An experiment was carried out at student farm, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, Telangana, in sandy loam soils during rabi 2020 to study the effect of hormones on growth and yield of mustard under Southern Telangana Agro-climatic conditions. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with ten treatments. The treatments comprised were: T1-Control (RDF 60:40:40 N, P2O5, K2O kg ha-1), T2 (RDF + foliar spray of GA3 @ 45 ppm at flowering), T3 (RDF + foliar spray of GA3 @ 45 ppm at pod development), T4 (RDF + foliar spray of GA3 @ 45 ppm at flowering and pod development), T5 (RDF + foliar spray of humic acid @ 1.5% at flowering), T6 (RDF + foliar spray of humic acid @ 1.5% at pod development), T7 (RDF + foliar spray of humic acid @ 1.5% at flowering and pod development), T8 (RDF + foliar spray of GA3 @ 45 ppm fb humic acid @ 1.5% with 2 days interval at flowering), T9 (RDF + foliar spray of GA3 @ 45 ppm fb humic acid @ 1.5% with 2 days interval at pod development) and T10 (RDF + foliar spray of GA3 @ 45 ppm fb humic acid @ 1.5% with 2 days interval at flowering and pod development). Results indicated that, application of RDF + foliar spray of GA3 @ 45 ppm fb humic acid @ 1.5% with 2 days interval at flowering and pod development (T10) and application only at flowering (T8) gave the similar and higher yields and economic returns. As the cost of cultivation of T10 was higher than T8, BC ratio was higher for T8.

A field experiment was conducted during kharif season of 2015 on silty clay loam soil at MPKV, Rahuri (MS), to study the varying nutrient management levels on productivity and economics of different soybean varieties. The experiment was laid out in factorial randomized block design with 15 combinations of three varieties (KDS-344, JS-9305 and KS-103) and five nutrient management levels ( GRDF, 75% GRDF + 0.5% foliar spray of grade IInd at 30 and 45 DAS, 100% GRDF + 0.5% foliar spray of grade IInd at 30 and 45 DAS, N4: 125% GRDF + 0.5% foliar spray of grade IInd at 30 and 45 DAS and 50:75:30 N, P2O5, K2O kg ha-1 + 5 tons FYM ha-1. The variety KDS-344 and application of nutrient management dose 125% GRDF + 0.5 Grade IInd foliar spray at 30 and 45 DAS recorded significantly the highest growth and yield attributes viz., plant height (cm), number of branches, number root of nodules, number of pod plant-1 and weight of seeds plant-1 (g). The variety KDS-344 recorded highest grain and stover (3.66 and 4.64 t /ha) yield and highest economic indices like cost of cultivation (40,623), net monetary returns (87355) and net returns per rupee invested (3.17). The grain yield (4.34 t/ha) and stover yield (4.53 t/ha) of soybean was significantly higher by application of fertilizer dose of 125% GRDF + 0.5% Grade IInd foliar spray at 30 and 45 DAS than rest of treatments, but it was also at par with 75% GRDF + 0.5 Grade IInd foliar spray at 30 and 45 DAS and 100% GRDF + 0.5% Grade IInd foliar spray at 30 and 45 DAS. Similarly, variety KDS-344 and application of nutrient levels of 75 % GRDF + 0.5 % Grade IInd foliar spray at 30 and 45 DAS recorded the highest net returns (82756) and net returns per rupee invested (3.24) in soybean due to reduce in cost of cultivation (36931) and nutrient losses.

Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh bahan organik (kompos gamal, dan asam humat) serta FMA (Glomus sp. + Gigaspora sp.+ Aclauspora sp) terhadap pertumbuhan serta hasil tanaman cabai pada tanah pasca galian C telah dilaksanakan di Gapoktan Simpay Tampomas, Sumedang sejak bulan Februari sampai dengan Juli 2014. Metode yang digunakan merupakan metode eksperimental berupa Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK),  dengan 8 perlakuan dan 4 kali ulang: a0 = kontrol, a1 = kompos gamal 5 t ha-1, a2 = kompos gamal 10 t ha-1, a3 = aplikasi FMA, a4 = asam humat, a5 = kompos gamal 5 t ha-1 + FMA , a6 =  kompos gamal 10 t ha-1 + FMA, dan a7 = aplikasi asam humat + FMA. Pengujian lanjut dilakukan dengan Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi kompos gamal, asam humat, dan FMA tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap diameter batang dan bobot segar buah, tetapi berbeda nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman. Pengaplikasian bahan organik hingga 10 t ha-1, asam humat, dan FMA belum berpengaruh nyata terhadap perbaikan kesuburan tanah pasca galian C (tambang pasir), karena kondisi tanah pasca galian C yang didominasi 75% pasir dan 50% batuan. The study which aimed to determine the effect of organic matter (gliricidia compost, and humic acid) also AMF (Glomus sp. + Gigaspora sp. + Aclauspora sp.) on growth and yield of chili plants on post-excavation soil C had been held in Gapoktan Simpay Tampomas, Sumedang from February to July 2014. The method was an experimental method a randomized block design (RBD), with 8 treatments and repeated 4 times: a0 = control, a1 = gliricidia compost 5 t ha-1, a2 = gliricidia compost 10 t ha-1, a3 = AMF, a4 = humic acid, a5 = gliricidia compost 5 tons ha-1 + AMF, a6 = gliricidia compost 10 tons ha-1 + AMF, and a7 = humic acid + AMF. Further testing was done by Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that the application of gliricidia compost, humic acid, and AMF did not significantly affect stem diameter, and fresh weight of fruit, but significant on stem height. Application of organic matter up to 10 tons ha-1, humic acid, and AMF had not significantly affect fertility improvement of post-excavation soil C (sand mining), because the soil C dominated by 75% sand and 50% rock.

