Aims: This study aims to investigate the effect of consumer awareness influenced by knowledge, religiosity, and subjective norm on behavioral intention to buy halal food products in Indonesia. Methodology: Structural equation modeling methods were used in hypothesis testing. Results: The eight tests show no causal relationship between Knowledge and Behavioral Intention. This means that Knowledge does not significantly influence Behavioral Intention to buy halal products. Furthermore, Knowledge, Religiosity, and Subjective Norm have a significant simultaneous influence on Attitude. Similarly, Knowledge, Religiosity, Subjective Norm, and Attitude have a significant concurrent influence on Behavioral Intention.  Conclusion: In scientific development, theoretical contributions in halal food are carried out by adding variables, including halalness value creation quality to develop a sustainable halal ecosystem. However, further research should be conducted, especially in the value creation process using another grand supporting theory. Novelty: This study uses quantitative analysis by providing a new conceptual model and the relationship between variables based on consumer culture theory as a novelty.

Governments have designated national parks to protect the natural environment against ecosystem destruction and improve individuals’ emotional and recreational life. National parks enhance environment-friendly awareness by conducting ecotourism activities and individuals with environment-friendly awareness are inclined to continue to visit national parks as ecotourism destinations. The New Environmental Paradigm (NEP) is a widely used measure of environmental concern, suitable for measuring the environment-friendly attitude and revisit intention of visitors of national parks. Therefore, the study carried out structural equation modeling (SEM) to investigate the relationship between the NEP, national park conservation consciousness and environment-friendly behavioral intention. Based on the results, an implication is presented to induce national parks to cultivate individual environment-friendly awareness and for visitors to pursue sustainable, environment-friendly tourism behavior. The findings indicate that national parks are to expand educational programs and facilities for eco-tourists visiting national parks to maintain a balanced relationship between themselves and nature and have a strong environmental awareness to preserve the natural environment.

This study investigated the relationship among tourists’ perceived sustainability, aesthetic experience, and behavioral intention toward reused heritage buildings by employing stimulus–organism–response theory. There were 354 valid questionnaires collected from the Sputnik Lab in Tainan, Taiwan. A positive correlation was found between tourists’ perception of sustainability and aesthetic experience. When tourists perceived higher aesthetic experience, they also had stronger behavioral intention. Structural equation modeling analysis verified that the aesthetic experience of tourists had mediating effects between perceived sustainability and behavioral intention in the reused heritage space. The reuse of space should be attached significantly to the aesthetic display of space and service so as to promote such scenic spots and increase tourists’ intention to revisit through word of mouth.

This study examines the influence of the relationship between resources dimensions and the value creation of logistics service providers (LSPs), in the economic crisis caused by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). It also explores the mediating role of innovation solutions in halal logistics in the relationship between resources dimensions and value creation. Halal logistics play an important role in Muslim countries, and there has been a growing demand for halal products from non-Muslims. Despite its importance, there is limited knowledge of halal logistics problems in Thailand among the LSPs. To understand these issues, the study uses a questionnaire to collect data from 200 Thai LSPs selected through purposive sampling based on their logistics experience in halal, agricultural, or food products. We test the hypotheses using structural equation modeling. The results show a direct relationship between resources dimensions and the value creation of LSPs. The resource dimension is indirectly related to value creation through innovation solutions that mean it acts as a partial mediator in the relationship between resources dimensions and value creation. This study has important implications for LSPs in Thailand in that it demonstrates that they can promote innovation through resources utilization and thereby enhance financial and business performance.

As a crucial part of cultural tourism, museums can represent the cultural image of a destination. From the perspective of emotion, this study adopted structural equation modeling to examine the correlation between emotion, museum image, and behavioral intention of tourists. Additionally, the mediating effects of cognitive motivation (overall stratification) and emotional motivation (positive and negative emotion) on the paradigm of "museum image–behavioral intention" were compared and analyzed. This research was undertaken at three museums in Xi’an, China, with 893 valid questionnaires collected. The results showed that the image of the museum has a significant impact on tourists' emotions and a significant positive impact on overall satisfaction and behavioral intention. Moreover, tourists' emotions significantly influence the overall satisfaction and behavioral intention; they play different mediating effects between museum image and behavioral intention. Finally, managerial and theoretical implications were discussed.

Higher education institutions provide educational service that involves high intensity of interaction between lecturers and students. The relationship of a lecturer with the university determines the quality of the education that will be given to students. Exchanges that occur between lecturers and the higher education organizations, such as internal marketing activities, cannot be considered merely as a simple transactional economic process since educational role contains social elements in it. Relationship among university lecturers certainly plays an important role in determining lecturers' behavioral intention in conducting their academic tasks. This study is aimed to analyze the mediating role on the relationship quality of lecturers-college  in marketing process where the effect of internal marketing offerings on Academic Behavioral Intention. With an online survey of 256 private university lecturers, this research seeks to analyze the magnitude of influence of the quality of Lecturer Connectivity on Academic Behavior Intention of lecturers. Data analysis was performed by utilizing Structural Equation Modeling with Lisrel software. Results have shown that the effect of the internal marketing mix towards Academic Behavioral Intention seemed to be greater through relationship quality  in comparison to its direct influence.

A confirmatory test of Ajzen and Fishbein’s (1980) theory of reasoned action using structural equation modeling was carried out to study the impact of zakah compliance intention toward employment income. This study had two objectives: 1) to examine the reliability and validity of all variables in the theory of reasoned action using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and 2) to determine the relationship between each variable of attitude and subjective norm (obtained from CFA) with zakah compliance intention on employment income. Based on 264 respondents, we used CFA structural equation modeling as the measurement model in measuring attitude, subjective norm, and intention. This study used decomposition of variable in the theory of reasoned action to analyse zakah compliance intention of zakah on employment income. The results of the study indicated that the goodness of fit model comprising attitude, subjective norm, and intention is better when CFA was used. Three components of attitude and two components of subjective norm constructs were found to achieve unidimensionality, and convergent validity and discriminant validity. Thus, this study supported the argument that attitude and subjective norm in the model of zakah on employment income compose of several components and provide good reliability and validity if each component is tested with CFA. Additionally, this study also supported the relationship between attitude and subjective norm with zakah compliance behavioural intention. Recommendations for practice and limitations of the study are also discussed.

Purpose This study aims to examine the brand tourism effect observed in luxury hotels. The study assumed that when loyal customers of luxury hotels perceive two different types of non-loyal customers, loyal customers’ perceptions might influence their behavioral intention. In addition, two emotions (i.e. anger and pride) might mediate the relationship between perceptions and behavioral intention. Design/methodology/approach This study used a scenario-based experimental design. Data from 1,013 responses were analyzed using partial least squares-structural equation modeling. Findings The study reveals that when loyal customers view brand tourists, infringement has a positive influence on switching intention, and likability positively effects brand loyalty. This study indicated that loyal customers perceive brand immigrants negatively, whereas brand tourists are comparably positively perceived by loyal customers. Only pride mediates these two relationships, respectively. Originality/value The study confirmed the brand tourism effect in luxury hotels by indicating a clearer relation between perception, emotion and behavioral intention. The theoretical implications could suggest insightful guidelines for future studies regarding loyalty in luxury hotels.
