The eLearning industry has grown rapidly in recent years, and as a result in the context of higher education there is significant interest in implementing and managing eLearning through Learning Management Systems (LMS). This study uses the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to test faculty members’ acceptance of a new LMS using structural equation modeling (SEM). In addition, the study extends the model by incorporating two external factors: training programs on the new LMS conducted prior to implementation and organizational support for the new LMS. Each of these two factors is generally believed to have a significant impact on the acceptance of a new LMS on the part of faculty members. The results of this study validate the use of TAM in the context of higher education. Further, our findings affirm the importance of providing training in regard to the LMS before implementation and likewise the importance of providing organizational support.

Snapchat, and Instagram are two social networks which recently gain their users after adopting such a feature called "Story" which allows a certain post to be disappeared after a certain time. This research takes up this technology trends analyzing the factors that probably affect the behavioral intention to use Snapchat and Instagram stories among generation Z. Factors are analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling, with basis model and variables from Technology Acceptance Model. Data collection was targeted to finished within 1 week using online questionnaire with respondent from Jakarta and Tangerang for 100 respondent that are using both Snapchat stories and Instagram Stories. There are two tools researcher usually use to analyze Structural Equation Modeling: SPSS AMOS and LISREL. In this research, researchers choose AMOS. From six hypothesis proposed for Snapchat analysis, four hypothesis is accepted, while the other two are rejected. Meanwhile, on Instagram Stories analysis, five hypothesis is accepted and one hypothesis is rejected. This study finds out the Social Presence is an exogenous variable which has a major role in affecting other variables. While Perceived Enjoyment influenced the behavioral intention to use Snapchat and Instagram Stories the most. Purpose As universities are human capital intensive organizations, practices followed by a university for enhancing the satisfaction of its teachers can be of great help in attracting, retaining and managing highly qualified and competent teachers. The purpose of this paper is to empirically examine the impact of job satisfaction (JS) on organizational commitment (OC) of university teachers in India. Design/methodology/approach A total of 396 academicians are surveyed to assess the subjects’ responses to JS and commitment questionnaire. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used in the process of statistical analysis. Findings The results confirmed a significant impact of JS on OC of university teachers in India. With 1 percent increase in estimates of pay and job security (PJS), organizational support (OS) and job challenge (JC), there would be 21, 36 and 49 percentage increase, respectively, in OC of university teachers. Of all the factors of JS, JC is the most significant contributing factor, followed by OC and PJS that help in motivating and retaining the teachers in higher education institutions in India. Research limitations/implications The sample of the study has been chosen from the higher education sector in Northern India, and so it still needs to be explored whether the findings of this study can be replicated in different geographical areas and organizational settings for further verification and generalization. Practical implications Encouraging greater satisfaction among the faculty members may positively influence work-related behaviors, especially commitment among the teachers. The paper may benefit the decision makers in universities to follow the proactive practices to improve the satisfaction and commitment of teachers as educational performance is of priority on the national agenda. Originality/value The study provides useful insights about a JS-OC relationship model and informs the stakeholders on how to create an enabling environment at the policy and practice level that would help in attracting and retaining teachers in universities in India. It contributes to enriching the JS and OC literature in a sector and a country poorly addressed so far in research.

Purpose. The main objective of this research is to obtain a better understanding of the impact of perceived time value on the intention of pursuing an online Master’s degree for its applicants. For this reason, perceived time value is added to the Technology Acceptance Model. Design/methodology/approach. Data are collected from a purposive sample of 147 individuals, who were interested to continue their higher education. Both, online and personal surveys are used to collect data. Achieved data are analysed by structural equation modelling. Findings. The results show that the perceived time value is significantly related to the ease of use and perceived utility, which in turn, show a significant effect on the attitude towards enrolment. Also the attitude towards enrolment is positively and significantly related to the Behavioural Intention towards studying an online Master (BIS). On the other hand, the perceived utility does not show a significant relationship with BIS. Research limitations/implications. This paper only examines the perceived time value before attending an online Masters. This perception may change after starting such courses. Additionally, there might be more factors influencing their intention toward a particular higher education system that is not mentioned in this article. Practical implications. This research can help the designers of these courses to understand the perception of the value of the time of the applicants before starting an online Master and thus, help them to plan their future marketing strategies more successfully. Originality/value. This article demonstrates the effect of the motivating factors of the applicants for enrolment in an online Master by analyzing the importance of managing and saving time, resulting in more free time.

The implementation of Enterprise Recourse Planning (ERP) systems has grown rapidly, but limited research has been conducted to investigate the utilization of ERP systems. By extending the Technology Acceptance Model, this paper provides a research model for examining the impact of computer self-efficacy and ERP systems design features on the utilization of ERP systems. To test the proposed research model, data are collected through a questionnaire survey distributed among employees in different organizations that have implemented an ERP system in the United Arab Emirates. Structural equation modeling techniques are used in this study to verify the causal relationships between the variables. The results strongly support the extended TAM in understanding employees’ utilization of ERP systems. The implications of this study and further research opportunities are also discussed.

This chapter attempts to study the intentions to use cloud-based CRM applications through a combination between a Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and a Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). To test the different links identified in the research model, a research questionnaire was prepared and sent to marketing managers within Saudi SMEs in Saudi Arabia. A total of 41 useful questionnaires were collected. The authors opted to the structural equation modeling (SEM) using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) to analyze data. The tests are prepared with XLstat software since it integrates both factor analysis and PLS modules. Among the main statistical analyses, the authors conclude that the TPB-TAM is suitable to study cloud CRM. From a managerial perspective, the authors expect that cloud CRM is perceived with good impression and that this new technology should be implemented strongly and gradually in SMEs to improve the quality of services provided to customers and organizations.
