Abstract This study offers a linguistic description of the idiom of the Jews of the Comtat Venaissin (“Judeo-Provençal”) at the end of the 18th century, based on a critical edition of the only relevant document illustrating this language, a theatrical play in verse entitled Harcanot et Barcanot. The introduction provides a philological inventory of all known sources of “Judeo-Provençal.” The critical and variorum edition of the text, accompanied by linear glosses in English, is followed by a commentary comprising a glossary and analysis of all relevant linguistic features. It reveals, inter alia, that this language possessed words pertaining to the linguistic repertoire of French Jews since the Middle Ages; as for the phonetic features of the Jewish dialect of Provençal, their etiology is to be found in the history of the communities. The study concludes with a reassessment of the nature of linguistic variation in the dialect of the Jews of Provence.

This chapter demonstrates that the documents used on various occasions can for the most part be identified as originals, and sometimes as authenticated copies. The secretaries acting in the councils regularly point out relevant document features they can observe that allow them to determine this status. Chief among such features is the identification of signatures or of distinct annotations made in a person’s ‘own hand’. Such features, originally visible to practitioners in the councils and discernible on the original documents, are replaced in subsequent manuscript copying by the identification of ‘a different hand’ in the exemplar, which the copyist observed and noted. Annotations in the hand of the emperor are especially significant; they serve as authoritative instructions and prompt the councils into corresponding action.

ABSTRACTThis study aims to examine the policy synergy between the Provincial Government of East Java and the Central Government in dealing with Covid-19. The urgency of this study is to explain to what extent policies between the Local Governments and the Central Government are in sync. This research uses legal research methods. Primary data includes statutory regulations, especially the Law on Health quarantine and secondary data such as previous research, expert opinion, and other relevant document data. This study concludes that the East Java Provincial Government and the Central Government have a synergy in dealing with Covid-19 in Indonesia. However, neither the legal products that are produced nor policies that are political in nature do not conflict with one another.

"Thirty years after the fall of communism the debates about the soviet role in the East European Revolutions of 1989 are not ended. In this short article we discuss a relevant document in relation with this topic. It was an order issued by the Chief of the UM 0110 at the beginning of December 1989 in relation with the dangers related to the presence of tourists form East and West in Romania. In essence, in the same day when supposedly Bush and Gorbachev discussed in Malta the fate of Romania, the UM 0110 enter in an alarm situation. According to the directive, in order to control and prevent, but also for neutralize and thwart any hostile actions of the possible dangers, the UM 0110 need to intensify the surveillance of different categories of subjects which were in the attention (foreign tourists, other foreign travelers or representatives that were in Romania from other communist countries). What this document tells us is the fact that the Romanian Securitate was aware that such dangers need to be addressed urgently and that beyond routine urgent actions need to be prepared. These perils become pressing in terms of control, prevention and neutralization of the eventual actions of those tourists. Keywords: Romania, December 1989, foreign tourists, Securitate surveillance, UM 0110 "

The present paper is an exercise in pedagogical archeology that rescues a relevant document for the history of Catalan pedagogy, and by extension, Chilean pedagogy, given the fact that Bardina resided in Chile for many years. We begin by presenting a paper, unpublished until now, that Juan Bardina presented in the Primary Teaching Conference of Barcelona (1909) and in which he summarizes what he considered to be the new education (the “stimulating pedagogy”, in his own words). We provide a brief biography of the author and some notes about his thought and pedagogical work, in order to contextualize, analyze and, where necessary, clarify the paper’s content. In it Bardina leaves traces of his filo-Americanism and his agreement with the postulates of Spencer about the philosophy of evolutionism. Finally, the reader will find the transcription of the paper, published for the first time.

In the world of internet, searching play a vital role to retrieve the relevant answers for the user specific queries. The most promising application of natural language processing and information retrieval system is Question answering system which provides directly the accurate answer instead of set of documents. The main objective of information retrieval is to retrieve relevant document from a huge volume of data sets underlying in the internet using appropriatemodel. There are many models proposed for retrieval process such as Boolean, Vector space and Probabilistic method. Vector space model is best method in information retrieval for document ranking with efficient document representation which combines simplicity and clarity. VSM adopts similarity function to measure the matching between documents and user intent, and assign scores from the biggest to smallest. The documents and query are assigned with weights using term frequency and inverse document frequency method. To retrieve most relevant document to the user query term, document ranking function cosine similarity score is applied for every document and user query. The documents having more similarity scores will be considered as relevant documents to the query term and they are ranked based on these scores. This paper emphasizes on different techniques of information retrieval and Vector Space Model offers a realistic compromise in IR processing. It allows best weighing scheme which ranks the set of documents in order of relevance based on user query.

Document Clustering is the process of segmenting a particular collection of text into subgroups. Nowadays all documents are in electronic form, because of the issue to retrieve relevant document from the large database. The goal is to transform text composed of daily language in a structured, database format. In this way, different documents are summarized and presented in a uniform manner. The challenging problem of document clustering are big volume, high dimensionality and complex semantics. The objective of this paper is mainly focused on clustering multi-sense word embeddings using three different algorithms(K-means, DBSCAN, CURE). Among these three algorithm CURE gives better accuracy and it can handle large databases efficiently.</p>

One of the crucial challenges facing the Orthodox world is the necessity to regulate the canonical status of the Orthodox diaspora. The Council on Crete, held in 2016, accepted a relevant document and stated the willingness of all Orthodox Churches “to resolve the problem of the Orthodox diaspora and its organization in accordance with Orthodox ecclesiology, and the canonical tradition and practice of the Orthodox Church”. A model of a compromise that could reconcile the competing approaches of various Orthodox Churches has been long searched for. However, less and less attention is paid to the fact that the theory imposed by the Church of Constantinople is purely arbitrary and devoid of any solid reasons. Throughout the 20th century, it has been more than once challenged as pseudo-canonical. It is clear that any consensus based on erroneous theological assumptions will be leading to failure. This article is intended to show that the repeatedly refuted approach of the Church of Constantinople cannot help in formulating a truly canonical decision of the problem of diaspora.
