The authors carried out modeling of the electrophysical properties of composite media. The frequency dependences of the dielectric constant on the type of inclusions in the composite are investigated. On the basis of the nanocomposite considered in the work, based on Si, B, and SiO2, the authors model a reflecting screen, the lattice elements of which have a layered hierarchically constructed structure similar to a fractal formation. The influence of the level of fractality on the optical properties of the object was also investigated, and it was found that the proposed structure makes it possible to increase the operating frequency range of the reflecting screen and the efficiency, in comparison with reflecting screens that have a lattice of traditional structure. The results obtained can be of practical interest for broadband and nonlinear radar devices, localization devices and mobile objects, microelectronics, as well as intelligent applications in the field of information security.

the creation of an environmentally friendly building material to protect the human environment can only be carried out from the position of a transdisciplinarity approach, taking into account modern achievements in geomimetics and micromechanics of composite media. A wide range of basalt-fiber-reinforced concrete based on composite binders has been developed, which have increased characteristics of impermeability and durability under extreme operating conditions. The nature of the influence of the composition and manufacturing technology of cement composites on the pore structure of the composite has been established, which has a positive effect on the charac-teristics of gas, water and vapor permeability. High early strength was obtained, which allows the use of materials for operational repair and construction in emergency situations. The positive influence of the composition of the developed composite on the performances has been proved. The water resistance of the modified composite provides a water pressure of 2 MPa for 148 hours, which corresponds to the W18 grade (for the control sample – W8), the frost resistance grade – F300. It was found that the water absorption of the modified concrete samples was lower than that of the control sample, which is explained by the decrease in the pore structure index λ by 28.4 times, and the average pore diameter by 3.05 times. The total pore volume of the modified concrete was lower and decreased with increasing dose of nanosilica.

A model of a layered hierarchically constructed composite is presented, the structure of which demonstrates the properties of similarity at different scales. For the proposed model of the composite, fractal analysis was carried out, including an assessment of the permissible range of scales, calculation of fractal capacity, Hausdorff and Minkovsky dimensions, calculation of the Hurst exponent. The maximum and minimum sizes at which fractal properties are observed are investigated, and a quantitative assessment of the complexity of the proposed model is carried out. A software package is developed that allows calculating the fractal characteristics of hierarchically constructed composite media. A qualitative analysis of the calculated fractal characteristics is carried out.

Surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) propagating at the interfaces of composite media possess a number of fascinating properties not emerging in case of conventional SPPs, i.e., at metal-dielectric boundaries. We propose here a helpful algorithm giving rise for investigation of basic features of complex conductivity dependent SPPs at the interface separating nanocomposite and hypercrystal. The main goal of the work is to investigate dispersion of the SPPs propagating at the boundary separating two different media. Aiming to achieve the aforementioned goal that the effective Maxwell Garnett model is used. It is demonstrated that the SPPs dispersive properties are dramatically affected by the material conductivity. Correspondingly, the filling ratio of the nanoparticles in the composite and their dielectric properties also allow one to engineer characteristics of the SPPs. Having a deep insight into the conductivity dependent functions, we concluded, on their behavior for the case of hyperbolic regime and Dyakonov surface waves case. Our model gives rise for studying features of surface waves in the complex conductivity plane and provides more options to tune the fundamental features of SPPs at the boundaries correlated with composite media.
