Nursing as a service area, is very labor-intensive, making nursing management particularly challenging due to the diverse experiences and educational backgrounds of employees in health care settings. Types of work, as well as workers, challenge nursing managers to create the type of environment that facilitates quality nursing practice. The nurse manager has specific responsibilities for the hospital and the staff. Staffs, in turn, have responsibilities towards both the organization and the manager. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of nurses’ performance using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method and the Rating Scale method at the Royal Prima Hospital, Medan. This research is a descriptive-analytic study. The study was conducted from April to August 2020 at the Royal Prima Hospital Medan. The number of samples is 50 people. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the performance of nurses using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method and the Rating Scale at the Royal Prima Hospital Medan in 2020. The results of the multivariate test can be seen that the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is the most influential. is a quantity. In the Rating Scale method, the most influential is quality. It is hoped that prioritization can be made to conduct a performance review to identify existing weaknesses so that improvements can be made continuously continuous for all services. The Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is a popular method for solving multi-criteria problems. However, the problem of the adequacy of the AHP method is not solved. Opponents of the Analytic hierarchy process believe that the AHP as a whole is erroneous and cannot be applied in practice. Proponents of the method believe that the disadvantages of the method are compensated by a simple measurement procedure. In this paper, a modification of the AHP method is proposed. A mathematical model of measurement is formulated, which contains a built-in mechanism for checking adequacy. moreover, the measurement method is preserved, and the calculation algorithm becomes even simpler. The fact is that the Analytic hierarchy process is based on the assumption that the scale of relations can be obtained by pairwise comparison using numerical judgments based on the absolute scale of numbers. Fechner’s psychophysical law is considered as a justification for the existence of the scale of relations. But there are not one, but two psychophysical laws. The existence of two psychophysical laws is a problem of psychophysics. This problem can be solved by the rating method. To overcome the disadvantages of the Analytic hierarchy process, it is also proposed to use the rating method. The use of the rating method makes it possible to use the fundamental scale of the AHP method. As an example, the problem is solved using the traditional AHP scale.

To classify the difficulty of the experiments is the basis of the effective mutlit-level experimental instruction. In this paper, we employ the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method to compare and analyse the difficult of the experiments, and set up a corresponding comparison judgment matrix to the difficulty of the projects. We obtain some sortings of difficulty of experiments, which coincide with the fact. Our studies offer an effective way to the rational sorting of difficulty of experiments.

Abstract The level of occupational health and safety is one of the determinants of the company's efficiency. The article assessed the quality of general initial training (general training) and initial training at the workplace (on-the-job training) carried out in selected business entities related to the hard coal mining industry. Problem included in the above trainings were interpreted as a criterion function within a multi-criteria analysis based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Application of the AHP method allowed to perform a diagnostic (comparative) assessment of objects (business entities), both objects and accepted assessment criteria were compared in pairs with each other (the evaluator's preferences (subjectivity of assessments) are treated in the Analytic Hierarchy Process as a natural phenomenon).

The purpose of this research is to study the priority order of the criteria and sub-criteria that influence supplier selection and to find out which supplier or supplier of the best raw material, which best meets the criteria for selecting the supplier that should be selected. In this study only limited to 4 criteria, namely price, quality, warranty, and delivery. This research is a qualitative research using the calculation method used is the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The software used in using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is version 3.2 super decisions. The findings show that the price criterion is the most important priority for companies to pay attention to, followed by delivery, quality, and warranty criteria.

We examine the five methods for determining the degree of the risk of falling in older women. These five methods are the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), the Guiasu method, the Yen method, the set-valued statistical method, and the Dempster–Shafer method. We consider the weight of importance of the experts involved. We show that the coefficients of the factors for the risk of falling for the AHP equation may be different than those determined by the weighted AHP method, but that they remain exactly the same for the Guiasu, Yen, and set-valued statistical methods. We also determine conditions under which the coefficients of the factors are the same for the weighted AHP, Guiasu, Yen, and set-valued statistical methods.

Abstract Introduction Haemodialysis is one of the methods of renal replacement therapy which is most frequently used in Poland and in the world in patients with chronic and acute renal failure. Purpose: An attempt was made to have patients undergoing regular haemodialysis assess the results of activity of dialysis centres. Methods 64 patients (30 women, 34 men, age: 50.2 +/- 11.9 years) undergoing dialysis therapy in three selected dialysis centres in Poland were included in the study. A questionnaire correlated with the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was employed for the assessment. The dialysis centres were assessed by the patients in the context of availability of services, communication between the medical staff and the patient and the treatment used. Two sub-criteria were connected with each criterion, for which significance (priorities) indicating a dependent impact on the assessment of the quality of dialysis centres was calculated. Results From amongst four domains of the assessment of dialysis centres, the patients rated medical care and nursing care the highest (w = 0.386), where medical care had significance equal to 0.455, and nursing care had significance equal to = 0.545. The next important part of the assessment of dialysis centres was communication between the medical staff and the patient (w = 0.321) and the treatment used (haemodialysis) (w = 0.155). Availability of services had the lowest significance (w = 0.138), including performance of examinations for kidney transplant and medical transport for haemodialysis. Conclusions The assessment of dialysis centres using the AHP method should be part of the therapeutic process where one needs to emphasise the role of the patient in chronic nephrological care which translates into the quality of services provided by dialysis centres. Key messages The assessment of dialysis centres using the AHP method should be part of the therapeutic process. The patient’s role and its good assessment in the treatment process is very important.
