ABSTRACT Objective: to assess the perception of health professionals regarding safety culture of a high complexity public hospital of the Federal District, Brazil. Method: cross-sectional and descriptive study. The Safety Attitudes Questionnaire was used in electronic format. Descriptive and inferential analyses were carried out. Results: 358 professionals participated, with 242 (67.6%) being female. Of these, 224 (62.6%) worked directly or indirectly with patients in assistance activities; 79 (22.1%) in administrative activities; 14 (3.9%) in management; and 41 (11.5%) in others. The total score was 57.1. Job satisfaction factors and stress perception had the most expressive results, 76.2 and 68.8, respectively. The category "working conditions" presented the lowest result, 40.7. Conclusion: the results are below the score of 75, value recommended as indicative of a positive safety atmosphere. We suggest the implementation of actions for the promotion of safety culture and new studies with representative samples of all segments of workers.

Objective: To report the experience of a care for a person with clinical picture of accidental tetanus, victim of fireworks. Method: It is a descriptive study, experience report type, referring to the experience of a care performed by nursing students in June 2019, in an emergency unit at a regional public hospital in a city in the inland of state of Bahia, Brazil. Results: Victims of burns by fireworks need nursing actions that promote measures to prevent accidental tetanus. These activities can be a detailed data collection, such as observation of vaccination history and wound bed care. Conclusion: From the experience, it was possible to expand the knowledge of nursing students through reflections on the immediate measures related to care with accidental tetanus.

RESUMOObjetivo: Analisar as principais falhas na gestão do agendamento dos exames periódicos de um hospital público de alta complexidade do Estado de São Paulo. Metodologia: Estudo descritivo, com utilização de levantamento bibliográfico, visitas observacionais no local, análise de dados disponibilizados pelo setor e entrevistas com os atores-chaves envolvidos no sistema de agendamento; afim de descrever o cenário, analisar as principais falhas e propor melhorias. Resultados: Foi possível constatar que o modelo de agendamento de exames periódicos que vem sendo utilizado é composto por um número excessivo de profissionais e de processos envolvidos, sendo a maioria destes realizados manualmente; chegando a um resultado final que não é eficiente, uma vez que, até abril deste ano, 48% dos funcionários da instituição apresentavam seus exames periódicos vencidos, a oferta de serviços não supria a demanda e a média de absenteísmo para aqueles que conseguiram marcar os exames foi de 20%. Conclusão: Uma melhor gestão do agendamento permite uma maior agilidade na realização dos exames e consequentemente um aumento da satisfação dos clientes.Palavras-chave: agendamento de exames; exame médico periódico; saúde do trabalhador; medicina do trabalho. ABSTRACTObjective: Analyze the main failures in the management of the periodic exams scheduling of a high complexity public hospital in the State of São Paulo. Methodology: Descriptive study, using a bibliographical survey, observational site visits, analysis of data made available by the sector and interviews with the key actors involved in the scheduling system; in order to describe the scenario, analyze the main failures and propose improvements. Results: It was confirmed that the model of scheduling of periodic exams, is composed by an excessive number of professionals and processes involved, and the majority of these are manuals; reaching an end result that is not efficient, since up to April of this year, 48% of the institution's employees had their periodic exams expired, the service offer did not meet the demand and the average absenteeism was 20% for those who succeed to schedule their periodic exams. Conclusion: A better management of the periodic exams scheduling improves agility in performing the exams and consequently increase the customer satisfaction.Keywords: exams scheduling; periodic medical examination; occupational medicine; occupational health.

