Abstract

The aim of this study is to present proposals relating to the conservation-development and regeneration strategies for Denizli–Kaleiçi as a historical environment which is functioned traditional trading and handicraft center. Within this context, it is proposed priority planning sites and themes in Denizli–Kaleiçi by examining the changes in spatial characteristics and functional identity in the historical process. These proposals are defined on a methodological framework called as morphological analysis depending on the cataloging of analytic maps by getting data from historical written and visual sources with a detailed survey. As result, it is considered that this study contributes to planning–designing and implementation studies focused on sustainable conservation–development pursuits according to the different academic and scientific point view and also methodological frame in the context of priority planning sites and themes depending on strategic spatial planning approach.

Öz

Bu araştırma, Denizli kentinin mekânsal ve işlevsel açıdan ilk kuruluş yeri olarak geleneksel ticaret–zanaat alanı işlevindeki Kaleiçi tarihsel kentsel alanını konu edinmektedir. Araştırmanın amacı: Denizli–Kaleiçi tarihsel kentsel alanının tarihsel gelişim sürecinde mekânsal karakteristik ve işlevsel kimlik değişiminin irdelenerek, geleceğe yönelik koruma, geliştirme ve yenileme stratejileri için öncelikli müdahale konu ve alanlarına yönelik öneriler geliştirilmesidir. Bu öneriler; Denizli–Kaleiçi tarihsel kentsel alanını, yazılı ve görsel kaynaklar ile yerinde tespit–gözlem–fotoğraflama çalışmaları eşliğinde edinilen bilgi birikiminin, analitik haritalara aktarılması yoluyla morfolojik açıdan analiz edilmesine dayanan yöntem kurgusu eşliğinde ele alınmıştır. Araştırmanın, Denizli–Kaleiçi tarihsel kentsel alanındaki kültürel miras değerlerinden oluşan sosyo–mekânsal ve ekonomik altyapının gelecek kuşaklara aktarılarak, sürdürülebilir kılınmasına yönelik planlama–tasarım ve uygulama düzeyindeki koruma–geliştirme çabalarına “öncelikle müdahale konu ve alanların tespiti” bağlamında akademik–bilimsel araştırma altyapısı ve yöntem olarak farklı bir bakış açısı sunacağı düşünülmektedir.

Spatial plans for special purpose areas for natural resources are one of the main instruments for their protection and development, and significant results have been achieved in spatial planning practice in Serbia in recent years. The main purpose of this research is to consider a methodological framework for drawing up integrated plans enabling protection and development in areas of natural resources. The results of a comparative analysis are presented through a case study of four spatial plans: for the Kopaonik and Djerdap national parks and for the Stara Planina Mountain and Radan Mountain nature parks. The representation of the elements and models of implementation in the plans was considered. The main conclusion of this paper is that the integrated planning for the protection and development of natural resource areas in spatial plans is satisfactory, primarily in terms of the relativization of conflicts, though monitoring the implementation of the plans can be further improved.

Despite being in existence for over seven decades, spatial planning policies in Iran have not been implemented and no serious volition to adopt their general approaches was observed. This study identifies the effective factors of the spatial planning implementation approach in the macroregion around south Alborz. By adopting the Delphi technique, a cross-impact matrix and data analysis using MICMAC software, the impact of these factors on the non-implementation of spatial planning in Iran was investigated. The results show that the existence of a central planning system, the dominance of economic and sectoral planning, the lack of integrated land-planning system are among the effective factors in the spatial planning approach in Iran. Therefore, suitable solutions to eliminate the drawbacks are proposed.

Abstract Literary criticism has mentioned some affinities between Guy de Maupassant’s literary work and Freud’s psychoanalysis, without ever reflecting on Maupassant’s literary anticipation of the Oedipus complex. The latter is particularly evident in the short novel Hautot père et fils (1889), which has not received much attention to date. The article aims to illustrate some evident parallels between Maupassant’s literary representation of a father-son conflict and Freud’s scientific approach. In doing so, it does not intend to deliver a demonstration of the emergence of Freudian concepts from naturalistic fiction. It shall rather be considered as a literary case study, which illustrates the discourse-historical process of transformation from the physiological paradigm of naturalism to the psychological paradigm of the arising psychoanalysis.

Batik, which is rich in symbols and philosophies for the Indonesian people, has now been recognized by UNESCO as a Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The beginning of the emergence of batik in Indonesia is in the city of Solo, and comes from the Pajang kingdom 400 years ago. With the passage of time, batik continues to grow and produces various variations and innovations, from raw materials to the drawn motifs. However, it is very unfortunate that not all of the previous heritage batik can be maintained. Recently, there has been a batik museum created by individuals or institutions, but in the design, some interior elements are less than optimal in their arrangement. So they don't affect the batik stored or on display. In this research, focus of the discussion is on standardization which discusses spatial planning, facilities, collections, lighting, ventilation, acoustics and museum security, which are combined with local wisdom of Surakarta architecture, so that the data becomes a batik museum with character and can preserve the stored batik. This research uses a case study of the Surakarta batik museum, and the final results of this study can be used as a guide for designing a museum with fabric materials in it.
