Nurse turnover has become a continuous and increasing challenging problem in the healthcare system worldwide; and this became a priority that needs to be adequately managed. As a matter of fact, nurses are care givers and represent the frontline services that hospitals deliver to their patients, so it is an indispensable necessity to retain this workforce through both job satisfaction and job motivation. Providing the nurse workforce an appropriate treatment will surely lead to retention of talent that is critical to the continuity of the healthcare organizations. This research aims to assess the impact of Human Resource Management (HRM) practices mainly in relation to job satisfaction on nurses’ turnover intention, especially that Lebanon is one of the countries where the healthcare system is suffering from nurses’ shortage. This study uses a descriptive correlational study based on a structured questionnaire administered to 100 nurses within North Lebanon Hospitals. The collected data statistical analysis is carried out via the Statistical Product and Service Solutions SPSS-version 25. Results revealed that the absence of efficient HR practices forces nurses toward turnover decision. Thus, the creation of supported and motivated environment will positively affect the nurses’ decision to stay, and thus minimize the turnover rate.

The study aims to do a comparative analysis of organizational culture between the three different organizations in IT sector. It is an exploratory research. A structured questionnaire was used to collect the primary data. The sample size was 165. It consisted of employees from three leading IT organizations in India. Aligning culture and leadership goals are keys to organisational success. All the four dimensions of organisational culture are heavily influenced by leadership based interventions in an organisation. A true leader is a catalyst in driving: Adaptability–by creating change, emphasising customer focus and promoting organisation learning, Mission–by defining strategic direction, defining objectives and goals  and creating a shared vision, Consistency–by managing coordination & integration, defining core values and working to reach agreement, and Involvement–by empowering people, building team orientation and developing organisation capability.

Higher education is facing enormous changes, and these changes have resulted in faculties having to keep up with them and adapt their activities to the current situation and needs of students. Retaining students and their satisfaction is a constant and continuous job and the basis for sustainable development of the faculty or university. The very subject of this paper is the satisfaction of users/students with the quality of delivered teaching through distance learning studies, or how students perceive the quality of this type of service. Therefore, it is posed as a particularly important research problem of this paper-whether and to what extent the efficiency of use of the system of distance learning, affects the current system of education. Theoretical knowledge was used as a basis for creating a questionnaire whose main purpose was to collect data on the preferences of potential students, but also data on the satisfaction of existing students. The survey, which was conducted among the students, want it will have with e check basic dimensions of quality study distance learning. The research was realized in cooperation with the Pan-European University Apeiron. 110 students from the Faculty of Law, Economics, Traffic, Sports, Health and Information participated in the research. Data on gender, age, part-time or full-time study, faculty and year of study were collected. The processing of the results included factor analysis, ANOVA, t-test and chi-square test, using the statistical program for social research SPSS 22. Based on the above, the following hypotheses were set: H 0-Attitudes of students towards the use of this types of learning are more positive the more students study.

Concepts such as freedom cannot be measured and give material measurable results. Freedom is not measured. It leaves its philosophical imprint on independent thought. According to Jean-Jacques Rousseau (Note 1), it recedes only to leave room for political freedom The supposed absolute freedom based on the quantity of material goods and choices actually leads to the commitment of individualism. Because it is difficult to change this relationship between materialism and individualism, we focus on philosophical freedom through self-knowledge that will answer the triple question (1) what is best for me, (2) what is best for you, (3) what is best for community in which we negotiate a win-win-win reasoning for everyone who negotiates with another in the community Thus arises a win-win-win inner freedom with an immeasurable result, which at its limit is identified with the complete independence of the soul and the spirit.

This research aims to assess Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practice applied to the Heart Hospital, Tripoli, Lebanon. A stakeholders (workers, patients, the local community, and the environment) perspective is considered. The population of the research includes all workers in the target hospital, however the research sample consists of 40 employees. This research is quantitative, descriptive and analytic based on a structured questionnaire designed and distributed to the respondents. The study found that the activities related to CSR were adapted and practiced to different levels. Employees’ responses about the dimensions of CSR were varied. Findings show that the hospital does exercise its social responsibilities towards patients (Mean=3.97), it does exercise its social responsibilities towards the environment (Mean=3.96), it moderately exercises its social responsibilities towards the local community (Mean=3.36), and it weakly exercises its social responsibilities towards its workers (Mean=2.75). Therefore, it is recommended that the hospital administrators must review their CSR strategy to reinstate one of the most critical factors for the success of the institution namely the human assets besides giving more attention to its local community needs.

