The present communication consists of the first ever catalogue of Indian Notodontidae Stephens, 1829 comprising systematic accounts of 242 species (including nominotypical subspecies) and 10 subspecies under 116 genera of 10 subfamilies with four new records to India viz. Phalera (Phalera) birmicola Bryk, 1949, Spatalina desiccata stolida Schintlmeister, 2007, Hiradonta hannemanni Schintlmeister, 1989 and Kamalia tattakana (Matsumura, 1927). The account was prepared by compiling findings from both literature survey and field sampling carried out at various Protected Areas in the Indian Himalayas and Chhattisgarh state in the Deccan Peninsular region of India. Zoogeographic analysis of Indian Notodontidae reveals a majority of the assemblage showing Oriental (58.27%) and Palaearctic (40.49%) affinities with maximum species of Sundanian (80.00%), followed by Himalayan (77.65%) origins. In India, the majority of the species are distributed in the Himalayan (35.33%) and North-East (39.40%) biogeographic zones, reflecting maximum endemicity. Extensive surveys in the less explored southern part of the country are expected to enrich the inventory of Indian Notodontidae. The distribution map and detailed illustrations of the four new records are provided.

Ganoderma is a cosmopolitan genus of fungi with species distributed in temperate and tropical regions. Species of Ganoderma in living Leguminosae were observed in Park de la Salud in Pance, Cali, Colombia and we record G. multiplicatum for the first time from Colombia. A distribution map of this genus in the Neotropical region is presented.

Celaenorrhinus pyrrha de Nicéville, 1889, a rare species of Hesperiidae previously known to be distributed from northeastern India to Indochina, is reported from southwestern Yunnan and southwestern Chongqing, China. A 658 bp COI gene sequence of this species is published for the first time. Although Chongqing is obviously isolated from the main distribution range, morphological characters of the specimens from this locality do not indicate a subspecies differentiation. Another rare taxon, C. munda munda (Moore, 1884), is also recorded from China for the first time based upon a male specimen from Cuona County in the Tibet Autonomous Region. This is the second specimen of C. munda from China, over 100 years after the holotype of C. munda joka Evans, 1949. The genitalia of both species are illustrated and described. Some taxonomic notes and a distribution map are provided as well.

ResumenEn el estado de Guanajuato se confirmó la presencia de tlalcoyote (Taxidea taxus) mediante fototrampeo. Estos registros se localizan en la zona de influencia de la Reserva de la Biosfera Sierra Gorda de Guanajuato (RBSGG) y complementan ellistado de mamíferos reportados en la reserva. Los registros más cercanos de tlalcoyote se localizan a 90 km al noroeste en el estado de San Luis Potosíy a 105 km al suroeste del registro colectado en Silao, Guanajuato por Alfredo Dugès en 1874. Es fundamental incluir al tlalcoyote dentro del plan de manejo de la rbsgg con el fin de implementar acciones para su monitoreo y conservación a largo plazo, así como confirmar si en la región puede existir una población establecida y que no se trate de individuos errantes.Palabras clave: cámaras trampa, matorral xerófilo, mustelidae, Sierra Gorda, tejón norteamericano.AbstractIn Guanajuato state is confirmed the presence of tlalcoyote (Taxidea taxus) by camera trapping. <p>Fornecemos novos registros e um mapa de distribuição geográfica atualizado de Pseudopaludicola pocoto Magalhães, Loebmann, Kokubum, Haddad &amp; Garda, 2014 para os estados brasileiros do Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte e Pernambuco. O presente trabalho auxilia a preencher lacunas na distribuição desta espécie descrita para o domínio Caatinga, o que pode ser útil em futuros planos de conservação.</p><p><strong>Palavras chave</strong>: Amphibia, Caatinga, neotrópicos, Semi-árido.</p><p><strong>Abstract</strong>: We provide new records and an updated geographic distribution map of Pseudopaludicola pocoto Magalhães, Loebmann, Kokubum, Haddad &amp; Garda, 2014 for the Brazilian states of Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte and Pernambuco. The present work helps to fill gaps in distribution of this recently described species in Caatinga Biome, which can be useful in future conservation plans.<br />Key words: Amphibia, Caatinga, neotropics, Semiarid.</p>

The morphological concept of Nearctic Shipsa rotunda (Claassen, 1923) (Plecoptera: Nemouridae) was reviewed based on examination of adult males and adult females from across the extensive range of this species. Reproductive terminalia were studied with scanning electron microscopy from five locations, three from Canada and two from the USA. Despite the wide distribution, there is little morphological variation exhibited by males and females. New records are noted for one Canadian province and six US states. Scanning electronic and standard light microscopy images plus a dot distribution map based on museum and valid literature data are provided. Key words: Plecoptera, Nemouridae, Shipsa rotunda, United States, Canada, stoneflies

Neognathophausia ingens (Dohrn, 1870) is a bathypelagic crustacean distributed worldwide. In the western Atlantic it has been recorded off the La Plata region, Argentina, and off the coast of Brazil, from the state of Bahia to Rio de Janeiro. We provide new records of N. ingens from the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, about 1188 km south of its previous distribution limit off Brazil, filling the gap between the central West Atlantic and Argentina. Five specimens were analyzed and drawings for all body regions and appendages are presented. Mandible, thoracopods 2, 4, 5, 6 and 8 and pleopods are illustrated and described for the first time. An updated synonym list and a distribution map for this species in Brazil are provided.

Background and aims – The intensive botanical prospections carried out in Gabon since the publication of the national checklist in 2006 have resulted in c. 34 300 new specimens (amounting to 30% of all collections made in the country) and an annual increase of 25 species in average. As a result, 5175 species of vascular plants are now recorded from Gabon, of which 650 are considered endemic. However, most of the recent discoveries have not yet been published. This paper is the first of a series documenting additions to the flora of Gabon, and new records of poorly known species. It concerns specifically new records from the Lower Ogooué Ramsar site, the third largest delta of Africa, and certainly the most intact, which includes 80% of the country’s wetlands and a wide variety of other habitats.Methods – The new records presented here come essentially from fieldwork conducted in Gabon between 2008 and 2016 by the authors and colleagues. Further information comes from the study of herbarium specimens in BR, BRLU, K, LBV, MO, P and WAG. For each species, information on distribution and ecology is given, and the studied Gabonese collections listed. In case of rare or range-restricted species, collections from other countries are also listed, and a distribution map is provided, as well as an evaluation of the conservation status based on the categories and criteria of the IUCN Red List.Key results – We report 18 additions to the flora of Gabon, including four genera new to the country (Capparis, Gisekia, Hoffmanniella and Leptochloa) and the first records of the neotropical Justicia secunda being naturalised in tropical Africa. New distribution records are also provided for 16 rare Gabonese endemics or near-endemics. Some species are also newly reported from Cameroon (Cissus leemansii, Salacia coronata) and Equatorial Guinea (Cissus leemansii, C. louisii, Lychnodiscus grandifolius, Placodiscus resendeanus, Rutidea gabonensis, Uvaria bipindensis). Two species, which were reported in the 2006 checklist based on misidentifications, are excluded from the Gabonese flora.