This study was carried out in order to determine the efficiency of paraquat and glyphosate herbicides mixed with four coadjutants for post-emergent weed control, as compared to mechanical control, as well as their economic feasibility. The study took place in Sierra de Arteaga, Coahuila, México. Information was collected 3, 13, 17, 31, and 83 days after application. A randomized block design with four repetitions was used. Glyphosato combined with adherent controlled 80% of weeds 83 days after application; glyphosate combined with moisturizer, and glyphosate combined with humic acid yielded 78.6 and 77.1% control respectively. Parquat mixed with humic acid controlled 88.4% 31 days after application and parquat mixed with adherent showed 75.1% control after 31 days. Overall, glyphosato combined with coadjutants showed better weed control 83 days after application. The cost of such treatment was $346.3 (Mexican currency), while the cost for the mechanical method was $810.00 (Mexican currency). The chemical method proved to be the most cost-efficient.

Field experiments were conducted at experimental farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Annamalai University, Chidambaram during July to September (2008) and January to March (2009) in two seasons to study the effect of foliar spray of Panchagavya on the growth and yield of Baby corn cv. COBC 1. The experiments were laid out in Randomized Block Design with fourteen treatments and replicated thrice. The treatments included foliar spray and inorganic nutrient application at various stages of baby corn. The results revealed that application of 100% recommended dose of fertilizers (RDF) [N150: P60 (P2O5): K40 (K2O)] and 4 sprays (15, 25, 35 and 45 DAS) of 3 % Panchagavya recorded the highest growth attributes and yield of fresh Baby corn and this was followed by application of recommended dose of fertilizers (100 %) along with 3 sprays (15, 25 and 35 DAS) of 3 % panchagavya during both the seasons. The least growth and yield parameter were recorded in 3 sprays of 4 % Panchagavya without use of inorganic fertilizers. The increase in growth and yield of baby corn was mainly attributed by greater availability of nutrients through soil application (100 % RDF) and foliar spray of panchagavya at various stages of crop growth.

The present investigation entitled “Evaluation trail on bottle gourd (Lagenaria siceraria) under Prayagraj Agro-climatic conditions was conducted at Horticulture Research farm at Department of Horticulture, SHUATS, Naini, Prayagraj from July to Oct 2019. The experimental soil was sandy loam in texture with a pH of 7.0 to 8.0, 0.480 organic carbon, and 280, 12.3, and 150 kg/ha-1 of available N, P, and K, respectively. The main objective of the experiment is to find out the most suitable variety of bottle gourd for better growth under Prayagraj, Agro-climatic conditions. Twenty six bottle gourd varieties were evaluated for different quantitative characters using Randomized Block Design (RBD) with the aim to identify the most suitable variety. Among twenty six varieties, the variety 2016/BOGVAR-1exhibited days to first harvest (49.55DAT).