Abstract: Prof. Dr. R.D. Kandou General Hospital in Manado is an A-class public hospital with a capacity of 745 beds. About 80% of hospitalization comes from the Emergency Unit. Until now, complaints are still found in the suggestion box as well as from mass media about the unsatisfied patients. To date, there is no study that can be justified regarding the complaints of those patients. This study aimed to analyze the level of patient satisfaction in order to maintain the quality of services at the Emergency Unit. The study was conducted between September to December 2013 as a cross-sectional prospective study in eligible 98 patients who visited the Emergency Unit Department of Prof. Dr. R.D. Kandou Hospital. By using SERVQUAL dimension associated with the level of patients’ satisfaction, a data collection of visitors at the Emergency Unit was obtained. The results showed that the overall perception of patients or their families on the quality of service at the Emergency Unit was 82.33%. However, one of components in SERVQUAL dimension (quality of service) had the lowest score, i.e. on the dimension of response capacity including prompt or immediate service provided for customers. Patients who came from poor families got the highest score (112.74) on all kinds of SERVQUAL dimension.Keywords: patient satisfaction, quality of service, patient perceptionAbstrak: RSUP Prof. Dr. R.D. Kandou Manado merupakan salah satu rumah sakit milik pemerintah, tergolong kelas A dengan kapasitas 745 tempat tidur. Sebanyak 80% pasien rawat inap berasal dari Unit Gawat Darurat RSUP. Walaupun melayani seluruh strata sosial ekonomi dan juga sebagai rujukan pasien miskin dan terlantar, hingga saat ini masih dijumpai keluhan melalui kotak saran dan media massa yang menyangkut ketidakpuasan pasien tersebut. Belum ada penelitian yang dapat dipertanggungjawabkan menyangkut berbagai keluhan pasien tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat analisis yang menyangkut tingkat kepuasan pasien agar dapat menjadi masukan dalam merumuskan kebijakan upaya menjaga mutu pelayanan di UGD. Penelitian ini dilakukan di RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou pada periode waktu September-Desember 2013 dengan desain potong lintang terhadap 98 pasien UGD yang memenuhi syarat penelitian. Dengan menggunakan dimensi SERVQUAL yang dikaitkan dengan tingkat kepuasan pasien, dilakukan pengumpulan data pengunjung UGD selama periode tertentu. Persepsi pasien terhadap pelayanan akan baik bila tingkat kepuasan pasien tinggi. Persepsi pasien atau keluarganya terhadap mutu pelayanan UGD secara keseluruhan sebesar 82,33%. Pada salah satu unsur dimensi SERVQUAL (mutu pelayanan) dengan nilai paling rendah yaitu dimensi daya tanggap meliputi antara lain pelayanan yang segera atau cepat bagi pelanggan. Pasien dengan status gakin mendapatkan skor yang tinggi (112,74) terhadap semua dimensi SERVQUAL.Kata kunci: kepuasan pasien, mutu pelayanan, persepsi pasien

A unidade de emergência oferece serviços de alta complexidade e diversidade no atendimento à pacientes em situação de risco iminente de vida. As tecnologias avançadas utilizadas neste atendimento nem sempre garantem a qualidade da assistência. Identificar os resultados dos atendimentos de enfermagem na redução de óbitos. Os dados foram coletados, através de analises de artigos acadêmicos através de leituras observou-se à necessidade de discutir sobre a importância do avanço da enfermagem junto aos atendimentos emergenciais como ênfase no embasamento teórico e prático da equipe de enfermagem. O estudo justifica-se diante do desenvolvimento da enfermagem, como fator preponderante na questão da temática enfermagem em emergência como relação ao avanço científico e a qualidade do atendimento para com os pacientes, no contexto acadêmico, junto à diminuição dos altos índices de óbitos na emergência hospitalar.Descritores: Enfermagem, Avanço, Emergência. Advances in nursing in the emergency context: literature reviewAbstract: The emergency unit offers services of high complexity and diversity in the care of patients at imminent risk of life. The aims of this study were: to identify aged persons who were victims of Cerebrovascular Accident and received care at the Emergency Unit of a Public Hospital in Ribeirão Preto-SP, Brazil, and their respective families, as well as to identify the changes in family relations that occurred after the event. In order to identify these changes, the adapted Critical Incident Technique was used, while the analysis was based on the idea of Current of Thought. The sample consisted of 11 families, totaling 34 participants. The analysis of the consequences displayed the changes in family relations, which made up 13 subcategories, 5 of which were positive and 8 negative, totaling 58 alterations, 30 of which were positive and 28 negative. The study revealed the need to work with the family in order to identify changes and develop an action plan to favor the family's relations and adaptation to the demands, with a view to improving the living conditions of its members, including the aged person.
