This study aimed to identify the level of e-learning acceptance, and factors that influence it, among students at a teacher education institute in Malaysia. Factors involved in the study were usability perceptions, ease of use, lecturer characteristics, information quality, system quality, and technical support. A total number of 230 students were selected as respondents from the third- and final-year students from various undergraduate programmes that employed e-learning. The instrument used in this study consisted of a set of questionnaires containing 49 question items and using five-point Likert scales. The results of the study were analysed using descriptive statistics that derived means and standard deviations. The results show that the key factors influencing the acceptance of e-learning among the students are usability, lecturer characteristics, system quality, the information provided, and available technical support. The findings also show that students' acceptance of e-learning is influenced by the benefits and usefulness of the programme and, as well, saving time and receiving course content that is simple and appropriate to the task.

E-learning is emerging as the new phenomenon of modern education. Universities are adopting e-learning as a strategy for the improving the teaching/learning process. The primary question addressed in this paper is related to the factors influencing the adoption of e-learning. An integrated model was used to explore the factors influencing students' satisfaction with e-learning in Jordan. The model adopted five variables from the technology acceptance model, Delone and McLean model and the social cognitive theory to predict students' satisfaction with e-learning. A sample of 386 students was utilized and an instrument with 30 items was used. Results indicated that perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, system quality, information quality, and computer self-efficacy are major factors influencing students' satisfaction. The coefficient of determination estimated to be 0.498, and yielded a full support of all proposed hypotheses. Conclusions and future work are reported at the end of this study.

In addition, the acceptance for information system depends on the perceived usefulness and ease of use according to TAM. This research combines TAM with ISM by introducing system quality, quality of platform information, and course information as an antecedent of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. These factors are crucial for understanding users’ intentions to continue their use of ELS. The research model was examined with data collected from 164 practicing students with ELS experiences. The results indicated that system quality, platform information, and course information had a significantly positive effect on users’ satisfaction and their intention to use ELS continuously.

However, a successful e-learning system (ELS) should take both system and information quality into account by applying ISM developed by Delone and McLean. In addition, the acceptance for information system depends on the perceived usefulness and ease of use according to TAM. This research combined TAM with ISM by introducing system quality, quality of platform information, and course information as an antecedent of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. These factors were crucial for understanding users’ intention to continue their use of ELS. This study investigated 412 students with ELS experiences. The results indicate that system quality, platform information, and course information had significantly related to user satisfaction and their intention to use ELS continuously.

This research investigated Qatari citizens' perceptions regarding the factors influencing their satisfaction with Metrash2 system. Qatari residents use Metrash2 to query, transact, and follow-up their needed information/services online. The study integrated the technology acceptance model (TAM) and the information system success model (ISSM) to explore the factors influencing users' satisfaction with the system. Perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use were significant predictors of behavioral intentions (R2 = 0.554). Furthermore, service quality, information quality, and behavioral intentions were significant predictors of users' satisfaction (R2 = 0.789). Research results did not support the role of system quality in predicting users' satisfaction. Qatari government should focus on the usefulness and ease of use of the system to drive citizens to use it. Convincing citizens to use Metrash2 requires better service quality and information quality. More details are reported at the end of the paper.

Online meeting platforms have been widely utilized during the COVID-19 pandemic due to the current shift from traditional learning. However, the acceptance of the different online meeting platforms for e-learning has been underexplored. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors for acceptance of an online learning platform among students during the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 500 senior high school students voluntarily participated to answer constructs under the Extended Technology Acceptance Model (ETAM) and Delone and McLean IS Success Model. Several latent including user interface (UI), perceived ease of use (PEU), perceived usefulness (PU), information quality (IQ), system quality (SQ), behavioral intentions (BI), and actual use were analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results indicated that PEU was found to have the greatest on actual use (AU), followed by UI and SQ towards PEU, which subsequently led to BI and AU. Finally, IQ was found to have a significant effect on PU, which led to BI and AU. The level of student acceptability considers the ease of use, user interface, system quality, information quality, leading to a positive behavioral intention for actual use. With that, it would be of best interest to consider the factors that would lead students towards accepting the platforms utilized and therefore the current education system. Moreover, this will lead to their acceptance and promote learning even with the COVID-19 pandemic. Finally, the model construct can be applied and utilized to analyze the online learning platforms in other countries.

PurposeE-learning system has been widely acknowledged to have positive impacts on the learning process. Nevertheless, the intention to use it is globally low, thereby constituting puzzles to be solved. This study aims to proffer some insights to solve the puzzles.Design/methodology/approachThe data of the study were collected through an online survey among 425 students of four private universities using interactive electronic board systems. Partial least squares structural equation modeling was used to analyze the data.FindingsThe significant results of the study reveal that system quality, information quality and teaching materials significantly influenced perceived usefulness. Technology innovativeness and information quality also significantly influenced perceived ease of use. Perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use equally influenced e-learning intention.Originality/valueThis research is one of the few studies that conceptualize a framework to study intention to use e-learning generally, and interactive electronic board in particular among four private universities using technology innovativeness, system quality, information quality, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and teaching materials.

Researchers and practitioners have long been interested in identifying the criteria that users consider important in assessing whether a system is worth using. However, past research in this domain has not taken into account the characteristics of a system's design and their quality in a systematic and comprehensive manner, which is likely to have limited the development of actionable design guidelines. The article addresses this issue by suggesting a research model that links user beliefs—which have traditionally been used in IT acceptance and success research (i.e., information quality, system quality, usefulness, and ease of use)—to their beliefs regarding the quality of three categories of a system's design (i.e., visual quality, page layout quality, and navigation quality) and testing it in the context of organizational intranets. The analysis of data collected from 159 intranet website users in three organizations supported the model, suggesting that the three categories of design quality beliefs significantly influenced users' assessment of their system's information quality and system quality.

In a small-sized to big-sized company, evaluate the information system success is essential, yet notalways been seamless. Successful implementation of a system can be indicated by measuring its usersatisfaction. This study aims to measure Adempiere ERP Open Source end-user satisfaction atBlessings SME’s. This study employs three variables from The Updated DeLone and McLean Information System Success (2003), namely information system quality, information quality, andservice quality, and two variables from Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as well, namely perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, and also takes top management support as another consideration. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to the respondents directly concerned. Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to propose a hybrid model based on the expectation-confirmation model (ECM), flow theory, and updated DeLone and McLean information system (IS) success model to examine whether quality factors as the antecedents to nurse beliefs affected nurses’ intention to continue using the blended electronic learning (e-learning) system. Design/methodology/approach – Sample data for this study were collected from nurses at five hospitals in Taiwan. A total of 500 questionnaires were distributed, 396 (79.2 percent) questionnaires were returned. Consequently, 378 usable questionnaires were analyzed in this study, with a usable response rate of 75.6 percent. Collected data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Findings – Information quality, system quality, support service quality, and instructor quality contribute significantly to perceived usefulness (PU), confirmation, and flow, which together explain nurses’ satisfaction with the usage of the blended e-learning system, and this in turn leads to their continued system usage intention. Originality/value – First, the application of the ECM with the view of updated DeLone and McLean IS success model reveals deep insights into quality evaluation (including information quality, system quality, and support service quality) in the field of nurses’ e-learning continuance intention. Especially, this study additionally contributes to the identification of instructor quality that may lead to nurses’ continued blended e-learning usage intention. Next, the empirical evidence on capturing both extrinsic motivator (i.e. PU) and intrinsic motivator (i.e. flow) for completely explaining quality antecedents of nurses’ blended e-learning continuance intention is well documented.
