Abstract Objective and reasonable evaluation is the basis of power-generating unit optimal operation, but evaluation method based on single weight can’t adapt to the high accuracy requirement of comprehensive evaluation. In order to achieve the accurate evaluation of power-generating unit operating reliability, this paper firstly calculates subjective weight and objective weight of target attribute by analytic hierarchy process method and entropy weight method. It calculates the associated weight of target attribute by grey relational degree method, and it obtains the linear combined weight by relaxation factor. Then, the power-generating unit operating reliability is evaluated by improved TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution), and the evaluation result is obtained. Finally, the relaxation factor is continuously evaluated from 0 to 1 to perform sensitivity analysis. This paper evaluates the operation reliability of nine wind turbines in a wind farm, and the evaluation result is closer to actual operation state of wind turbines. This method has high reliability and practical value, and it provides a new technical means for making a reasonable maintenance plan of wind turbines.

Abstract Parental pronuclei (PN) are asymmetrical in several points but the underlying mechanism for this is still unclear. Recently, a theory has been become broadly accepted that sperm are more than mere vehicles to carry the paternal haploid genome into oocytes. Here, in order to reveal the formation mechanisms for parental asymmetrically relaxed chromatin structure in zygotes, we investigated histone mobility in parthenogenetic-, androgenic-, ROSI-, ELSI-, tICSI-, and ICSI-zygotes with several numbers of PNs with the use of zygotic fluorescence recovery after photobleaching, a method previous established by our group. The results showed that sperm played a role to cause chromatin compaction in both parental PNs. Interestingly, during spermiogenesis, male germ cells acquired this ability and its resistance. On the other hand, oocytes harbored chromatin relaxation ability. Furthermore, the chromatin relaxation factor was competed for between PNs. Thus, these results indicated that the parental asymmetrically relaxed chromatin structure was established as a result of a competition between the PNs for the chromatin relaxation factor that opposed the chromatin compaction effect by sperm. Together, it was suggested that parental germ cells cooperated for their just arisen newborn zygotes by playing a distinct role in the regulation of chromatin structure.

The Analytic Target Cascading (ATC) is an effective method for solving hierarchical Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO) problems. At the same time, this method suffers from poor convergence and low accuracy, which is caused by the inconsistency of system constraints. In this paper, a novel ATC method based on dynamic relaxation factor is proposed. The dynamic relaxation factor of consistency constraint is added in the system level and is adjusted by the deviation of the linking variables between the levels to ensure the feasible region of the design space. The effectiveness and accuracy of this method are verified by a mathematical example. This method is used to solve the lightweight problem of the trussed front part of the vehicle body frame based on active and passive safety to achieve the collaborative optimization of lightweight trussed frame, crash safety, and aerodynamic characteristics. The important value of the novel ATC method based on dynamic relaxation factor in engineering applications is proven.

In this paper, Landweber iteration with a relaxation factor is proposed to solve nonlinear ill-posed integral equations. A compression multiscale Galerkin method that retains the properties of the Landweber iteration is used to discretize the Landweber iteration. This method leads to the optimal convergence rates under certain conditions. As a consequence, we propose a multiscale compression algorithm to solve nonlinear ill-posed integral equations. Finally, the theoretical analysis is verified by numerical results.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to propose a novel relaxation modified factor to accelerate the numerical solution of the radiative transfer equation (RTE) with several high-resolution total variation diminishing schemes. The methodology proposed is denoted as the X-factor method. Design/methodology/approach The X-factor method was compared with the technique deferred-correction (DC) for the calculations of a two-dimensional cavity with absorting-emiting-scatteting gray media using the discrete ordinates method. Four parameters were considered to evaluate: the absorption coefficient, the emissivity of boundary surface, the scattering albedo and under-relaxation factor. Findings The results showed the central processing unit (CPU) time of X-factor method was lower than DC. The reductions of CPU time with the X-factor method were observed from 0.6 to 75.4%. Originality/value The superiority of the X-factor method over DC was showed with the reduction of CPU time of the numerical solution of RTE for evaluated cases.

This paper is devoted to study the existence of center-stable manifolds for some planar fractional differential equations of Caputo type with relaxation factor. After giving some necessary estimation for Mittag–Leffler functions, some existence results for center-stable manifolds are established under the mild conditions by virtue of a suitable Lyapunov–Perron operator. Moreover, an explicit example is given to illustrate the above result. Finally, high-dimensional case is considered.
