The paper describes a mathematical model of a control system for the size population of microorganisms using modulated microwave radiation of non-thermal power. The model is implemented in the dynamic environment MATLAB+Simulink, the areas of optimal values of the impact parameters are found. An algorithm for automatic tuning of the modulation frequency during the experiment has been developed. The efficiency of the algorithmis shown with the help of computer simulation.

With the increasing abundance of material civilization, people’s pursuit of spiritual civilization is also higher and higher. Although tuning is the analysis and processing of sound signal, the string signal is also a kind of sound signal, which follows the basic law of acoustics. In the field of wireless sensor network, this paper introduces the status quo of tuning tools for stringed instruments, analyses the existing problems of tuning tools for mainstream stringed instruments, and puts forward an automatic tuning system based on wireless sensor network. The hardware design of intelligent tuning system based on wireless sensor network includes audio acquisition module, tuning control module driver circuit design and voice broadcast module, and network communication module selection analysis. The software design of intelligent tuning system based on wireless sensor network includes embedded software design and mobile software design. Embedded software design mainly includes system flow design and automatic tuning function design. In this paper, an improved endpoint detection algorithm is used to separate the chord tone from the nonchord tone, and an improved pitch detection algorithm is used to get the accurate pitch frequency of the chord tone signal. The function and performance of the tuning system are tested to verify the reliability of the optimized intelligent tuning system.

OnDBTuning is a relational database (automatic) tuning ontology. Ontologies are software artifacts that represent specific domain knowledge and can infer new knowledge. However, most cases involve only a formal and static description of concepts. Moreover, as database tuning involves many rules-ofthumb and black-box algorithms, it becomes challenging to describe these inference procedures. This research work first presents the OnDBTuning ontology solution focusing on the inference of tuning actions. Next, we provide an actual implementation using SPARQL Inferencing Notation (SPIN). Finally, we discuss a practical evaluation for index recommendation.

This paper presents the Outer-Tuning framework, which aims to support the (semi) automatic tuning of relational database systems through a domain-specific ontology. Ontologies have shown themselves to be increasingly promising, adding semantics and standardizing the different terms used in a domain. Thereby, our framework seeks to explain and make explicit the tuning heuristics reasoning while enabling the evaluation of new ontology-inferred methods. In this paper we focus on the main aspects of the Outer-Tuning component-based architecture. We also give an overview of our tool in practice. Finally, we show two useful extensions, concerning new DBMSs and a way of dockerizing into a container.

This paper presents the development of an automatic tuning of conventional PI-D controllers for Quadrotor system. The most critical problem of tuning the parameters of the PID, is that they can drastically affect the performance of the system. Accordingly, Extremum seeking (ES) algorithm is utilized here to reduce a selected cost function that brings the required performance aspects. The results show that the ES-PID controller provides better stability and performance as compared with only PI-D controller. The parameters of ES-PID controller have been successfully tuned and modified to reach the desired destination with significantly less overshoot, oscillations, and faster convergence.

This work is devoted to the study of automatic antenna tuning units of the short-wave range. Devices of narrowband matching based on discrete sets of reactive elements are considered. A classification of the most frequently used automatic matching methods has been made. The advantages and disadvantages of each method are analyzed. Examples of using different approaches in commercially available devices are given. Particular attention  is  paid  to  the  calculation  method  of  matching,  as  the most  promising  for  use  in  modern communications. Assumptions are made about the reasons for its rare use in serial devices. Circuits have been developed to simulate the influence of parasitic parameters of the components of the matching circuit and the body of the tuning unit on the resulting standing wave ratio when using this method. Based on the simulation results,  conclusions  were  drawn  about  the  reasons  for  the  low  quality  of  the  calculation  method.  As  an alternative, a new method of automatic tuning is proposed, combining the advantages of computation and search methods,  which  is  based  on  modeling  the  search  process  using  a simulation  model.  The  conditions  for  its application in automatic antenna tuning units are determined. Acomparative analysis of the features of both the known methods of automatic tuning and the newly proposed one ismade.
