In the article, a mathematical expression is obtained that characterizes the effect of the doses of introduced fertilizers, the content of nutrients in the soil and their absorption by sugar beet plants on the yield of this crop. With the help of the developed mathematical model, the optimal values of the content of macronutrients in soil and plants are determined: nitrogen ~ 21.81 mg/kg and 1.02 %; phosphorus ~ 58.88 mg/kg and 0.33 %; potassium ~ 120.21 mg/kg and 1.33%, respectively, which accumulate when introducing a complete fertilizer at a dose of N80P80K80. This leads to the achievement of the maximum yield of root crops, which corresponds to the calculated value of this indicator ≈of 56.94 and 64.6 t/ha and coincides with the experimental one = 57.9 and 62.0 t/ha, respectively, obtained in this variant. The introduced fertilizers containing boron contributed to a more intensive absorption of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium by root crops. The use of trace elements causes a tendency to increase the yield of this crop.

Elastic partitions have been developed to be installed in the body of a vehicle and allowing to reduce damage to tubers when unloading by reducing the speed and, accordingly, the interaction of potatoes with the working surfaces of the machine and neighboring tubers. A mathematical model of a device for transporting and unloading root crops has been developed, taking into account the physical properties of root crops, the physical and geometric characteristics of the container and elastic partitions, as well as the parameters of the unloading process. As a result of comparative field tests of a serial MAZ 5516 truck body and an experimental MAZ 5516 truck body with installed transverse partitions, it was found that the use of the developed elastic transverse partitions reduces damage to potato tubers from 5.3% to 2.9%.

The design of a vibrating machine for dry cleaning on the transport of root crops is proposed. The machine has an independent vibrating unbalanced drive and a spring suspension. It is equipped with a grid system and raw grocery separators to improve the efficiency of cleaning process. It has a wide range of changes in kinematic, power and geometric parameters, which regulates the intensity of the purification process depending on the type of raw grocery. A nonlinear mathematical model of the motion description of this machine was constructed with the aim of studying its dynamics and selection the parameters that would ensure the maximum efficiency of its operation. The model is parametric and unified, and it is a system of analytical dependencies describing the oscillating motion of the working chamber of the machine and the raw material to be cleaned, depending on the machine parameters.

Abstract Due to the high energy intensity of lifting of deep-seated table root crops, their growth develops mainly in light sandy-loam soils, in which it is possible to transfer a heap of root crops to the separating devices in order to facilitate the qualitative separation. Therefore, issue of lifting of deep-seated table root crops at minimal energy consumption and labour costs is an important scientific and practical task, which would allow expansion of cultivation of deep-seated table root vegetables to heavy soils. Research was conducted by means of a theoretical method utilizing elements of theoretical mechanics with subsequent processing of results by means of PC. Mathematical model and resulting energy cost dependences were constructed on the basis of the device parameters for soil loosening and lifting of deep-seated table root crops. Refined mathematical model of the process of lifting of deep-seated root crops made it possible to find out scientific and technical preconditions for the development of lifting devices with minimal energy consumption.
