In this paper, a comparison by several kinds of video surveillance technology, highlights the superiority of video monitoring system based on the embedded system. Video monitoring system is a collection of computer technology, the communication technology and digital video technology in an integrated system. Established a video monitoring system based on embedded technology, detailed analysis its system structure and gives its hardware and software design.

Nowadays, the computer technology is growing rapidly. This has a positive impact, many people can be helped by the computer. In addition, the types of jobs available are in-creasing. But, there are also negative impacts, for example the computer crimes are growing dramatically. The komputer crimes will be handled where the place of computer crime occurred at the District Level (POLSEK). The problem occurs is when police agen-cies at the District Level do not have tools to investigate digital evidence. So the proce-dure to handle this computer crime is send the physical evidence to the Regional Level (POLDA) to be acquired and analyzed.It will make the digital evidence vulnerable to be acquired and manipulated when the physical evidence is sent to the Regional Police Agency by people who do not have au-thority. It is necessary to renew the procedure for handling digital evidence in the case of a computer crime and integrated system between them.This study will produce a procedure for handling digital evidence through an integrated monitoring system between POLSEK and POLDA agencies. It is hoped that through this monitoring system, authenticity can be maintained and the digital evidence can be ac-cepted by judge in the court.

In order to adapt to the requirements of intelligent video monitoring system, this paper presents an ARM-Linux based video monitoring system for face detection. In this system, an ARM processor with a Linux operating system was used, and the USB camera was used to capture data, and then the face detection was conducted in the ARM device. The OpenCV library was transplanted to Linux embedded system. The algorithm of face detection was realized by calling the OpenCV library. Specially, adaboost algorithm was chose as the face detection algorithm. Experimental results show that the face detection effect of the system is satisfactory and can meet the real time requirement of video surveillance.

In recent years, with the rise of infectious diseases such as the Covid 19 virus, there is a growing need for telemedicine applications such as diagnosis, prognosis and patient management. Embedded system technologies have occupied an important area in biomedical technology. Especially, to develop tools for the purposes of increasing the safety of healthcare workers in the event of epidemic infectious diseases in processes such as pandemics. For this purpose, monitoring of patients discharged from hospitals at home or non-intensive care beds during quarantine, or isolated in their homes, outpatient, and mildly ill, remotely, instantly, safely and quickly, are becoming increasingly important. In this section, we will give an overview of the embedded system structure and applications.

With the rapid development of computer technology, embedded system is more and more widely used. The embedded hardware system was designed by taking Samsung ARM7TDMI CPU as the core. And a small uClinux system was embedded into this hardware system. Various kinds of applications in uClinux system can be developed. This thesis introduced one of those applications, which is embedded web server and its protocol-HTTP. In this thesis, the embedded system based on ARM had been developed. Our embedded system has the characters of low cost and high efficiency. It is at large applicated on business forwardly.
