Crushed and statically compressed Madagascar graphite that was explosively shocked at 425 kb by means of a planar flyer-plate is characterized by a black zone extending for 2 to 3 nun below the impact plane of the driver. Beyond this point, the material assumes the normal gray color of graphite. The thickness of the black zone is identical with the distance taken by the relaxation wave to overtake the compression wave.The main mechanical characteristic of the black material is its great hardness; steel scalpels and razor blades are readily blunted during attempts to cut it. An average microhardness value of 95-3 DPHN was obtained with a 10 kg load. This figure is a minimum because the indentations were usually cracked; 14.8 DPHN was measured in the gray zone.

In this paper the authors have explained the development of robotic vehicle prepared by them, which operates autonomously and is not controlled by the users, except for selection of modes. The different modes of the automated vehicle are line following, object following and object avoidance with alternate trajectory determination. The complete robotic assembly is mounted on a chassis comprising of Arduino Uno, Servo motors, HC-SRO4 (Ultrasonic sensor), DC motors (Geared), L293D Motor Driver, IR proximity sensors, Voltage Regulator along with castor wheel and two normal wheels.

<em>The process of folding clothes is one of the activities carried out in the laundry business or household. The activity is fairly easy but many people are still lazy to do it. As a result, clothes that have been washed will fall apart in certain rooms, thereby reducing the aesthetic value of a home. Semi Automatic T-Shirt Folding Machine is the right solution to make folding clothes easier and more time efficient. This tool is equipped with a servo motor that moves the folding board that has been designed in such a way that the user only needs to manghandle the shirt just once and simply push one button then the shirt will fold itself and will be neatly arranged through the clothes stacker board. The PID method is applied to DC motors that move under the clothes folder so that the buildup of clothes underneath will not be pressured upward when the clothes are piled up when they are folded. Ultrasonic sensor will measure the right height between the clothes with the door opening the stacking clothes with kp = 1, ki = 0.1, kd = 0.5 for thin clothes and kp = 5, ki = 1, kd = 2.5 for thick clothes so that the movement of the motor can adjust its speed . This tool can fold one shirt in 16.83 seconds 11 seconds faster than folding clothes manually</em>

Abstract - Control and monitoring of the rotational speed of a wheel (DC motor) in a process system is very important role in the implementation of the industry. PWM control and monitoring for wheel rotational speed on a pair of DC motors uses computer interface devices where in the industry this is needed to facilitate operators in controlling and monitoring motor speed. In order to obtain the best controller, tuning the Integral Derifative (PID) controller parameter is done. In this tuning we can know the value of proportional gain (Kp), integral time (Ti) and derivative time (Td). The PID controller will give action to the DC motor control based on the error obtained, the desired DC motor rotation value is called the set point. LabVIEW software is used as a PE monitor, motor speed control. Keyword : LabView, Motor DC, Arduino, LabView, PID.

Background: Brushless DC motors are highly efficient motors due to its high torque to weight ratio, compact design, high speed operating capability and higher power density. Conventional Hall sensor based rotor position sensing is affected by the heating, vibration, interference and noise. Objective: The innovative, cost effective and easily implementable sensorless techniques are essential in order to achieve high efficiency, reduced current and reduced torque pulsations. Further, a delay free, high load fast startup is also important issue. Methods: In this paper an extensive review of various techniques based on the detection of freewheeling diode current, phase back EMF zero crossoing point detection, back EMF integration method and third harmonic back EMF was done. The study and effect of various PWM strategies on back EMF detection was studied. Later on the sensorless schemes based on flux linkage estimation and flux linkage increment were introduced. The load torque observers, unknown input observers, sliding mode observers, L∞-induced observers, H ∞ - deconvolution filter for back EMF estimation were also reviewed. As the brushless DC motors have no back EMF at starting and for back EMF based commutation a minimum speed is required for sufficient back EMF. Therefore various strategies of open and close-loop reduced current startup have been studied to achieve effective commutation without reverse torque. Initial position detection (IPD) schemes, which are mostly based on saliency and current response to inductance variation, is effective where reverse torque is strictly prohibited. A detailed review of these initial position detection techniques (IPD) has also been presented. Results: The detailed mathematical and graphical analysis has been presented here in order to understand the working of the state-of-art sensorless techniques. Conclusion: The back EMF detection using direct and indirect methods of terminal voltage filtering have the problem of delay and attenuation, PWM noise, freewheeling diode spikes and disturbance in detected back EMFs is a drawback. The parameter detuning, underestimation and overestimation, offset problem, system noise and observer gain variation etc. limit the applicability of observer based technique. Therefore, a more robust and precise position estimation scheme is essential.
