Abstract: The Church belongs to the Lord and is the extension of the Lord's hand in the world. The Church is open to all people, but in church’s services, there are still discriminations, especially against members with disabilities. This research conducted in the Jemaat Kristen Indonesia (JKI) Bukit Sion Mangliawan is a follow-up study of the previous research, namely “The Discipleship for Congregations with Disabilities in Church M Malang”. The method used is experimental research that observes and analyzes changes resulting from X treatment on Y in controlled situations. The conclusions of the experimental research in the JKI Bukit Sion Mangliawan proved the hypothesis that member with disability was able to serve well like non-disabled ones in the service of the Word at local church. This proved that empowerment of discipleship in an inclusive church was a solution to the problem of marginalization of the empowerment of congregations with disabilities in the service of the Word at local church. Empowering discipleship in an inclusive church was most appropriate for anyone, whether the members of congregations with disabilities or not. Keywords: service of the Word, discipleship, empowerment, congregation with disability, inclusive church. Kata-kata kunci: pelayanan mimbar, pemuridan, pemberdayaan, jemaat penyandang disabilitas, gereja inklusif.

The Italian psychiatric reform has attracted much interest and controversy around the world. While quantitative evidence on its implementation has already been provided (Tansella et al. 1987; de Girolamo, 1989), studies of the effects of the reform on patients are lacking.

The study indicates that before the COVID-19 pandemic, despite its importance, distance interpreter training (DIT) was not positively perceived or widely used in higher education institutions that offer Bachelor of Translation and Interpreting (BTI) and/or Master of Translation and Interpreting (MTI) programs in China. However, the pandemic has changed almost everything in the world, with no exception of DIT, prompting the authors to have a follow-up study in August 2020 of the same 14 full-time interpreting teachers from different BTI and MTI institutions in different parts of China who had been interviewed right before the pandemic. This interview-based comparative study shows that all the interviewees used DIT during the pandemic shutdown and their perceptions of DIT have altered greatly, becoming more objective than subjective and more positive than negative. The pandemic has, to some extent, boosted the further development and acceptance of both the online and blended approaches to interpreter training.

The First Pastoral Consultation of the Diocese of Surabaya held on November 26th-28th 2009 proposed The Basic Direction of the Diocese of Surabaya 2010-2019, which is stating the desire of the Church of the Diocese of Surabaya to be“a communion of Christ’s disciples, which is more and more maturing in faith, convivial, full of service and missionary”. The Second Pastoral Consultation held on October 18th-20th 2019, keeping this purpose statement for the next 10 years inThe Basic Direction of the Diocese of Surabaya 2020-2030, thus confirms the significancy of an “Ecclesiology of Discipleship” for the formation of the people of the Diocese. This paper wants to propose a study regarding this ecclesiology based on the document of the Second Vatican Council, i.e. The Pastoral Constitution Gaudium et Spes, art. 1. Being a Pastoral Constitution on the Church in the modern world, Gaudium et Spes, opened with a statement regarding the unity of the followers of Christ and the men of this age, would be fundamentally authoritative and enlightening for reflecting the vocation of the local Church of Surabaya as “a communion of the disciples of Christ” to become aware of her mission for the world (ad extradimension), while she is, as a communion of the faith (ad intra dimension), journeyingtowards eternal unity with the God

Two significant trends can be identified in the church of today: indifferentism and the emergence of a macro-church. Indifferentism bears the implicit meaning that the church is no longer regarded as being important or having significance for Christianity. In line with this thought, it is claimed that it is possible to be a Christian without having any official commitment to a church as structure. The term macro-church, on the other hand, describes the concept of the church as primarily being a huge ecumenical structure which acts as 'super church’ in the world. These two trends should be regarded with caution. Not only are these trends theologically questionable, but the importance and effectiveness of the local church is also disregarded. When aiming to develop and establish the true essence of Christianity in future, the functioning of the local church should be restored. In this article it is thus argued that for the immediate future the main task of the Ecclesiology will be to establish the original meaning and functionality of the local church.

Robots and other artificial agents are increasingly present in eldercare, education, and at work. They are designed to help humans with tasks and to meet labor shortages?a technological fix for our times. In two experiments and a follow-up study, we investigate factors that influence the acceptance of artificial agents in positions of power, using attachment theory and disappointment theory as explanatory models. We found that when the state of the world provokes anxiety, citizens perceive artificial agents as a reliable proxy to replace human leaders. Moreover, people accept artificial agents as decision-makers in politics and security more willingly when they deem their leaders or government to be untrustworthy, disappointing, or immoral. Finally, we discuss these results with respect to theories of technology acceptance and the delegation of duties and prerogatives.

This study set out to investigate if a relationship exists between weight change and changes in 3D acceleration signals associated with walking. In addition to giving biomechanical information, this relationship could be applied in conjunction with new weight management solutions to address the excess weight problem currently plaguing the world. The study was conducted with 15 subjects. For a period of two months, they were weighed every morning and carried a 3D accelerometer during the working day. Daily accelerometric signals were recorded and signals recognized as walking were analyzed. To obtain information in a more controlled situation and higher weight change, a separate follow-up study was carried out involving one test subject performing controlled walking exercises. Our results show that a relationship does exist between weight change and 3D acceleration signals. The obtained correlation coefficient between weight change and the acceleration-related parameter was 0.21 for the combined result of all test subjects (n = 147, p = 0.01). Higher correlations were recorded for individual subjects (r = 0.97, p < 0.001). Also the follow-up with controlled walking exercises showed a high correlation (r = 0.89, p < 0.001). On the other hand, statistically significant results were not obtained for all subjects, and identical signal parameters did not always produce similar results.
