In the face of situation that the overall technology of tunnel mechanization construction is relatively backward in our country in recent years, a new type of mechanization supporting construction equipment which is suitable for the national conditions of our country is developed, and the corresponding construction technology is formulated. The equipment that set many functions in one can effectively improve the subway tunnel construction efficiency and reduce cost, and it provides a kind of new thought for the acceleration of China's subway tunnel construction mechanization.

The geological environment along the Sichuan-Tibet railway has the characteristics of plate splitting, frequent geological disasters, complex topography, large topography, cold climate, high cold and anoxia, etc. It is recognized by the world as one of the most difficult projects so far. Based on the construction of the tunnel entrance on the high and steep slope of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway, this paper conducts research on the construction of the tunnel construction, the reinforcement of the tunnel entrance and the protection of high and steep slopes. The integrated” tunnel entrance reinforcement system and the “carbon fiber lightweight active protection net” technology for slope protection are expected to provide a reference for the construction of the tunnel entrance of the Sichuan-Tibet railway high and steep slope.

The article combined the existing theory of smooth blasting and the in situ construction experience. From the viewpoint of smooth blasting in the practical engineering application, a research was initiated on how to put smooth blasting construction technology of urban shallow subway tunnel into use, based on the example of the construction of the small mileage segment of the left tunnel line of 2# shaft of Hai-pi tunnel interval of Qingdao Metro Line 2, which provides the reference for other section construction of Qingdao subway.

On Job Training (OJT) is best for skill development and attitude change. Implementation of OJT which focuses on the transition of students to working life, however with little attention given to the process of assessment in OJT. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the OJT assessment problems among Construction Technology students in Malaysian Vocational College. The research design for this study uses a survey that was carried out qualitatively through semi-structured interviews among Construction Technology students, lecturers and experienced construction practitioners. From the data analysis, it has been identified that there is an inadequacy of OJT assessment rubric in assessing the skill and knowledge of the construction technology students. This has been contributed with the used of holistic rubric for the OJT assessment which has been designed to be use by every course in the Vocational College. The result also revealed that allocation of marks in the assessment rubric is not commensurate with some construct assessed and need to be reviewed. This study shows that an assessment rubric should emphasizes on specific knowledge and skills in assessing students’ competency during training program and in this case to produce competent site supervisor. In addition, a good assessment rubric should consider the tasks and marks thoroughly to avoid biasness among students. Therefore, it is suggested to carry out further study in investigating the validity and reliability of current industry’ OJT assessment rubric for the Construction Technology students.Key Words: On Job Training; Construction Technology; An assessment rubric; Competency; Validity and reliability.