This study purpose is to conceptual framework for sustainability developed in Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs). The study is assessing the roles and contributions made by the SMEs for the sustainability in the economy of Nigeria after the effects of Covid-19 pandemic. Corvid-19 pandemic caused a major trouble on the economic, political, financial, social, religious activities most developed and developing countries. Nigeria economy was affected, and it led to many crises ranging from loss of government revenue, supply of goods and services, accessibility to credit facility by both individual and organization, loss of job, poor standard of living following restriction on human mobility and stay-at-home order by the government. The rate of poverty is at increase as a result of these crises. The overview effects has caused loss of employment opportunity creation, poor standard of living and affected the national GDP contribution to the economy sustainability. Therefore, the study recommends that the conceptual on the SMEs should focus operation of SMEs production and related businesses currently protective to the sustainable economy growth. It also recommends that Government should put in place strong and lasting infrastructure to ease activities of SMEs in Ekiti State.

This study examined strategic outsourcing and corporate performance of commercial banks in Nigeria. The decision to outsource is driven by the perception of management on how organization can achieve corporate effectiveness and efficiency with outsourcing strategy. This study specifically focused on two objectives; to investigate the relationship between strategic outsourcing and corporate performance and to ascertain the correlation between recruitment outsourcing and corporate performance. The study used a total number of twenty two (22) commercial banks listed in the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) as at 31st January 2021 in its study. Primary data were collected from the population of the study with the aid of structured questionnaire and data were analyzed through descriptive statistics and the two hypotheses formulated were tested by Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC) with the use of Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). The results of the study revealed a significant positive relationship between strategic outsourcing and corporate performance and a significant positive relationship between recruitment outsourcing and corporate performance. The study concluded that strategic outsourcing and recruitment outsourcing have positive relationship with corporate performance. The study, therefore, recommends that corporate organizations that want to achieve significant performance in their operations should outsource some of their activities that are outside its core competence.

The purpose of this study is to first identify the predominant factors shaping frontline employee engagement and then to explore the outcomes of the employees’ engagement within the context of the service sector in Lebanon. The main theory used to ground the research is the explanatory power of the Social Exchange Theory (SET). A qualitative ethnographic method was used to explore the salient drivers and outcomes of employees’ engagement. The qualitative approach was implemented by observing and informally interviewing frontline employees, and by gathering documentary data for a greater understanding of this phenomenon. Findings show that supervisor support, organizational support, training, distributive justice and procedural justice appeared to be significant drivers of employee engagement. It was also evident that personal resources and self-efficacy have a significant moderator effect between supervisor support, distributive justice and employee engagement. Moreover, employee organizational commitment, intention to quit and organizational citizenship behaviors revealed to be the direct outcomes of employees’ engagement. This study is among the first undertaken in the Lebanese context. The findings shall help to close the gap in the reported literature about the topic and will serve HR decision makers as new knowledge for future endeavors.

Based on the Transparency International’s rank, China have had serious corruption issue so far (Lawrence & Weber, 2017). Since the reform and opening-up policy has been carried out in 1978, corruption has rapidly worsened in China, although the Chinese economy has been performing well (Wederman, 2004). Some scholars argued that the corruption may distort the allocation of resources, but unlike other countries, China’s economic growth was not affected significantly by corruption because of high level of public trust (Li & Wu, 2007). However, corruption may result in a serious regional income inequality and has significant negative consequences of increasing public resentment and social unrest causing more harm to economy (Wu & Zhu, 2011). As a result, the Chinese government often aggressively punishes the corruption actions by law (Lawrence & Weber, 2017).There are currently few researches to focus on corruption in China because of sensitive nature of corruption and lack of effective methodologies limited to surveys and case studies (Guo, 2008). In this paper, corruption only refers to bribery, a common form and consequence of abuse of public authority for personal gains (Wederman, 2004). By looking at some literatures, this short paper first elaborated on several reasons why corruption in China has been so serious, then come up with a constructive framework coping with corruption.

The Silk Road was one of the greatest commercial routes that connected China with the port regions of the Mediterranean, where considerable sized volumes of merchandise were negotiated. However, it entered a decline as the result of various factors, such as disturbances in Central Asia, as well as the discovery of new maritime commercial routes. Contemporaneously, China, currently the 2nd most powerful economy in the world, reactivated a project of this logistic and commercial route, very much to maintain its commercial competitiveness, idealized by president Xi Jinping. This audacious project, under construction, will involve great Chinese investments for the region, as well as a contribution to other nations, which will change all the geography of international negotiations.
