Without effectual supply chain management strategies, the performance of organizations deteriorates. To examine different strategies such as customer orientation, innovating strategy and technological innovation in the financial and non-financial performance of pharmaceutical firms. A path analysis study was conducted in which a questionnaire with regard to strategic management on supply chain and logistics was distributed amongst 10 pharmaceutical companies in Jordan. The results have revealed a positive and significant influence of customer-oriented strategies on the financial performance of companies. In contrast, the results show no significant impact of technological innovation on financial and non-financial performance of the pharmaceutical firms. However, there has been a significant correlation found between innovating strategies and the performance of the organizations. The study has asserted companies to focus and attempt more efforts to enhance their supply chain management strategies to upgrade their performance.

The cooperative is faced with the problem of how to keep the availability of goods in the warehouse sufficient, not experiencing upperstock or understock in the stock inventory system. The Supply Chain Management approach can help overcome the problem of availability of goods by integrating suppliers efficiently. The study aims to produce information about the stock of goods and the number of orders for the next period so that it can make a suitable budget plan. Collecting data is the first step and then designing the pattern of supply chain management flow, supply chain management strategies include the use of pareto ABC classification to give priority to supervision of inventory and determination of purchase points by calculating Economy Order Quantity (EOQ), process flow, implementation and testing. The system produces goods stock information that is able to provide accurate information about the remaining stock of goods in the warehouse along with calculation calculations for the purchase of each item at an economical price and amount, for the determination of product reorder time (Reorder Point), the average product lead time is 2 days, the usage rate per day for rice is 0.34 and the safety stock of rice is 20 sacks so that if the rice has reached the 3 point sack then the cooperative must re-order. The test results using usability test showed that 66.66% of the questions were able to be answered by the respondents and the test results between 65-84% were declared good so that the application was feasible and usable.

In the present era, marketing based on some environmental and social considerations is raised as one of the most important activity of good and service production companies, and green marketing is one of the marketing areas that in environmental issues, many topics have been allocated to it. The purpose of this study is to develop a structural model for investigating the relationship between market orientation and environmental performance and green supply chain management strategies. The research method is a descriptive of type of survey and target population is employees and managers of Khalessazan Rooy Company in Zanjan. A questionnaire was used to collect data and was distributed among 215 employees and managers of the different levels of the company through random stratified sampling. In this research, the modeling of structural equations and partial least squares (PLS) were used to test the hypotheses and fit the model. The results showed that market orientation was effective on the supply chain management strategies. But its impact on environmental performance was rejected. On the other hand, the indirect effect of market orientation has been confirmed through the intermediate variable of supply chain management strategies. Finally, it was revealed that supply chain management approaches have a positive and significant effect on environmental performance.

Contrary to the considerable development of Sustainable Supply Chain Management (SSCM) research, the level of conceptual clarity falls short in unveiling the strategic implications of sustainability integration into core business practices. This leads to dilemmas with respect to aspired and achieved levels of business responsibility increasing exposure to financial and sustainability hazards. Given the various incidents of supplier misconduct and cases where no apparent breaches still impose threats to buying firms, it is undeniably mesmeric experiencing the defiance of “common sense” law: just because risks are classified, and responses are deployed, it would be wrong to assume that vulnerability is eradicated. To overcome impediments, we need to discern between uncertainty and risk. To this end, literature supports that firms address issues based on instrumental and moral rationales encompassing fundamentally different justifications. Building on work from risk management, SSCM, paradox as well as management accounting and control, and inserting ideas from entrepreneurship literature, we investigate these particularities and explain how firms could develop their sustainability initiatives and risk management strategies across their Supply Chains (SCs) through an integrative framework. This refinement allows us to increase the odds of more sustainable SCs through a multilevel approach reverberating the interface of strategy and operations. The paper concludes with commenting on the theoretical and managerial implications as well as proposing avenues for future research.

This chapter evaluates the state-of-the-art of research on Lean Management and Supply Chain Management strategies in the aerospace sector using Systematic Literature Review methodology. The complementary aims are: a) to identify the topic set studied and to propose a criterion for classifying the literature, and b) to discuss the empirical evidence that identifies existing interrelationships. The analysis has enabled three main topics to be identified: a) adoption and implementation of lean management, b) development of supply chain management, and c) deployment of lean principles and practices across the supply chain. A number of more specific lines of research are also proposed that have been assigned to each of these three main research topics. Finally, a set of challenges and opportunities for future research are set out, along with a range of academic and professional implications that could be useful not only for the aerospace sector but also for other industrial sectors that share similar contingent factors.
