Modern logistics management system brings a significant convenience to commercial activities and our life. Whereas low efficiency and frequent mistakes exert negative influence on the development of logistics industry. The problems exist in the process of logistics management that includes collection, sorting, storing and tracking. RFID technology is of great importance to intelligent logistics management system. This will have a good prospects in railway package management. On the basis of the RFID technology and the proposed problems, a well-performed Railway Package Information Management Platform is proposed. This platform can provide fast, high efficient, intelligent, safe and stable solutions. The Platform consists of five systems, which are handhold terminal system, sorting system, warehouse management system, tracking system and Railway Package information management system respectively. Implementation on the platform shows that it not only reduces package transportation cycle, but it also improves the stability and safety for the logistics management system. Multiple verification demonstrates that the proposed platform has a very good practicality.

In the era of rapid development of information, with the popularization of computers, the development of science and technology, and the continuous growth of IT technology and business, the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system has become a platform and guarantee for the completion of business management processes after long-term operations. Establishing a logistics management information system is an important means for Chinese companies to improve their logistics efficiency. This is the prerequisite for modern companies to gain a competitive advantage in the management of logistics companies. Therefore, organizations must adapt to different needs, fierce competition, and rapid strategic changes. This is a powerful supplement to the nature of logistics companies. The logistics management information system has continuously experienced the processes of MRP, MRP II, and ERP. This article aims to study how to use computers in logistics management to create an ERP system-based enterprise logistics information management system. This article puts forward the development significance of logistics information management system, uses ERP system to analyze complex logistics business in detail, and designs the overall framework, specific functions, and data model of the system in detail. The experimental results of this paper show that the ERP system has important application value in the logistics information management system of supply chain enterprises, and it can effectively increase the value of customer satisfaction by 86.7%.

The China Levee Project Information Management System (CLPIMS) is an information management platform that was established for levee project management within the seven major river basins in China. The system was developed on the basis of the VS.NET and ArcGIS Server and was combined with the database theory and key techniques of WebGIS, which has the features of real-time display, enquiry, statistics and management of spatial data under browser/server mode. Moreover, additional applications, such as real-time monitoring, safety assessment, early warning and danger forecasting and online analysis, can be further explored through reserved modules. The CLPIMS can serve not only as a scientific, systematic, visual tool for analysis and decision management in levee projects in China but also as a technical platform for flood control practice. Furthermore, the system is capable of unified management and sharing of the levee project information for the seven major river basins in China, and it is important for the improvement of office automation, E-government applications and the level of flood control operations.

This study developed an information lifecycle-oriented information management system model for architectural design industry by combining information lifecycle theory with information management system for architectural design industry. In addition to improving weak/complicated processes during information management for architectural design industry, this integrated model merged information lifecycle theory on routine information management operations, and therefore enhances business sensitivity of information management and promotes effectiveness of information management. Furthermore, with the information management process reengineering, this paper studied the theory and framework of information lifecycle flow based on information process mechanism on integrated information management phases for architectural design industry. The paper established an analytical framework for the study of the process and mechanism of disaster information process reengineering and taking the architectural design industry for example, this paper analyzed diversified phases of integrated process for information management of architectural design industry. Key outcomes of this study include the demonstration and assessment of the information process mechanism and information management for architectural design industry based on information lifecycle theory. This study established a new direction for future research on information lifecycle-oriented process reengineering for architectural design industry.

Penilaian cerun dijalankan bagi meramal kebarangkalian berlakunya kejadian tanah runtuh dan juga tahap kemusnahannya di sesuatu kawasan yang dinilai. Dalam kertas kerja ini, empat sistem penilaian cerun (SAS) sedia ada bagi meramal kejadian tanah runtuh pada skala mikro yang telah dibangunkan oleh Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) Malaysia iaitu Slope Maintenance System (SMS), Slope Priority Ranking System (SPRS), Slope Information Management System (SIMS) dan Slope Management and Risk Tracking System (SMART) telah dikaji. Daripada hasil kajian, adalah jelas tiada sebarang satu SAS sedia ada yang sesuai bagi meramal kejadian tanah runtuh di kawasan yang didasari batuan granit. Ini adalah kerana beberapa sebab yang jelas iaitu antaranya skor bahaya yang digunakan diadaptasi dari negara luar, pengkalan data yang terhad, dan juga pengkalan data yang digunakan adalah daripada formasi batuan yang berbeza. Dalam kajian ini, dua SAS baru telah dibangunkan iaitu Model A yang menggunakan persamaan sepuluh parameter yang dibentuk dari analisa discriminant, dan Model B yang menggunakan persamaan sembilan parameter yang dibentuk dari analisa linear regression. Kedua–dua model baru ini jelas menunjukkan ia lebih sesuai bagi meramal kejadian tanah runtuh di kawasan didasari batuan granit. Kata kunci: Analisa discriminant, formasi granit, tanah runtuh, sistem penilaian cerun A slope assessment is carried out to predict the probability of occurrence and the degree of severity of landslides in a given area. This paper evaluates four existing slope assessment systems (SAS) for predicting landslides at micro level of assessment developed by the Public Works Department of Malaysia, namely the Slope Maintenance System (SMS), Slope Priority Ranking System (SPRS), Slope Information Management System (SIMS) and the Slope Management and Risk Tracking System (SMART). From the results of this study, it appears that none of the existing SAS is satisfactory for predicting landslide in granitic formation, due to various reasons such as the use of hazard score developed from another country, insufficient database, and the use of data base derived from different rock formations. Two new SAS were developed, i.e. Model A using ten–variables equation that is based on the stepwise discriminant analysis, and Model B using ninevariables equation that is based on the stepwise linear regression analysis. These two new models appear to be suitable for predicting landslides in granitic formations than the existing four SAS.