 AbstrakHasil tanaman brokoli dari tunas samping diharapkan dapat meningkat dengan adanya pemberian GA3, yang mampu mempengaruhi translokasi nutrisi yang lebih cepat dan lebih baik menuju tunas samping. Percobaan ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh interaksi antara pengaruh konsentrasi dan metode aplikasi hormon GA3 terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman brokoli kultivar Lucky. Percobaan ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari sampai dengan Mei 2016 di lahan CV. Agro Duta Farm, Kecamatan Cisarua – Kabupaten Bandung Barat, dengan ketinggian tempat 1.100 meter diatas permukaan laut. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola faktorial dengan dua faktor perlakuan, masing-masing terdiri dari 3 taraf yang diulang tiga kali. Faktor pertama adalah konsentrasi GA3 25 mg/L, 50 mg/L, dan 100 mg/L. Faktor kedua adalah metode aplikasi GA3 yang terdiri dari taraf perendaman bibit selama 24 jam, penyemprotan daun 15 dan 25 HST, serta perendaman bibit 24 jam dan penyemprotan daun 15 HST. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara konsentrasi dan metode aplikasi hormon GA3 terhadap komponen pertumbuhan dan hasil brokoli. Konsentrasi GA3 100 mg/L dapat meningkatkan persentase bobot dan jumlah brokoli kualitas B, serta menurunkan persentase bobot dan jumlah kualitas C brokoli dari tunas samping. A field experiment was carried out at Kapgari village of Jhargram district of West Bengal, to study the effects of NPK, humic acid and zinc sulphate on the growth and yield of African marigold (Tagetes erecta L.), during the year 2018 and 2019. The experiment included three treatments with ten replications were designed in Randomized Block Design. First treatment (T1) was with the recommended doses of NPK (120: 120: 100 kg/ha). Second treatment (T2) was to apply  fertigation of 75% of the recommended doses in three splits whereas the third treatment (T3) was to apply fertigation of 75% of the recommended doses in five splits along with foliar application (30 and 45 days after planting) of humic acid (0.2%) and Zinc Sulphate (0.2%). Results revealed that the plants treated with T3 found to have maximum plant height (67.6 cm), plant spread (45.2 cm2) and number of branches per plant (27.2) as well as the number of flowers plant-1 (21.7), flower diameter (5.4 cm), individual flower weight (6.6 g) and yield of flower (230.6 q/ha) were also found highest by applying the same.

Information on the most suitable and high-yielding cayenne pepper variety for an off-season growing in dryland is important. This research aimed to examine the effect of foliar fertilizer on growth and yield of off-season cayenne pepper in dry land. The experiment was conducted during the rainy season of 2020/2021 in a dryland with a sandy loam soil texture in the area of Gumantar, North Lombok, Indonesia. Four cayenne pepper varieties, namely Dewata 43 F1, Pelita F1, Taruna, and Sret, were treated with three concentration levels (0%, 0,5%, and 1,0%) of organic foliar fertilizer. The treatments were arranged in a factorial randomized block design with three replications. The results revealed that application of foliar fertilizer increased number of flowers and yield, and reduced flower abortion. Pelita F1 yielded the highest, 11.5% higher than Dewata 43 F1 and three-fold higher than that of the non-hybrid varieties when treated with 1.0% of fertilizer. Dewata F1 was harvested at 70 days after transplanting (dat), followed by 76, 105 and 105 dat for Pelita F1, Sret and Taruna, respectively. To maximize the use of the rainfall and prolong the harvest time, Pelita F1 and Taruna varieties are highly recommended for dryland areas.

It is proposed in this study the evaluation of the growth and yield of ‘All Big’ sweet pepper under foliar application of proline and irrigation with saline water. The research was conducted in pots adapted as drainage lisimeters under greenhouse conditions, using an Eutrophic Entisol with sandy-loam texture in the municipality of Campina Grande, PB, Brazil. A randomized block design was used testing two levels of electrical conductivity of irrigation water - ECw (0.6 and 3.0 dS m-1) associated to four proline levels (0, 10, 20 and 30 mmol L-1). Irrigation with water with ECw= 3.0 dS m-1 negatively affected the ‘All Big’pepper growth and the stem dry mass, being the most sensitive variable; the highest values for fresh mass, number and average weight of pepper fruits were obtained when water with ECw=0.6 dS m-1 was used, with proline doses of 12.17 and 0 mmol L-1, respectively; increasing proline doses did not mitigate the deleterious effects caused by irrigation water salinity of 3.0 dS m-1 on growth and yield of ‘All Big ‘ sweet pepper.

Lucky in LembangBroccoli’s yield from side shoots was expected to increase with GA3 application, due to the translocation of nutrients faster and better towards the side shoots. The experiment was carried out to study the interaction between concentration and application method of GA3 on growth and yield of broccoli. The experiment was conducted from February up to Mei 2016 at CV. Agro Duta Farm, located in Cisarua – West Bandung, at an elevation of 1,100 m above the sea level. The experimental design used was Factorial Randomized Block Design (FRBD) with three replications, consisted of two factors and three levels. The first factor was concentration of GA3, comprised of 25 mg/l, 50 mg/l, and 100 mg/l. The second factor was application method of GA3, comprised of three levels: seedling soaking for 24 hours, foliar spray at 15 and 25 DAT, seedling soaking for 24 hours and foliar spray at 15 DAT. The results showed that there was no interaction between concentration and application method of GA3 on growth and yield component. GA3 of 100 mg/l significantly increased the percentage of weight and number of B’s quality, and decreased the percentage of weight and umber of C’s quality of broccoli from side shoots.
