The paper covers the results of the theoretical and experimental investigation of the developed sectional operating element of a flexible screw conveyer designed for transporting bulk agricultural materials. In order to determine the correlation between the design parameters of the hinged screw sections and the minimum permissible radius of curvature of a processing line, the analytical dependences have been deduced. The results of the experimental studies aimed at determining the efficiency of a screw conveyer and the level of the grain material damage depending on the change in design, kinematic and technological parameters of an operating element are presented.

Screw blade is the essential part of a screw conveyer. The design of large scale, multiple blades screw conveyer involves complicated calculation and repeated work, is low in accuracy and efficiency. With parameterized design as the guiding principle, this article discusses the mathematical model for the development of cylindrical shaft tapered screw blade, and provides a VB based parameterized automatic drawing design method that allows arbitrary division of the helix angle, on the platform of AutoCAD. Practical experience has shown that the method improves design efficiency and accuracy, and is simple and pragmatic.

Screw conveyer is an important component of sand fracturing blender.seamless Link of Pro/e and CFX through ANSYS Workbench. Numerical simulation of water flow over the screw conveyer using Realizable k-ε turbulence model. From the stress nephogram, velocity nephogram, Velocity vector pofile and micro swirl field pattern, it is seems that the test results can work well under the actual operation condition of field application. This paper also focuses on exploring the method of CFX software simulation when it is used to calculate the internal flow field of the screw type sand transporter. Hence, it is an important guiding significance to the structural optimization design of screw conveyer.
