In handling Drop Foot due to leprosy, Prosthetic Orthotics can provide services in the form of ortosis, namely Sandal Drop Foot, which aims to reduce the drop foot in the ankle joint caused by a decrease in flexor dorsal muscle tone. Sampling is done by purposive sampling. The sample count consisted of 10 drop foot sufferers due to leprosy at Sumberglagah Mojokerto Leprosy Hospital. The instrument used is Rivermead Visual Gait Assessment form, video gait analysis equipment (handycam, goniometre, stationery). Drop Foot sandals have a big effect on leprosy patients who experience drop foot in improving road patterns compared to without when using Drop foot sandals. Drop foot sandals are sutu aids or correction tools to prevent prolonged drop foot or prevent further disability, but can not cure and restore normal in people with drop foot due to leprosy. The purpose of this study is to find out the Effect of Using Drop Foot Sandals On Improving Road Patterns of People With Drop Foot Due to Leprosy. This study uses the research design" Quasi experiment pre post test with out control design" one groups pre and post design, where in this study there is only one group of conscientious subjects who will be measured the pattern of the path before and after being given treatment. From the alternative test Wilcoxon obtained a value of significance with a value of p = 0.004, because p < 0.05, it can be said that there is an effect on the use of Drop Foot Sandals on improving the road pattern of drop foot sufferers due to leprosy

Abstract Stroke sufferers who survive experience gait disorders because of damage to brain blood vessels that occurs when the arteries that supply blood to the brain are blocked, so that brain cells lose their oxygen supply which can lead to complaints of feeling weak in the lower limbs and the legs tend to wither or drop foot. . The Drop Foot Gait Rehabilitation Program is essential for improving muscle strength and muscle contraction. One of the Rehabilitation for Drop Foot Gait Post Stroke is FES. This study aims to analyze the effect of Functional Electrical Stimulation to correct Drop Foot Gait post stroke from various references. Selection of articles on literature review it uses PICO. Article writing using search literature through PubMed, Science Direct and Google Scholar with the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria that have been determined. Literature restricted from 2010 – 2020. From result literature review The five articles show that the results of the characteristics of the respondents based on the gender of male 54.9% and female 45.1%, the results of the characteristics of the respondents based on the age of 100% less than 50 years, and the results of 4 articles of the characteristics of the respondents based on increasing gait using Berg Balance Scale measuring instrument is the average value of pre-test 5.40 and post-test average of 3.57 with a difference of 1.83. The results of a literature review of 1 article using a measuring toolElectroencephalogram that is with the results of the pre-test score of 5.5 and the post-test average of 0.8 with a difference of 4.7. So there is an increase in the patient's gaitDrop Foot Gait Post Stroke using Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES). Functional Electrical Stimulation has an effect on improving the gait of Drop Foot patients after stroke. As a basis for further research, especially regarding.

AbstractPost-stroke patients present various gait abnormalities such as drop foot, stiff-knee gait (SKG), and knee hyperextension. Functional electrical stimulation (FES) improves drop foot gait although the mechanistic basis for this effect is not well understood. To answer this question, we evaluated the gait of a post-stroke patient walking with and without FES by inverse dynamics analysis and compared the results to an optimal control framework. The effect of FES and cause-effect relationship of changes in knee and ankle muscle strength were investigated; personalized muscle–tendon parameters allowed the prediction of pathologic gait. We also predicted healthy gait patterns at different speeds to simulate the subject walking without impairment. The passive moment of the knee played an important role in the estimation of muscle force with knee hyperextension, which was decreased during FES and knee extensor strengthening. Weakening the knee extensors and strengthening the flexors improved SKG. During FES, weak ankle plantarflexors and strong ankle dorsiflexors resulted in increased ankle dorsiflexion, which reduced drop foot. FES also improved gait speed and reduced circumduction. These findings provide insight into compensatory strategies adopted by post-stroke patients that can guide the design of individualized rehabilitation and treatment programs.
