Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between sexual knowledge, attitude, and satisfaction of sex education in university freshman. Methods: The participants were 275 freshman students under the age of 20 years old. Data were collected in 2017 using a self-report questionnaire. Results: The average scores of participants' sexual knowledge, attitude, and satisfaction of sex education were $24.22{pm}4.94$ out of 38 points, $90.81{pm}15.86$ out of 168 points, and $11.05{pm}3.08$ out of 20 points, respectively. With respect to the demographic characteristics, there were statically significant differences in sexual knowledge according to chances of relationship engagement (F=6.19, p=.002) and residence type (F=3.67, p=.013). Both sexual attitudes and satisfaction of sex education showed significant differences by major (t=3.20, p=.002; t=2.65, p=.009), types of high school (F=3.39, p=.019; F=3.53, p=.015), and interest in previous sex education during teenage years (F=2.88, p=.015; F= 6.22, p<.001). Sexual knowledge showed a statistically significant correlation with attitudes (r=.153, p=.011). Conclusion: There is insufficient sex information available for college students. It is necessary in the future to develop sex education programs that are matched to college students' needs.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to synthesize the literature on the sex education programs for Korean college students and to provide a basis for developing effective sex education programs for this population. Methods: Whittemore and Knafl's integrative review method guided this review of studies conducted from 2000 to 2019. Articles were identified through three electronic databases and scholarly web sites. Fifteen articles met the inclusion criteria. Results: Three studies were descriptive, and 12 described interventions. In most of the reviewed studies, sexual knowledge, sexual attitudes, and sexual autonomy improved after sex education interventions. Before providing sex education, the researchers assessed student's needs for sex education and the various topics provided through sex education programs. Conclusion: When developing sex education programs, we need to a) focus on practical sexual knowledge including contraceptive methods, b) provide repeated and continuous education of a sufficient duration, c) provide comprehensive sex education beyond biological sex, and d) use various teaching methods to allow participants to gain a better understanding. Additionally, sex education should be conducted by experts such as nurses or trained educators to provide systematic and comprehensive education for young adults.

The research problem relates to the examination of the relationof socio-demographic characteristics (gender, level of education and the place where most of childhood was spent) and the self-esteem of the respondents with loneliness.In investigating this problem, the focus was primarily on the perception of the distribution of loneliness, and the examination of the relation of independent variables (socio-demographic characteristics and self-esteem) with the dependent variable (loneliness).The sample of respondents consists of 677 high school students (49.34%) and college students (50.66%) of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The range of years of subjects ranges from 15 to 23 (AS = 18.696).The results of the study show that there is a statistically significant difference in loneliness with regard to gender (U = 38672.000, Z = -6.122, p = .000), to the level of education (U = 42292.500, Z = -5.905, p = .000) and the place in which the respondents spent most of their childhood (χ2 = 9.383, df = 2, sig = .009). The results show that there is a statistically significant relation between self-esteem and loneliness (ro = -.401, sig = .000, N = 676).

Using 51 manifestations of childhood dysfunction as index of adjustment, the relationship was investigated of 9 demographic characteristics of applicants for adoption to the adjustment of children, when aged 7 to 7 1/2 years, whom they had adopted. ‘Good adjustment’ was associated with the father having at least completed high school, having a non-manual occupation and an above median income. There was a trend for it to be also associated with the mother having at least completed high school, being under 30 years of age, and with the couple's non-committal on (i.e., not outright rejection of) the possibility of adopting a hard to place child. The findings were discussed critically and it was concluded that the study demonstrated the feasibility of establishing objective empirical criteria for the selection of adoption applicants.

Purpose: The study was done to investigate the influence of voice behavior, self-esteem and sexual knowledge on sexual assertiveness of nursing college students. Methods: A structured self-report questionnaire was used to measure voice behavior, self-esteem, sexual knowledge and sexual assertiveness. During March, 2019, data were collected from 133 nursing students in D city and G city. Data were analyzed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple linear regression with the SPSS/WIN 25.0 program. Results: Voice behavior and self-esteem were positively correlated with the sexual assertiveness of participants, while voice behavior was positively correlated with the self-esteem of participants. Also, self-esteem was a significant predictor of sexual assertiveness in nursing college students. The predictor explained 12% of their sexual assertiveness. Conclusion: The finding indicates that self-esteem is an important factor for sexual assertiveness of nursing students. It is also expected that self-esteem can further promote their sexual assertiveness.

Abstract Background: The increase in the number of Internet users has increased Internet dependence worldwide. In adolescents, this dependence interferes with sleep, which is important for the development of psychophysiological capabilities. However, few large-scale surveys have descriptively examined the relationship between Internet addiction (IA) and sleep disturbance using standardized questionnaires. We conducted this study to determine the relationship between sleep disturbance in adolescents and IA based on the categories of the Young Diagnostic Questionnaire (YDQ) through a complete survey of one prefecture in Japan.Methods: In 2016, a self-report questionnaire was used to survey high school students (n=10,405, age range: 15–16 years) in all 54 day-boarding high schools in the selected prefecture. We defined “sleep disturbance” by scores greater than 5.5 points on the Japanese version of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index. IA was evaluated using the YDQ: “IA,” when five of the eight YDQ items were present; “at-risk,” when three or four YDQ items were reported; and “non-IA,” when two or less YDQ items were positive. Multiple logistic regression analysis was undertaken with sleep disturbance as the dependent variable, IA as the explanatory variable, and adjustments for eight items.Results: High YDQ scores were associated with high prevalence rates of sleep disturbance in boys and girls. These findings persisted after controlling for other factors in the multiple regression model.Conclusions: Among Japanese adolescents, there was a significant independent relationship between IA and sleep disturbances.
