В статье рассмотрены некоторые особенности репрезентации ситуации винопития в романе Людмилы Улицкой «Казус Кукоцкого» (2000). Целью исследования является определение акцентов, расставляемых автором, в процессе создания указанного семантического фрагмента. Актуальность настоящего исследования видится в том, что разрабатывается и описывается часть фрагмента семантического поля Винопитие в его индивидуально-авторской интерпретации в художественном тексте. Уделяется особое внимание трем аспектам осмысления ситуации винопития: национальной специфике понятия «русский алкоголизм», представленного в романе «Казус Кукоцкого», его семантике; некоторым профессиональным стереотипам; описанию образа жизни и привычек Кукоцкого как частного варианта репрезентации общенационального и профессионального влияния. Выявлено, что общенациональные вакхические стереотипы выражают духовноидейную семантику культуры винопития, стереотипы профессиональной сферы связаны с социально-иерархической, привычки Кукоцкого в винопитии соотносятся с утилитарной и функциональной семантикой. Отмечается, что основными параметрами, характеризующими общенациональные вакхические стереотипы, являются локус, введение квантора всеобщности или иных слов с семантикой всеохватности, обобщенного субъекта, этической оценки, привлекается также дихотомия свой - чужой. Делается вывод о том, что лексика профессиональных стереотипов отличается от употребляемой в общенациональных стереотипах тем, что содержит субъективно-оценочные словообразовательные элементы. The article discusses some peculiarities of the representation of the situation of wine drinking in the novel by Lyudmila Ulitskaya “The Kukotsky Enigma” (2000). The purpose of the study is to determine the accents placed by the author in the process of creating the specified semantic fragment. The relevance of this research is due to the fact that a part of the fragment of the semantic field of wine drinking in its individual author’s interpretation in the text is developed and described. The author pays close attention to three aspects of understanding the situation of wine drinking such as the national specifics of the concept of “Russian alcoholism” presented in the novel “The Kukotsky Enigma”, its semantics; some professional stereotypes; the description of the lifestyle and habits of Kukotsky as a particular variant of the representation of national and professional influence. It is revealed that the national bacchanalian stereotypes express the spiritual and ideological semantics of the wine-drinking culture, the stereotypes of the professional sphere are associated with the socio-hierarchical one, and Kukotsky’s habits in wine-drinking are correlated with utilitarian and functional semantics. It is noted that the main parameters that characterize the nationwide bacchanalian stereotypes are the locus, the introduction of a quantifier of universality or other words with the semantics of inclusiveness, a generalized subject, an ethical assessment, and the dichotomy of friend and foe is also involved. It is concluded that the vocabulary of professional stereotypes differs from that used in national stereotypes in that it contains subjective-evaluative word-forming elements.

Tea and the culture related to tea were formed later in the history of the Turks than in various countries of the world. However, the traces of tea culture have been permanent. Because, together with the tea culture created by the Turks today, it has become an irreplaceable value in social life. Thus, tea quickly adapted to Turkish culture. As a result of this fusion, many intellectual innovations were presented in the process from the production of tea to the consumption of tea by the Turks. It is claimed that Turks have a serious contribution to the development of tea drinking culture. Accordingly, the thinness of the cups in which tea is drunk, the method of brewing tea and so on. Other cultures were enriched by the Turks. Such an interest in tea culture has led to the enrichment of ceramic teapots in terms of form. The teapot fulfills the function of drinking tea in a way; on the other hand, it is artistic and is a form produced for art, without the purpose of functionality.

Abstract White Jamaicans developed a drinking culture that drew on British precedents, but which mutated in the tropics into a form of sociability different from how sociability operated in mid-eighteenth Enlightenment Europe, where civility was a much-aspired-to norm. In this article, I use works by eighteenth-century social commentators on Jamaica – Edward Long and especially J. B. Moreton – to explore how white Jamaicans developed a form of sociability which in Long was praised as showing Jamaicans as a generous and hospitable people but which in Moreton was described, more accurately, as a distinctive and unattractive form of debauchery, oriented around excessive drinking and sexual exploitation of enslaved women and free women of colour. The overwhelming importance of slavery in Jamaica accentuated the trends towards a debauched version of hospitality that stressed white male pleasure over everything else as a central animating value in society.
