The publication of Reintroduction Biology of Australian and New Zealand Fauna nearly 20 years ago introduced the new science of ‘reintroduction biology’. Since then, there have been vast changes in our understanding of the process of reintroductions and other conservation-driven translocations, and corresponding changes in regulatory frameworks governing translocations. Advances in Reintroduction Biology of Australian and New Zealand Fauna is a timely review of our understanding of translocation from an Australasian perspective, ensuring translocation becomes an increasingly effective conservation management strategy in the future. Written by experts, including reintroduction practitioners, researchers and policy makers, the book includes extensive practical advice and example case studies, identifies emerging themes and suggests future directions. Conservation practitioners and researchers, as well as conservation management agencies and NGOs will find the book a valuable resource. Although it is based on Australasian examples, it will be of interest globally due to synergies with reintroduction programs throughout the world. 2015 Whitley Awards Certificate of Commendation for Conservation Biology.

This article offers a historical analysis of the major themes that the language motivation field has examined in its 60-year history. The discussion starts by briefly reviewing the social-psychological and the situated–cognitive periods. The former was primarily concerned with affective factors in intergroup relations, while the latter with learners in classroom contexts. The second half of the article surveys a number of emerging themes in the field to highlight major findings and potential future directions. These themes include the dynamic, affective, unconscious, and long-term aspects of motivation to learn English and other languages, as well as the implications of the pervasive presence of technology in daily life.

This paper examines flashpacker as an area of research; which discusses the new phenomenon of the flashpacker originating it’s term from “backpacker”.  In this review, a deeper analysis of the evolution and development is presented, charting the growth of the literature, focusing both chronology and epistemology. A framework for understanding and creating knowledge about flashpacker is presented, forming the basis which signposts established research themes and concepts and outlines some future directions for research. In addition, this article focuses on constraining and propelling forces, ontological advances, contributions from key journals, emerging themes and issues. The paper suggests that flashpacker has numerous foundational origins that have complicated its growth as a viable and valued concept. This paper also proposes a number of research activities in understanding the flashpacker. Keywords: flashpacker, epistemology, framework, creating knowledge, research activities

Although there are big numbers of women entrepreneurs in Pakistan, and their percentage in the population is almosthalf 49.6%. They can play an important role in the economy. In Pakistan, most of the studies were on opportunitiesfor the women in Pakistan. In this study, we tried to explore research questions: what sort of difficulties areexperienced by females “entrepreneurs” in Pakistan? How ‘societal and cultural aspects effect “women entrepreneurs”in Pakistan? For this purpose, I opted the qualitative research strategy. There were some emerging themes. In the end,I concluded this study, discussed some limitations, and suggested future directions.

Some of the most emotionally powerful experiences result from the development, maintenance, and disruption of attachment relationships. In this article, I review several emerging themes and unresolved debates in the social-psychological study of adult attachment, including debates about the ways in which attachment-related functions shift over the course of development, what makes some people secure or insecure in their close relationships, consensual nonmonogamy, the evolutionary function of insecure attachment, and models of thriving through relationships.

Abstract:This article reviews a range of important recent work on Greek religion. It looks first at the critique (common to a number of the books under review) of the polis-religion model associated with Christiane Sourvinou-Inwood and then attempts to draw out a number of emerging themes: a comparative approach, a focus on the gods or on individual worshippers and a cognitive perspective. It then examines in more detail the application of the terms ‘belief’ or ‘theology’ to the field of Greek religion and the extent to which any picture of Greek religious experience may be said to be logically coherent, before looking forward to possible future directions of study.

The role of electron microscopy and associated techniques is assured in diagnostic pathology. At the present time, most of the progress has been made on tissues examined by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and correlated with light microscopy (LM) and by cytochemistry using both plastic and paraffin-embedded materials. As mentioned elsewhere in this symposium, this has revolutionized many fields of pathology including diagnostic, anatomic and clinical pathology. It began with the kidney; however, it has now been extended to most other organ systems and to tumor diagnosis in general. The results of the past few years tend to indicate the future directions and needs of this expanding field. Now, in addition to routine EM, pathologists have access to the many newly developed methods and instruments mentioned below which should aid considerably not only in diagnostic pathology but in investigative pathology as well.
