В монографии рассматриваются перспективы совершенствования системы допуска водителей транспортных средств к участию в дорожном движении на основе подходов риск-ориентированного управления, межведомственного взаимодействия, развития и внедрения цифровых технологий. The peer-reviewed monograph was of great practical importance for improving police activities to prevent and suppress the facts of driving while intoxicated, as well as for interacting with medical organizations on these issues, which, as a result, was the key to reducing the accident rate for this reason. The monograph considers the prospects for improving the system of admission of drivers of vehicles to participate in road traffic on the basis of risk-based management approaches, interagency interaction, development and the introduction of digital technologies.

The right to continued employment is designed to protect employees and is of great practical importance. In practice, employers frequently try to refuse to satisfy this right within the framework of foreclosure proceedings by arguing that they were unable to satisfy an employee’s right to continued employment because their job no longer existed. This work illustrates whether and under which conditions the loss of a job in this way can justify either such reasoning according to section 275, para. 1 of the BGB, Germany’s civil code, or the right to refuse an employee’s services according to section 275, para. 2 or 3 of the BGB. The book deals with the various ways an employer can be released from the obligation of offering continued employment under the BetrVG, the German Works Council Constitutional Act, pursuant to section 102, para. 5, No. 1–3, and it describes in detail under what conditions an employee can be adjudged to be an economically unreasonable burden pursuant to section 102, para 5, No. 2 of the BetrVG.

Abstract Introduction Traumatic head injury with extradural hematoma (EDH) is seen in 2% of patients. Development of EDH on the contralateral side is an uncommon complication that has been reported in various case reports. Case Report We report here a case of an 18-year-old male who had a road traffic injury. He was diagnosed as a case of left-sided large frontotemporoparietal acute extradural bleed with a mass effect toward the right side. He was managed with urgent craniotomy and evacuation of hematoma. A noncontrast computed tomography (NCCT) scan performed 8 hours after postoperative period showed a large frontotemporoparietal bleed on the right side with a mass effect toward the left side. He was again taken to the operating room and right-sided craniotomy and evacuation of hematoma were performed. A postoperative NCCT scan revealed a resolved hematoma. The patient made a complete recovery in the postoperative period and is doing well. Conclusion Delayed onset epidural hematoma is diagnosed when the initial computed tomography (CT) scan is negative or is performed early and when late CT scan performed to assess clinical or ICP deterioration shows an EDH. The diagnosis of such a condition requires a high index of suspicion based on the mechanism of injury along with fracture patterns. Additionally, change in pupillary size, raised intracranial pressure, and bulging of the brain intraoperatively are additional clues for contralateral bleeding. Neurologic deterioration may or may not be associated with delayed EDH presentation. An early postoperative NCCT scan within 24 hours is recommended to detect this complication with or without any neurologic deterioration.

This work is devoted to the speech impact of advertising texts, in other words, the language of advertising, the purpose of which is to attract the attention of a potential consumer by making the message as memorable and unusual as possible, lively and catchy, colorful and attractive to a potential listener / buyer. The significance of the work lies in the fact that the author, in the process of analyzing the basic structural elements of the advertising message (slogan and main body), determines the main speech techniques for the influence of advertising texts: expressive means, including metaphors, epithets metonymy, speech turns, paths, various grammatical forms and other forms of influence: nominative, one-part, verb sentences, comparative and superlative adjectives, rhymes, imperative verbs, adverbs, lexical repetition. On specific examples of advertising slogans, evidence is given that the above speech means contribute to increased demand for the advertised product or service. During the study, the author confirms the hypothesis put forward at the beginning of the study: if you skillfully use speech exposure, i.e. to choose words whose harmonious combination lays in the subconscious of a person the information transmitted to him by the manufacturer through high-quality advertising, then such an advertising text can become the key to the success of trade. The work is of great practical importance: the material presented in it can be used by students to improve the culture of speech, improve stylistically differentiated speech, as well as school teachers as methodological material in the Russian language when studying the section «Vocabulary», «Stylistics».

The article considers the results of research of accident rate heterogeneity in cities-administrative centers of subjects of Russian Federation (2015, 2016). Using methods of ranging, regression analysis and spatial differentiation these cities were classified into 5 classes on the basis of relative disadvantage in road traffic safety sphere. For each group of cities differentiated recommendations on financing regional road traffic safety programs were suggested.

Experimental Use

The experimental use of “geologic radar” to explore through coal from mined passages underground has already been reported elsewhere (Cook, 1973, 1974). Low‐resolution borehole radar work in salt, a much more favorable medium, has also been reported (Holzer et al., 1972). The purpose of this paper is to report the first known results of borehole radar tests in coal. The exploration of coal seams via boreholes from the surface is potentially a technique of great practical importance. The borehole experiment was performed in conjunction with a month‐long program of radar tests in Australian collieries and quarries performed under the sponsorship of the third ICOGEO and supported by several Australian mining and research organizations. A report on that program is expected to appear in the Bulletin of the Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists some time during 1977.
