Renovation processes of existing buildings, including historically protected ones, are most of the time focused on energy saving. Nonetheless these processes might affect the function of existing shallow foundations. This paper deals with the influence of soils moisture content onto the depth of freezing. The depth of freezing depends on the type of soil as well, not just the moisture content. The influence of water and soils composition are generally perceived to be substantial for depth of freezing. Sub-zero temperatures do significantly change the soils characteristics, which has an effect to the building structure. The purpose of the research done by the personnel of Brno University of Technology was to determine the effects of special measures against frost penetration of soil. These measures included the application of various materials and solutions over the terrain in winter to monitor frost depth of soil.

The possible volume reduction and stabilization of the sewage sludge associated with the melting process are expected to be greater than with the incineration process. In addition, melted slag can be utilized. However, since the melting process requires a very high temperature to melt inorganics (ash) in the sludge, the technologies to minimize energy consumption, to establish system operation and to prolong durability of facilities should be developed. This paper discusses the auxiliary fuel consumption as follows.(1)Preparation of a model that provides the auxiliary fuel consumption of the melting system on the basis of the mass and heat balances.(2)Evaluation of the auxiliary fuel consumption in the above model using the cake moisture content, the volatile solids of the cake, the dried cake moisture content and the melting temperature as parameters.(3)Examination of the operational conditions for an energy saving melting system based on the results of (1) and (2) above.

Energy saving always attracts many countries'attentions. Energy saving reform of the existing buildings was accepted in many countries. There are a lot of innovation in energy saving. In this paper, we believe that TRIZ can solve these problems in energy saving. Then, we constructed a model of energy-saving based on TRIZ. This model proposed preliminary solutions by using TRIZ in energy saving. TRIZ will be applied more in this field.

At present, people pay more attention to the energy consumption of building electrical design, the use of energy-saving design can maximize the energy conservation resources, and ultimately increase the pace of social sustainable development. Therefore, the energy-saving designers involved in the need to follow the economic rational, safe and feasible benchmark to select the appropriate energy-saving measures to increase research and development of new technologies, new products and new energy, the concept of sustainable development to be implemented. In view of this, this paper mainly analyzes the energy saving technical measures in the electrical design of thebuilding.

Lignite is a domestic strategic reserve of low rank coals in many countries for its abundant resource and competitive price. Combustion for power generation is still an important approach to its utilization. However, the high moisture content always results in low efficiencies of lignite-direct-fired power plants. Lignite pre-drying is thus proposed as an effective method to improve the energy efficiency. The present work focuses on the flue gas pre-dried lignite-fired power system (FPLPS), which is integrated with fan mill pulverizing system and waste heat recovery. The thermo-economic analysis model was developed to predict its energy saving potential at design conditions. The pre-drying upgrade factor was defined to express the coupling of pre-drying system with boiler system and the efficiency improvement effect. The energy saving potential of the FPLPS, when applied in a 600 MW supercritical power unit, was determined to be 1.48 %-pts. It was concluded that the improvement of boiler efficiency mainly resulted from the lowered boiler exhaust temperature after firing pre-dried low moisture content lignite and the lowered dryer exhaust gas temperature after pre-heating the boiler air supply. Keywords: lignite; pre-drying; thermodynamic analysis; thermo-economics

China building energy-saving technology is in the early stages of the development with energy high consumption and low energy efficiency. It is especially important to control each link of the building energy-saving for energy conservation. In construction of the envelope structure exists Some prominent effects ,such as the compilation and implementation of the construction technology, the review of design alteration, the performance measurement of materials and components, and control of construction technical measures, we should be implemented related inspection and control in all stages of the implementation process.
