In order to verify and analysis the theory model of direct drive system, the methods of computer-aided modeling and simulation analysis in Simulink and Simscape environment were presented. Based on the theory model of direct drive system, simulation models were constructed in two kinds of different environment, the model building and analysis process were detail introduced, the simulation results were compared and experiment verification. The simulation and experiment results showed that the relative error of time domain response of simulation results under two kinds of environment is within 4%, the relative error of frequency domain response is within 4.5%. Comparing simulation results under Simulink environment with the real test results, the relative error of time domain response is within 20%, and the relative error of frequency domain response is within 15%. The consistence and correctness of the two methods are verified, the proposed methods can also be applied to modeling and simulation analysis of others Mechatronic servo system.

In modern mechatronic system design process, how to shorten the design schedule and to ensure that the performance of the system designed to meet the indicator has been the focus of attention. This paper presents a mechatronic system co-designing method based on Matlab and Recurdyn. Takes a typical uniaxial direct drive system as example, describes the implementation process of the co-designing method. The dynamics model of direct drive system has been builded, on this basis, the co-simulation model based on Matlab and Recurdyn has been established. Simulates and analyzes time domain and frequency domain characteristics of the co-simulation model in different conditions, and compares simulation results and corresponding experiment results. Comparison results showed that: Open-loop time-frequency domain simulation results and experimental results are basically consistent, amplitude-frequency characteristics matching degree (ACMD) greater than 73%, phase frequency characteristics matching degree (PCMD) greater than 87%, time domain response matching degree (TRMD) greater than 89%. It verifies the validity and correctness of the co-designing method.

Based on the shape features of corn seed, this paper proposes the modeling method of manual combination of eight spheres, which constructs the analysis models for corn seed Ji Feng 218 and Chang Dan 228 with the purpose of better simulation of corn seeds. Furthermore, another analysis model for Chang Dan 228 is also built with reference to the four-sphere combination method. The comparison between the simulation results from these two models demonstrates the feasibility and superiority of the model of combination of eight spheres.

The intention of this paper is to identify a suitable controller for closed loop multi converter system for multiple input sources and to improve time response of high-gain-step up-converter. Closed-loop Multi Converter System (MCS) is utilized to regulate load-voltage. This effort recommends suitable-controller for closed-two loop-controlled-SEPIC-REBOOST Converter fed DC motor. The estimation of the yield in open-two loop and closed- two-loop-circuit has been done using MATLAB or Simulink. Closed-two loop-control of Multi Converter System with Propotional+Integral (PI)- Propotional+Integral (PI) and Proportional+Resonant (PR) - Proportional+Resonant (PR) Controllers are investigated and their responses are evaluated in conditions of rise time, peak time, settling time and steady state error. It is seen that current-mode PR-PR controlled MCS gives better time domain response in terms of motor speed. A Prototype of MCS has been fabricated in the laboratory and the experimental-results are authenticated with the simulation-results.

According to analyze the Principal Component Regression, and set up a modeling about the watt loss in a certain vehicle transmission, which the modeling result is keeping a line with the real value. Moreover, compared with the comprehensive watt loss modeling which is the popular application currently, and to analyze the two simulation results in the relative error, which can prove the new simulation result is useful and valid.

This paper shows a method for pipeline leak detection using a transient-based method with MATLAB® functions. The simulation of a pipeline systems in the time domain are very complex. In the case of the dissipative model, transfer functions are hyperbolic Bessel functions. Simulating a pipeline system in the frequency domain using a dissipative model we could find an approximate transfer function with equal frequency domain response to in order get the pipeline system's time domain response. The method described in this paper can be used to detect, by comparison, to detect a leak in a pipeline system model.

Time domain numerical simulations with TechnipFMC’s in-house program were performed to estimate life cycle loading on a floating platform using High Performance Computing (HPC). Direct Simulation Analysis (DSA) were conducted to estimate fatigue life of mooring lines of two Spar platforms and the results were compared with fatigue life estimated from the condensed bin approach. In the Direct Simulation Analysis, 35-year hindcast wave and wind data with 3-hour interval for Gulf of Mexico was used. The wind and wave data covers from January 1979 to December 2013 for every 3-hours. The current data was not available so associated current information was approximately estimated. The time domain direct simulation results include nonlinear loads, nonlinear responses and seasonal effects such as hurricane events. The life cycle loading analysis tool developed will reduce uncertainties and increase the accuracy and reliability of the estimation of the mooring fatigue life during the service life of platform. Fatigue life of a mooring line from condensed bin analysis is highly variable with more than 20% depending on the selected wave seed number. In addition, the fatigue life from condensed bin analysis is about 20% less than the fatigue life from the Direct Simulation Analysis. This paper presents the systematic comparisons between the conventional approach and the direct time domain simulation results and also provides some major findings. In addition to the mooring line fatigue analysis, the structural fatigue analysis is also being performed and the results will be presented in the near future.
