Higher education management problems in delivering 100% of graduates who can satisfy business demands. In industry it is often difficult for qualified graduates to identify the appropriate means to evaluate problem - solving abilities as well as shortcomings in the evaluation of problem solving skills. This is partially due to the lack of an adequate methodology. The purpose of this paper is to provide the appropriate CBR-KBS model for predicting and evaluating the characteristics of the student's dataset so as to comply with the parameters of selection required by the university industry. Machine learning algorithms have been used in these study areas under supervision, uncompleted and uncontrolled; K-Nearest neighbor, Naïve Bayes, Decision Tree, Neural Network, Logistic Regression and Vector Support Machines. The proposed model would allow university management to make easier, more professional, experienced and industry-specific plans for the manufacturing of graduates and graduates who passed the type I and II examinations held by the employment opportunities.

This chapter identifies a problem in higher education affecting all levels of participants from student to trustee. It is a condition where teachers pretend they are teaching, and students pretend they are learning. Brazilian anthropologist Darcy Ribeiro observed education in Brazil, identifying one of its maladies in coining the expression “O Pacto da Mediocridade” — the Mediocrity Pact. Cohen and March analyzed universities characterizing them as organized anarchies. The chapter conceptualizes the term and provides examples of the pact in action in the COVID-19 pandemic context. The authors identified problems challenging higher education management and suggested strategies to overcome the pact. Finally, they emphasize the higher education benefits of citizenship, better appreciation of culture and arts, and learning to live peacefully in a democratic and changing society.

Today, the higher education sector can be considered a market and, within it, private university education is a common marketable service in the literature on higher education management. Research on the analysis of the variables that generate the university image has been the subject of numerous investigations. Although there is no generally accepted definition, most authors approach the measurement of image through multi-factor scales, with variables relating to functional and psychological elements. This research aims to contribute to study of the most determinant variables in measuring a product’s image, assessing especially the effect of the reputation construct. This was done through measuring the image of the “private university” product as perceived by citizens of Andalusia, based on a standardized model with three dimensions—functional and affective aspects and reputation. After adapting and validating the questionnaire, a two-phase procedure is performed with double validation through exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. The results show an adapted scale valid for measuring the image of a generic product; with presentation and discussion of a series of advantages of incorporating reputation and measuring image through models with three dimensions. This article goes deeper into the possible influence of reputation as a determinant factor in measuring image, an assumption arising from some models for measuring image, something that so far has not been sufficiently contrasted.

With the continuous development of social economy, education has received more and more attention. As an important part of higher education, it has been profoundly influenced by the era of data in recent years. In order to evaluate the impact of big data on higher education management, this paper introduced a time-varying lens algorithm (TLA) to analyze the business needs of teachers and education management by sorting out the business processes of education management, education thinking, and education practice. Through learning and mining the corresponding technology, improve the corresponding educational ability, and use big data to assist the management of higher education. The simulation results show that the time-varying clustering sampling algorithm is effective.

Higher education is the last phase of the academic learning process, that is, the one that comes after the secondary stage. It is provided at universities, colleges or technical training academies. The education offered by higher education is at the professional level. The objective of the study was to analyze the management of Higher Education in the country and to describe the main activities of the institutions linked to these activities. The main results indicate that three institutions are the protagonists in management. The Secretariat of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (SENESCYT), the Council for Quality Assurance in Education (CACES) and the Council of Higher Education (CES). Higher education is one of the main drivers of societal evolution. Investing in education is vital to ensure a prosperous and competitive socioeconomic system. Higher education has a high responsibility to society: they are responsible for preparing the professionals of the future.

This study aims to reveal: 1) student performance in the management education study program; 2) academic services carried out by the higher education management master's program at the University of North Sumatra; 3) whether there is an effect of educational services on student performance in the master's degree program in higher education management. The method used in this study is a survey method, namely by distributing questionnaires to respondents and describing respondents' answers qualitatively. Research Results: 1) Student performance of the UMSU Higher Education Management Masters Program, accustomed to being on time, taking notes from lecturers' explanations, actively preparing lecture materials, actively asking and answering questions, accustomed to making lecture summaries, filling out attendance lists, searching and reviewing source books, study groups, and participate in activities organized by the Study Program. 2) Administrative services have been carried out in an orderly and fair manner for 11 types of services, namely lecture scheduling, lecture preparation, lecture implementation, class determination, student grouping, lecture evaluation, thesis writing supervisor assignments, guidance process, implementation proposal seminars, thesis examination implementation, and student study completion process. All these services have been carried out satisfactorily and adequately. 3) There is a direct positive effect of administrative services on student performance in the higher education management study program. The results have significance for higher education. These findings can make academic service implications for student performance.

In order to improve the low efficiency of higher education management and the unequal distribution of curriculum resources, facing the actual situation of higher education management, a higher education management system based on data mining technology is constructed and optimized. Using the correlation between MVC components of higher education management platform and the support of data mining technology, this paper constructs the MVC model 2 framework of higher education management platform which is a powerful framework used for developing large-scale projects with ease. We collect the data structure in the database, extract the evaluation indicators of higher education management system, separate the display results and business logic, and improve code reusability. We adopt data input, curriculum management, curriculum scheduling, teacher scheduling, and system maintenance and help to form and optimize the higher education management system. The experimental results show that the constructed and optimized higher education management system can maintain good scheduling performance and provide better teaching services for teachers and students.
