The management information system used in the organization has now increased when seen from its efficiency and effectiveness. The initial stage of developing management information systems aims to improve the efficiency of activities in the organization.  So that it is considered as part of a comprehensive organizational strategy. An important focus of MIS is on data collection. Because organizations are said to be successful if the quality of data collection is high. Management information systems also aim at decision making in an organization. The overall review of the literature highlights that management information systems play a major role in decision making in an organization. So the expected results of the study explain specifically the role  of management information system in managerial decision making.

Management Information System (MIS) gives information for the managerial activities digital firms. This paper focuses on understanding the vital role of using management information system (MIS) in decision making in digital firms. It talks about considering the concept of MIS, the necessary use of MIS and the impact of the smart usage of MIS in decision making in digital firms. The study discusses MIS importance on decision making depending on a descriptive analytical method, in which the idea is discussed and described in an accurate methodology with analysis, through presenting and discussing previous studies, then relying on the comparative approach to know the role of using MIS in Digital organizations. The study revealed the effect of using MIS in decision making as a smart usage of MIS tool helps achieving a great success and minimizing the investigation of time in addition to increasing the profit of organizations. Also, it shows how decisions are made in digital firms using MIS and the challenges that the organizations facing in this process and a few recommendations to curb these challenges.

The distinctive quality of the new social structure is that information becomes the only factor of production. In today's organizations, public administrators are directly responsible for applying information to administrative processes. In addition to his managerial responsibilities, a knowledge based organization requires every employee to take responsibility for achieving efficiency. This has increased the importance of information systems in the decision-making process. Information systems consist of computer and communication technology, data base management and model management and include activity processing system, management information system, decision support systems, senior management information system, expert systems and office automation systems. Information systems in the health sector aim at the management and provision of preventive and curative health services. The use of information systems in healthcare has the benefits of increasing service quality, shortening treatment processes, maximizing efficiency of the time, labour and medical devices. The use of information systems for clinical decision making and reducing medical errors in the healthcare industry dates back to the 1960s. Clinical information systems involve processing, storing and re-accessing information that supports patient care in a hospital. Clinical information systems are systems that are directly or indirectly related to patient care. These systems include electronic health/patient records, clinical decision support systems, nurse information systems, patient tracking systems, tele-medicine, case mix and smart card applications. Diagnosis-treatment systems are information-based systems used in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. It consists of laboratory information systems, picture archiving and communication system, pharmacy information system, radiology information system, nuclear medicine information system. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of health information system applications in Turkey. The first part of the study focuses on the concept of information systems and the types of information systems in organization structures. In the second part, clinical information systems and applications for diagnosis-treatment systems in Turkey are examined. Finally, the study evaluates applications in the health sector qualitatively from the new organizational structure, which is formed by information systems.

The chapter discusses the problem of energy management in Smart MicroGrid. The strategies of Smart MicroGrid energy management and objectives of Smart MicroGrid operation have been analyzed. The chapter emphasizes the potential of information technologies implementation to achieve energy management goals and provide a description of energy management information system which is used for MicroGrid planning and operation. The information flows which are used for making decision on Smart MicroGrid energy management have been analyzed.
