Kata Kunci : Sistem Presensi, RFID RC522, Nodemcu, Laboratorium Komputer AbstractThis research is motivated by the absence system that is not able to monitoring how many visitors are computer labs at the Computer Engineering study at STMIK AMIKBANDUNG. This causes the level of student visits not monitored and even often seen a stranger entering the room. The consequences of this can lead to theft or other undesirable things. Over time, developing technology led to a new innovation in the field of room security. Namely using a device called Radio Frequency Identification or better known as RFID. The author took the initiative to create a tool that besides being able to secure a room but also function as a web-based presence system. This tool can certainly monitor anyone who enters the room and is able to record the time in the log in check-in section. The application of this technology can be embedded on student cards owned by each member of the Computer Engineering study program. This is certainly very useful if there are no supervisors in the room. Security can be guaranteed and monitored remotely via the website. The results of the design and configuration of the tool are tested with conduct a trial entry into the miniature door of the computer laboratory room that has been made previously. There are three sample cards provided by the author including: registered students, unregistered students, and visitors. All three cards have different access rights. Some have access and some don't.Keywords : Presence System, RFID RC522, Nodemcu, Computer Laboratory

This project is based on designing of student identification system using RFID i.e. Radio Frequency Identification which is to fulfill broad range of purposes, least being an electronic student identification system focuses on academic and monitoring purposes, more also to address the problem when using the paper as student attendance such as cheating. The work provided the alternative way of interfacing a tag and a reader to get code of student’s card (tag) to compare with the database in Access, which is developed using Visual Basic 6.0 to make the database easier to access. When a student swipes his card on the reader, his information like student’s name, registration number, level, sex, and date of birth will show on interface if the code matched with database.

To provide certain level of serviceability, road authorities need to perform appropriate and timely maintenance and rehabilitation (M&R) activities. Manholes on roads are the most persecution for the evenness of pavements. Lowering manholes into road structures is a good approach to keep the serviceability of pavement. However, a vast expanse of road systems greatly increases the complexity of manhole identifications. Therefore, an emerging method to find the manholes beneath pavements is needed. In this study, radio frequency identification (RFID) technology was used to identify manholes. RFID tags stuck on the metal were buried in asphalt concrete at different depths and then were identified from laboratory experiments. On the other hand, location-based service (LBS) has been applied to mobile devices with mobile positioning functions to provide users with location-specific services for several years. Augmented reality (AR) can support users in manipulating virtual objects in real environments. In this study, a mobile manholes monitoring system (MMS) and a web-based MMS based on LBS and AR were developed. The RFID adhered to covers of manholes beneath pavements can be easily monitored by the mobile MMS. The location and information of neighboring manholes will be transmitted from the web-based MMS and be shown on the mobile MMS based on the AR technology. By using RFID and AR technologies, the time and costs of manhole identifications can be significantly decreased and then pavement maintenance activities also can be timely processed.

Abstract There are many ways to find out the whereabouts of lecturers and students during lecture activities, like using old method by writing in presence sheet paper, using barcodes or using computerized methods. And the problem that often arises in the State Polytechnic of Malang is the calculation of attendance which takes a long time and requires extra effort to recap the data from student attendance sheets in each class. In this study, the attendance system will use RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology. Where each lecturer and student will have an RFID tag with their respective identity numbers which will be used for attendance. The RFID tag will be scanned and the data obtained will be stored in the database in the form of name, date, day, time of attendance and time out. ABSTRACTInternet of Things (IoT)  is one of the technological paradigms developed in the industrial revolution 4.0. The concept of IoT is an object can transfer data over a network without interaction from human-to-human or from human-to-computer. One of the IoT implementations in the education sector is the attendance system using IoT-based Radio Frequency Identification (RFID).  The attendance machines such as fingerprints and face recognition have a relatively high-cost compared to RFID machines. Hence, if the number of attendance machines within the School is limited, it will be less efficient for a large number of students and vulnerable to queuing. The RFID implementation in the Education sector was socialized through a Workshop with students and teachers of the secondary schools in Purwakarta, West Java, as the participants. To provide additional insight and expertise about the RFID-IoT concept to the workshop participants, this community service activity needs to be done. Several benefits will be obtained through this workshop, including saving paper use and efficiency, because the RFID-based IoT can reduce the teachers’ workload in processing the student attendance lists. Teachers are also invited to this workshop so they can guide their students and pass on the additional skills. Moreover, the invited teacher will teach new knowledge related to workshop material to other students in the School. Keywords: Internet-of-things, RFID, Mesin Kehadiran, Workshop, Purwakarta ABSTRAKInternet of Things (IoT) merupakan salah satu paradigma teknologi yang dikembangkan dalam revolusi industri 4.0.

In every academic and student activity, data collection on student meetings is always done. General student data collection activities are still carried out manually by filling in the student attendance form. Besides being able to help and correct problems in lecturing activities, the manual presentation system is not practical in centralized recording and also increases human error in recording. The technology that can be used to add to these shortcomings is Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) in the presence of students. By utilizing RFID technology to approve and MySQL as a database, it is expected that student data collection and recording can be done easily and centrally. It can be concluded from the study that each RFID card used is a unique card identity that functions as a valid marker or identity for students or lecturers in conducting attendance.

A web-based architecture of an radio frequency identification (RFID) tracking solution is proposed and deployed. The architecture attempts to depart from the typical localized approach of most RFID middlewares. The middleware has been replaced by a web service residing in a cloud. The traditional roles of the middleware such as tag data filtering, sorting, storage, and event processing have been redistributed amongst an RFID reader-based application and the web service. This architecture provides more flexibility and control to large scale RFID-based supply chain operations which are global in nature and unsuitable to the traditional localized middleware-based architecture of RFID tracking solutions. The feasibility of the web-based architecture is further augmented by validating performance parameters such as tag processing and primitive and complex event processing delay. Different subarchitectures are also proposed based on performance data for different scales of operations.
