The article presents the results of a study of the anti-corrosion properties of composite materials based on epoxy resin modified with a mixture of AGM-9 and TGM-3 in a ratio of 1:3 and treated with zinc oxide nanoparticles. It is established that the coating of metals with epoxy oligomers and zinc nanoparticles significantly increases their resistance to corrosion. After holding in a 3.5% NaCl solution for 90 days, the hardness of metals without coating decreases by 22%, modified with AGM-9 and TGM-3 composites - by 11%, and modified with epoxy oligomers in combination with zinc nanoparticles-by only 3 %.

A composite material based on zinc oxide nanoparticles synthesized by the chemical hydrothermal method and a polymer insulated matrix of sodium silicate was obtained. Free zinc oxide nanoparticles were formed by heating an equimolar solution of zinc nitrate and hexamethylenetetramine with different pH values (3–5). Nanoparticles were introduced into an aqueous sodium silicate solution and applied on a silicon substrate by centrifugation. Using scanning electron microscopy, we studied the structure and morphology of zinc oxide nanoparticles on a silicon substrate in unbound state and after their introduction into the sodium silicate matrix. It was found that the obtained particles have a hexagonal crystal lattice and a bimodal size distribution. After introduction in the matrix of sodium silicate, only smaller zinc oxide nanoparticles with an average diameter of 45 nm remain in it. Studying of the photoluminesclence spectra of a composite material, including zinc oxide nanoparticles obtained at different pH values of the initial solution, showed the presence of exciton and defectrelated photoluminescence bands with intensity’s maximums located at 383 and 590 nm, respectively. Zinc oxide nanoparticles in the stabilizing matrix of sodium silicate exhibit a higher relative intensity of exciton photoluminescence than unbound particles. The highest value of the relative intensity of exciton photoluminescence was achieved for a composite material including zinc oxide nanoparticles synthesized at pH=3,35 of the initial solution. The resulting composite materials can be used in optoelectronic and photovoltaic devices, and as an optical medium of non-cavity lasers.

Aim: To evaluate biosynthesis of hydroxy citric acid mediated zinc nanoparticle and its antioxidant and cytotoxic activity Introduction: Hydroxy citric acid is a chemical that is found in fruit rinds of Garcinia cambogia, Garcinia indica, and Garcinia atroviridis. Hydroxy citric acid is used to improve exercise performance and weight loss. Hydroxy citric acid can cause nausea, digestive tract discomfort, and headache when used short-term. Long-term safety is unknown.Zinc oxide nanoparticles are nanoparticles of zinc oxide that have diameters less than 100 nanometers. Zinc nanoparticles have a large surface area relative to their size and high catalytic activity. The exact physical and chemical properties of zinc oxide nanoparticles depend on the different ways they are synthesized. zinc oxide nanoparticles have also been shown to exhibit strong protein adsorption properties, which can be used to modulate cytotoxicity, metabolism or other cellular responses. Materials and Methods: Evaluation of anti-oxidant was done by DPPH activity and evaluation of cytotoxic activity was done by brine shrimp lethality assay. Colour changes was noted in evaluation of cytotoxic activity Results: The antioxidant activity was exhibited well at higher doses when compared to standard, but there was only 40% of cytotoxicity achieved which indicates its potential.Cytotoxic activity reveals that the drug showed a very good result at a concentration of  25 ul it showed a 40% of lethality thereby showing  that Hydroxycitric acid medicated zinc oxide nanoparticles shows a potent activity when compared to that with the standard. Conclusion: The study concludes that hydroxy citric acid shows good antioxidant and cytotoxic activity.

The hypothesis was that owing to their high bioavailability, zinc oxide nanoparticles (NanoZnO) can effectively replace (Zn) salts and reduce Zn excretion with faeces. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of NanoZnO on the development of chicken embryos, the growth of broiler chickens, and Zn excretion with faeces. At day 1 of incubation, 120 eggs were randomly divided between a control group (not injected) and groups injected with a hydrocolloid of NanoZnO in increasing concentrations (50, 100, 500 mg/L). At day 19 of incubation, no differences were observed in the bodyweight, but 100 and 500 mg/L affected liver and heart weights, indicating that high levels of NanoZnO may induce differential organ development. In the subsequent experiment, 308 chickens were randomly divided into six groups. The control diet was supplemented with 55 mg Zn/kg (standard level), the 0 group received no Zn supplement, and groups fed NanoZnO received 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% of the standard level. The 100% replacement of ZnO with NanoZnO increased the chickens’ bodyweight compared with the standard level of ZnO, but to the same level as the diet without ZnO supplementation. Furthermore, NanoZnO did not reduce the content of Zn in faeces, which was only significantly lower in the group without ZnO supplementation in comparison with other groups. The results indicate that the replacement of ZnO with NanoZnO had no negative effects on chicken growth. Compared with ZnO, NanoZnO did not reduce Zn excretion with faeces. This study which designed to evaluate the inhibitory effect of Ethanolic extract of (Quercusrobur) and Zinc oxide nanoparticles on the growth of one genus of enterobacteriacae (Salmonella). In vitro. For this purpose graduate concentrates for plant extract (50, 100, 200, 400 )mg/ml which prepared and compared with Zinc oxide nanoparticles of different concentration (2, 1, 0.5, 0.25) μg/ml,and examined. The result showed that the studied medicinal plant has antibacterial activity against this bacteria which used. The result showed that the plant has good activity in decrease the growth of this bacteria. The results of the study also showed that the nano-ZnO has very effective antibacterial action against the studied bacteria which was Salmonella,nanoparticles concentrations lead to increasing in the inhibition zones of tested bacterial growth. We also study the effect of three antibiotics Lomefloxacin (LOM), Ciprofloxacin (SIP) and Rifampin (RA) and the result showed,in a comparison within the tested bacteria,Salmonella had a significant inhibition increase in Lomefloxacin ; the ciprofloxacin showed effect on tested bacteria. However,Rifampin does not show any effect on tested bacteria.
