This paper address the need for developing out-reach activities in a way that can increase primary school pupils interest in science. Building on the hypotheses that the inclusion of more and different actors in developing these outreach activities can strengthen them, this paper presents an initial study investigating the development of a network of actors organizing out-of-school science teaching. This initial study is part of a 3 years action research project, where the network approach has been used to continually design and further development of a pupils’ university on the subject energy and climate for 5 and 6 grade pupils in primary schools within Northern Jutland, Denmark. The methodological framework is routed in action research, and the data collection includes participant observations, cite visits, informal interviews, questionnaires and document analysis. This paper thereby exemplifies and discuss how a cooperation network to support out-of school teaching can be established, developed and brought into action through ongoing learning processes among university, primary school and other institutions. Considering the specific case, the out-reach activities developed by this network approach have shown to be effective in raising awareness and engagement in the pupils university. On that base, it is concluded that the actor-approach holds considerable potentials for developing out-of-school activities; which however calls for further research.

This paper determines the impact of modelling technology integration for of out-of-school (OST) learning on academic achievement in primary schools. The research was conducted in Arusha Region, specifically in Meru District. The paper adopted the experimental design, involving experimental and control groups. Each of the two groups comprised three (3) schools, making a total of six (6) schools. The experiment was conducted using Digital Video Disks (DVDs), mobile phones, notebooks and home assignment booklets. The tools were further supplemented by a list of perceived best practices, and examination papers. The findings reveal a statistically significant difference in mean scores between the control and experimental groups as confirmed by 95% confidence level whereby, F (1, 180) = 28.63, p=0. Based on the findings, null hypothesis was rejected, leading to the conclusion that the proposed model for OST technology integration is attributed to significant improvements in academic achievement for primary school OST learners. The implication of these findings is for researchers, and other educational stakeholders, including the government to invest in devising contextually relevant model, and mobilizing parents, teachers and learners with a view to hastening technology integration in order to improve academic achievements for primary school pupils. There is also a need for studies that further explore technology integration opportunities, and associated challenges in a bid to addressing poor academic performance among primary school pupils.

This study aims to form the characters of Indonesian students through the implementation of Value-clarified Techniques with the help of folklore. The implementation of this lesson is based on the dynamics and problematics of characters that occur today in primary schools and intends to bridge the issues. The research design used is the type of action research with the subject of the study of grade V of Pontianak Elementary School Pontianak amounted to 32 people in the first semester. Data collection methods are observation and interview, while to analyze the data with qualitative descriptive. From the analysis of the results of research and discussion obtained the conclusion that the implementation of Value-assisted Clarification Technique folklore can improve the formation of the character of Indonesian students in primary schools.

This study aims to examine the existence of learning material related to educational issues regarding low-carbon levels. Through the content analysis, 26 primary school science textbooks from ten publishers in Indonesia were reviewed, focusing on the study covering the selection, presentation, provision of supporting materials, and low-carbon issues. The research method used is the qualitative content analysis process method with research steps: 1) Data collection; 2) Data analysis textbook; and 3) Ethical considerations. The results showed that sixty one point six percent of teachers said the book was under the curriculum's coverage. The sixty point six percent of the relevance of content to student experiences was appropriate, so is the fifty three point five percent of the relevance of examples and exercises with learning objectives and the material presented. It is also found that fifty five point six percent of various questions and discussions were adequate for testing students, the other fifty one point five percent had included supporting questions and exercises, and sixty point six percent of teachers said there was a teacher's guide. Then fifty point five percent, according to the teacher, students' awareness of low carbon is still relatively low, and forty six point six percent of the content coverage regarding low carbon is still considered sufficient by the teacher. This study concludes that there was too little coverage of low-carbon issues and a lack of additional material related to the low-carbon content in primary science textbooks. The topic of low carbon is still implicit in the environmental literacy found in textbooks. The follow-up that can be done is providing a low-carbon concept to science textbooks in primary schools so that our students and society will have low-carbon awareness and increased environmental literacy.

This paper looks at the implementation of wireless netbooks within two primary schools in the UK for all children at key stages 4 and 5. It looks at current concepts of ematurity and technological implementation and offers a new model based on three interlocking factors, the educational status of the technology, the capacity for innovation of the organisation, groups and individuals and how far the technology can be aligned with the needs and concerns of individuals and teams and their prevailing pedagogical approaches. This model is examined in the light of an action research project and illustrates how pedagogical reframing is important in any technological intervention. It also examines role, identity and practice changes required by both learners and teachers in order to improve the learning experience within a school.

This study, conducted over a 20 week period, focused on a group of primary school teachers as they implemented a variety of intervention actions, within their class programs, directed towards supporting the reduction of high levels of communication apprehension (CA) among students. Six teachers and nine students, located across three primary schools, six class groups, and four year levels, participated in the study.An action research paradigm incorporating a series of case studies was used to describe each teacher's journey as he/she responded to the diverse needs of individual students with high CA levels. The principal data collection methods used in this study included the Personal Report of Communication Fear (PRCF) scale, semistructured interviews, and dialogue journaling. The PRCF scale was used as a screening tool to identify students experiencing high levels of CA.Semistructured interviews, conducted by the researcher at the beginning and conclusion of the action research process, provided valuable information relevant to each student. Dialogue journaling was the medium by which teachers engaged in written discourse with the researcher, discussing the growth, development, and progress of individual students. Entries in dialogue journals comprised a significant component of each teacher's case study.Six case studies document the teacher's action research journey. These case studies recount the teacher's perceptions of their endeavours to minimise the problems that arise with primary school students experiencing high CA levels. In particular, they highlight the fact that teachers are faced with diverse problems and plan to resolve these in different ways.

Based on the analysis of the background of the times and the existing problems in primary school science education, this paper analyzes the integration application of Virtual Reality education software in primary school science teaching, and analyzes the specific lessons and the advantages of integration.
