Purpose. To determine the diagnostic accuracy of DOBIComfortScan in patients with Breast Imaging Reporting suspect breast lesions (BI-RADS) 4-5 breast lesions. Materials and Methods. One-hundred and thirteen patients underwent DOBIComfortScan examination before surgery. Twelve parameters were taken into consideration to define DOBI findings. Results. Twenty-seven radical mastectomies, 47 quadrantectomies and 39 wide excisions, were performed. Overall, 65 invasive cancer, 9 in situ carcinoma and 39 nonmalignant lesions, were observed. Ten out of 12 considered parameters resulted significantly in association with histology at discriminant analysis. A summation score of 30.5 resulted to be the best cut off at ROC analysis, giving a sensitivity and specificity of 80% and 87%, respectively, and a positive predictive value of 92.2%. Finally the following DOBI-BI-RADS model was developed: malignant B5≥38 score); possibly malignant (B4=25-37 score); benign but the possibility of malignancy cannot be excluded (B3=20-24 score); benign (B2<20 score). Conclusion. definition of other parameters permits to improve the accuracy of this procedure. Further studies are warranted to define the potential role of DOBIComfortScan in breast cancer imaging.

The term ?business model' has recently attracted increased attention in the context of financial reporting and was formally introduced into the IFRS literature when IFRS 9 Financial Instruments was published in November 2009. However, IFRS 9 did not fully define the term ‘business model'. Furthermore, the literature on business models is quite diverse. It has been conducted in largely isolated fashion; therefore, no generally accepted definition of ?business model' has emerged. Therefore, a better understanding of the notion itself should be developed before further investigating its potential role within financial reporting. The aim of this paper is to highlight some of the perceived key themes and to identify other bases for grouping/organizing the literature based on business models. The contributions this paper makes to the literature are twofold: first, it complements previous review papers on business models; second, it contains a clear position on the distinction between the notions of the business model and strategy, which many authors identify as a key element in better explaining and communicating the notion of the business model. In this author's opinion, the term ‘strategy' is a dynamic and forward-looking notion, a sort of directional roadmap for future courses of action, whereas, ‘business model' is a more static notion, reflecting the conceptualisation of the company's underlying core business logic. The conclusion contains the author's thoughts on the role of the business model in financial reporting.

The Cajal (coiled) body (CB) is a structure enriched in proteins involved in mRNA, rRNA, and snRNA metabolism. CBs have been shown to interact with specific histone and snRNA gene loci. To examine the potential role of CBs in U2 snRNA metabolism, we used a variety of genomic and oligonucleotide probes to visualize in situ newly synthesized U2 snRNA relative to U2 loci and CBs. Results demonstrate that long spacer sequences between U2 coding repeats are transcribed, supporting other recent evidence that U2 transcription proceeds past the 3′ box. The presence of bright foci of this U2 locus RNA differed between alleles within the same nucleus; however, this did not correlate with the loci's association with a CB. Experiments with specific oligonucleotide probes revealed signal for preU2 RNA within CBs. PreU2 was also detected in the locus-associated RNA foci, whereas sequences 3′ of preU2 were found only in these foci, not in CBs. This suggests that a longer primary transcript is processed before entry into CBs. Although this work shows that direct contact of a U2 locus with a CB is not simply correlated with RNA at that locus, it provides the first evidence of new preU2 transcripts within CBs. We also show that, in contrast to CBs, SMN gems do not associate with U2 gene loci and do not contain preU2. Because other evidence indicates that preU2 is processed in the cytoplasm before assembly into snRNPs, results point to an involvement of CBs in modification or transport of preU2 RNA.

Objective To investigate the role of quantitative analysis of T2 relaxation time in the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) diagnosis of breast cancer. Methods The study enrolled patients with clinical breast masses who were examined using MRI at eight different echo times. The differences in T2 relaxation time of benign and malignant breast lesions were analysed. Results A total of 67 patients (67 breast lesions: 46 malignant, 21 benign) were examined. The mean ± SD T2 relaxation time was significantly lower in the 46 malignant lesions compared with the 21 benign lesions (82.69 ± 15.37 ms versus 95.48 ± 26.51 ms, respectively). The area under the curve was 0.731. Using 79.52 ms as the cut-off between benign and malignant breast lesions, a sensitivity of 85.7% and a specificity of 58.7% were obtained. Conclusions There was a significant difference in T2 relaxation time between benign and malignant breast lesions. The specificity of using T2 relaxation time alone for the differentiation of benign from malignant lesions was not high, but it could constitute a new adjunct in the MRI diagnosis of breast cancer.

This study aimed to evaluate the role of Ag NORs in improves diagnosis of Breast cancer with different subtypes’ among Sudanese Patients. This study include tissue sections of breast cancer diagnosed women, they were 30, ductal and lobular invasive carcinoma were 10 for each, while ductal and lobular in-situ carcinoma were 5 each. Found correlation between subtypes of breast cancer and Ag NOR , Invasive ductal carcinoma had more NOR while the lobular carcinoma in situ was less one , Stage III most frequency than the other stage. Silver staining were performed and Ag-NOR were detected in ductal and lobular invasive carcinoma more than ductal and lobular in-situ carcinoma, grade III has more frequency of Ag-NOR than other stages, and no correlation found between Ag-NOR and age group

INTRODUCTION: The four main roles of ultrasound in Breast imaging are-primary screening, supplemental screening, diagnosis and Interventional procedures. Palpable masses, abnormal nipple discharge and mammographic abnormalities constitute the most common indication for targeted Breast Ultrasound. AIM: To study the role of Ultrasound in evaluating Breast lesions and characterising them as Benign or Malignant. MATERIAL AND METHODS:This is a Retrospective analysis conducted in Department of Radiology, MGM Medical College and Hospital, Kamothey, Navi Mumbai from February 2021 to June 2021. A total of 136 patients with signs and symptoms related to breast lesions were screened. CONCLUSION: The advent of high frequency probe, easy accessibility, cost effectiveness, reliability and relatively easy to perform makes ultrasound as the prime modality of choice for screening breast lesions.

It has been hypothesized that human cytomegalovirus (CMV) may be associated with many cancers in human. However, the role of CMV infection in breast cancer remains unclear. We aimed to assess whether CMV infection have a role in development of breast cancer. A 120 women presented to breast cancer clinic with breast mass. Full history from each woman was taken, full examination including breast examination and lymph-node. Blood was aspirated from each woman for detection of CMV IgG, IgM, tp53 and CA15-3 by ELISA. A 50 patients were documented to have breast cancer by histopathological examination. The study reveal that was heights level of CMV IgG and IgM among patients with malignant breast mass (12/50) and (8/50) respectively in other side the lowest level in benign tumor (6/50) and (2/50) respectively and high prevalence of CMV in breast cancer. In conclusion There is strong evidence suggest that CMV has an important role in the development of breast cancer.
