In team sports, load management has become one of the most common areas of investigation, given that effective control over load is the key to being able to optimize performance and avoid injuries. Despite the constant evolution and innovation in the latest theories, we can see a clear tendency in load management that focuses on physiological and mechanical aspects and neglects its cognitive character, which generates the variability inherent in the performance of athletes in a changing environment. Indicators of response that inform methods of control over cognitive load can include cognitive, physiological and behavioral indicators. However, limited investigations exist to support the reliability of each indicator regarding cognitive load. For this reason, the objective of this literature review is to present strategies used to manage cognitive load in team sports, as well as the indicators utilized for such a proposition and their relationships in specific contexts.

Considering the ubiquitous presence of mobile devices around the globe, designing mobile interfaces into learning systems has quickly become a norm to better disseminate information to the intended audience. Existing design frameworks, however, have not fully addressed the unique features of mobile learning environments grounded in proven pedagogical frameworks. As these mobile environments enable learners to shift their cognitive engagement between virtual and physical settings, this transition from one setting to another presented new challenges to cognitive learning processes due to excessive distractions learners may encounter. With these new challenges in mind, this chapter first reviews design and learning theories grounded in cognitive load management and social learning. Then the chapter proposes a preliminary mobile learning design framework to augment existing design thinking and practice.

Goal. The purpose of the research was to determine the biological characteristics of species of the genus Erigeron, their distribution, harmfulness and methods of control. Мethods. The studies were conducted during 2006—2018 on the territory of the steppe zones of Ukraine in segetal and ruderal vegetation. The determination of the frequency of occurrence and spread of weeds was carried out in agrophytocenoses and uncultivated lands according to generally accepted methods. Evaluation of the harmfulness of weeds was carried out in the Left bank province of the Steppe zone of Ukraine. The soils are chernozemic soils ordinary meddle loamy. Latin plant names are listed on the Catalogue of Life international database. Results. All species of the genus Erigeron in the steppe zones of Ukraine differ in biological and ecological indicators, habitats, weediness and reaction to various methods of control. Erigeron annuus (L.) Pers. (Phalacroloma annuum (L.) Dumort., Stenactis annua (L.) Cass.) — wintering, less often spring weed. It occurs scattered or in groups, often forms thickets. It grows in meadows, gardens, parks, fallow, littered places, along the canals. It is identified in the fields of maize, sunflower, sorghum, melon crops and vegetable gardens. Erigeron strigosus Muhl. ex Willd. (Phalacroloma strigosum (Muhl. ex Willd.) Tzvel., Stenactis strigosa (Muhl. ex Willd.) DC.) — spring, wintering or biennial weed. It occurs as single individuals in meadows, littered places, edges of fields, near perennial grasses under irrigation. Erigeron strigosus var. septentrionalis (Fern. & Wieg.) Fern. (Phalacroloma septentrionale (Fern. & Wieg.) Tzvel., Stenactis septentrionalis (Fern. & Wieg.) Holub) — yearling, biennial or weed. It is found scattered or in groups on meadows, fallows, littered places, in populated areas, flower beds. It is identified in the fields of corn, sunflower, sorghum, fodder crops and vegetable gardens. Small tillage promotes Erigeron`s dissemination and resettlement, the abandonment of complete fallow, and the reduction of chemical protection. The grain yield with an average weediness of crops decreased by 23—28%, vegetable crops — by 16—19%, fodder crops — by 11—18%. An effective method of controlling weeds of the genus Erigeron is intensive autumn tillage. The use of herbicides in the autumn is impractical. In the spring, pre-sowing harrowing, cultivation and herbicides are used. Conclusions. Early detection of weeds of the genus Erigeron at the initial stages of invasion, effective control through intensive tillage in the autumn, the use of harrowing, cultivations and herbicides in the spring, fully prevents their distribution and resettlement in the steppe zones of Ukraine.

As cognitive tasks have displaced physical tasks in today's manufacturing industry, this sector can demand high levels of mental workload from workers. In certain situations, there is a high cognitive load, which affects operators reducing their attention to the task and causing them mental fatigue and distractions, resulting in errors that generate economic costs or even injuries to workers. This literature review aims to provide a comprehensive understanding the use of mental workload in the manufacturing sector. The methodology consisted of conducting a search in four databases. In the search, a combination of keywords was used, classifying each journal according to the mental workload evaluation means, the type of evaluation, and the area of application. Articles not focusing on the manufacturing area were discarded. Of the total of 3839 articles found, 12 have been selected. Regarding the methods used for mental load assessment, the analytic techniques were found to be the most frequently used.

Purpose: The researchers discuss the debate of ideas (DoI) and student understanding conducted on questioning and student answers or discussions in game-based approaches and on DoI as used in the tactical-decision learning model. Literature Review: Literature regarding types of questions and expected student answers and questioning for learning in game-based approaches is reviewed. In addition, a brief overview of the context in which DoI was originally developed is presented. Findings and Discussion: Studies that used DoI are discussed with regard to the management of game play and observation, DoI content and the dynamics of student discussions, and impact on game play statistics and on students’ tactical knowledge. Challenges for teachers and students are discussed, as a student-centered approach encourages changes in traditional teacher and student roles. Finally, the importance of understanding the internal logic of team sports for solving tactical problems and learning is discussed.
