Abstract Background Patient awareness surveys on polypharmacy have been reported previously, but no previous study has examined the effects of sending feedback to health professionals on reducing medication use. Our study aimed to conduct a patient survey to examine factors contributing to polypharmacy, feedback the results to health professionals, and analyze the resulting changes in the number of polypharmacy patients and prescribed medications. Methods After conducting a questionnaire survey of patients in Study 1, we provided its results to the healthcare professionals, and then surveyed the number of polypharmacy patients and oral medications using a before-after comparative study design in Study 2. In Study 1, we examined polypharmacy and its contributing factors by performing logistic regression analysis. In Study 2, we performed a t-test and a chi-square test. Results In the questionnaire survey, significant differences were found in the following 3 items: age (odds ratio (OR) = 3.14; 95% confidence interval (CI) = 2.01–4.91), number of medical institutions (OR = 2.34; 95%CI = 1.50–3.64), and patients’ difficulty with asking their doctors to deprescribe their medications (OR = 2.21; 95%CI = 1.25–3.90). After the feedback, the number of polypharmacy patients decreased from 175 to 159 individuals and the mean number of prescribed medications per patient decreased from 8.2 to 7.7 (p < 0.001, respectively). Conclusions Providing feedback to health professionals on polypharmacy survey results may lead to a decrease in the number of polypharmacy patients. Factors contributing to polypharmacy included age (75 years or older), the number of medical institutions (2 or more institutions), and patients’ difficulty with asking their physicians to deprescribe their medications. Feedback to health professionals reduced the percentage of polypharmacy patients and the number of prescribed medications. Trial registration UMIN. Financial literacy is one of the key components of education for living in a modern society. In this article, we present the results of our research into the current state of financial literacy among university students from two European countries. Our research was conducted in the form of a questionnaire survey. In the first part of the questionnaire we investigated selected personal characteristics of respondents and the second part was devoted to knowledge in different areas of financial literacy. The knowledge questions were focused mainly on respondents’ competence in specific practical situations. The obtained data were processed by statistical analysis, including the dependencies between the results of the knowledge part and the self-reflexive assessment in the first part of the questionnaire. A dental questionnaire survey conducted on 34 high school students, 55 university students, 23 Middle-age who participated in the university festival. Participants answered yes or no to ten self-administered questions. Also, participants described the hardness of meals, brushing teeth after meals, and time to spend eating in a questionnaire. As a result, some students even had some guminflammation. Middle –Ages had many people who had experience with swollen gums (52.2%). Of the participants, the Middle Ages were few who applied fluorine (17.4%), and many were students (high school students 64.7%, university students 90.9%). Most people brush their teeth after breakfast or dinner. Participants replied that they usually eat a little hard (52.0%) or soft (38.1%) food. One high school student replied that he usually eats soft food. The time to eat was longer than breakfast and then dinner, but it was less than 30 minutes ever for dinner. Middle-Ages ad an average time to spend eating of fewer than 10 minutes for breakfast, 14 minutes for lunch, and 22 minutes for dinner. Middle ages had shorter meal times in all than students. Form the results of the participants; we wondered if they did not chew food very well because they eat soft food in a short time.

This study presented a survey results of the statistical tools used by undergraduate university students in Department of Industrial Engineering,Faculty of Engineering, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia. A number of 26 reports of students’ final project from 2018-2020 was identified and studied. A checksheet form was developed to record the 14 statistical tools used by students consists of descriptive statistics (2 items), inference statistics (10 items), multivariate (1 item) and statistical package used (1 item). The data were analyzed for its frequency and percentage. Results showed that all reports used descriptive statistics to present participant’s demography of their research, as well as the summary of statistics. For inference statistics, the students used a variety of normality test, 2 t-test, anova, equal variance, proportion test, a few nonparametric tests, regression and correlation and multivariate statistics. For statistical package, most students used Minitab (46,2%), followed by SPSS (34,4%) and other such as AMOS, Listrel, PLS(15.4%). Among them, 11.5% used more than one software. In addition, the results of this study could be used to evaluate the contents of the relevant course.
