incubated for 24 h at 37 ◦C. The MBC endpoint is defined as the lowest concentration which killed 98% of the bacterial population.

Seven florally diversified Bangladeshi honey samples were assessed for their physicochemical properties as well as their antibiogram profile on different human pathogenic bacterial strains. The average density, total protein content, ascorbic acid content, total phenolics content and the total antioxidant capacity of these honeys were determined as 1.50±0.09 g/ml, 5.63±1.56 mg/g, 91.87±22.16 mg/g, 571.04±289.02 mg gallic acid equivalent/gram, and 320.74±55.06 mg ascorbic acid equivalent/gram of samples, respectively. A significant correlation between the phenolics content and the total antioxidant capacity was observed in commercially available honey samples. However, the natural honey samples showed the best antibacterial activity against different pathogenic multidrug-resistant bacterial strains. Significant antibacterial activities were observed against Klebsiella pneumoniae, Salmonella typhi, Micrococcus luteus, Pseudomonas spp. and Enterobacter spp. and moderate antibacterial activities was observed on Shigella boydii, Bacillus cereus, Bacillus megaterium, and Bacillus subtilis. The antibacterial activity was correlated with the total antioxidant capacity. This study suggested that the Bangladeshi multifloral honeys have clinical potential against multidrug-resistant pathogenic bacterial strains. Abstract Our objective was to evaluate relationships between milk components (acute phase proteins, enzymes, metabolic parameters and oxidative indices) and the spontaneous cure outcome of Staphylococcus aureus subclinical mastitis in dairy cows. The values of haptoglobin, serum amyloid A (SAA), malondialdehyde (MDA), total antioxidant capacity, milk urea nitrogen (MUN), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), electrolytes (Cl and K), total protein, albumin, α-lactalbumin, β-lactoglobulin, and immunoglobulin were measured in milk samples of S. aureus subclinical mastitis cows with spontaneous cure (n = 23), S. aureus subclinical mastitis cows without spontaneous cure (n = 29) and healthy cows (n = 23). The comparison of measured parameters revealed that subclinical mastitis cows with spontaneous cure had lower ALP and haptoglobin concentrations both at diagnosis and after cure (P < 0.05). In contrast, total antioxidant capacity and MDA concentration in subclinical mastitis cows without spontaneous cure significantly increased with time (P < 0.05). We can suggest that elevated haptoglobin concentration and higher ALP activity indicative of enhanced oxidative stress could potentially serve as early diagnostic indicators of chronic disease and the persistence of S. aureus subclinical mastitis in dairy cows.

A new Cu(II) complex with bi-[N-(propionic acid)] terephthalal diacythydrazon (H4L) was obtained by the reaction of CuCl2•2H2O and H4L in 1:1 pyridine and methanol. According to X-ray diffraction, the product was a binuclear complex, [Cu2L(pyridine)6]•2H2O. Each Cu(II) in the complex is six-coordinated by one N and two O atoms of H4L and three N atoms from pyridine. The coordination polyhedron around Cu(II) can be described as an octahedron with slightly distorted. Inaddition, antibacterial activities of the complex against coliform were investigated. The results showed that the inhibit rates of binuclear complex were 83% against coliform.
