Applying laser technology to the growth of plants to limit the use of chemical fertilizers is an interesting topic in agriculture. The main idea is to preserve the environment, ensuring product quality while still achieving high productivity, we decided to carry out this research project, to investigate the effect of the low-level laser (the wavelengths 532nm, 850nm, and 940nm) on stems and leaf development. It is expected that with these research results, the implementation method will be widely disseminated in the high agricultural sector, coming closer to farmers. Moreover, the results of the analysis of the composition of bitter melon stems and leaves will be applied in medical treatment (such as diabetes, wound treatment, anti-oxidation, anti-bacteria ...)

In this paper, we present some results obtained from the simulation of low power 633, 780, 850, and 940 nm laser in the liver by Monte Carlo method, with the model of the liver, consisting of 5mm derm, 7mm subcutaneous fat, 5 mm muscle layer. Based on these results, we fabricated devices called “Laser Semiconductor Optoacupuncture and phototherapy Device” using 780 and 940nm semiconductor lasers to treat chronic hepatitis. We combined with the doctor in An Giang province to clinical practice for 50 voluntary patients with chronic hepatitis. We used a 650 nm wavelength intravascular semiconductor laser treatment clinically to provide high-quality blood to the patients’ liver. Treating the phototherapy of the skin with two semiconductor laser beams with 780 nm and 940 nm wavelengths directly affects the liver from the surface of the abdomen. At the moment, we use the treatment on acupoint with 940nm- wavelength laser. A treatment course consists of 20 times for the patients is treated continuously. The patients tested with the ALT and AST before and after treatment with 3 courses. We use the SPSS 23 statistical method to evaluate the outcomes of treatment. The clinical symptoms of the patients such as fatigue, nausea, indigestion, fever, jaundice, yellow eyes almost completely have gone out after treatment. Low-level laser therapy offers a good response in patients with moderate to severe hepatic impairment such as the AST of 56.380 ± 10.162 and 39.260 ± 4.869; The ALT of 56.540 ± 13.580 and 41,360 ± 7,488 for before- and after treatments, respectively. Low-level laser therapy for patients initially has good results, high therapeutic effectiveness, no catastrophic or side Effects, and the statistical significance is p < 0.001.This research applied the ethical principles of the Helsinki Declaration in human researches. The research was carried out using non-invasive methods on humans with the regulations of the University of Technology, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, and the relevant regulations.

This research aims to evaluate the effect of low-level laser therapy (LLLT) on the healing of the burn for the mouse. Four mouses are divided into 4 groups. Group 1, 2, 3 are irradiated by a wavelength of 532nm, 850nm, and 940nm. Group 4 is a control group that has a natural recovery. Low-level laser therapy makes the regenerative process, healing occurs faster, and rehabilitation of mouse activity during treatment.

Background: Unmanaged type 2 diabetes mellitus has dangerous consequences, such as neuropathy. Oxidative stress and inflammatory factors play an important role in the development of diabetic neuropathy. Diabetics are prone to mild cognitive impairment, which is a neurological disease. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of quercetin as a functional food and oxidative agents and inflammatory factors of low-level laser.Methods: In this study, 60 elderly volunteers were selected: 30 normal as a control group and 30 with type 2 diabetes mellitus and mild cognitive impairment. The average age was 75 years old. Groups of diabetic patients were examined for changes in glucose levels, oxidants, antioxidants and inflammatory factors before and after treatment with quercetin and low-level laser therapy–green laser diode with a wavelength of 532 nm at 100 mw and compared with the control group. Changes in the levels of biochemical parameters were performed according to the instructions of the relevant kits. Results: The results of the obtained data analysis showed that there was a significant difference (P value < 0.05) in the levels of glucose, hydrogen peroxide, advanced glycation end-products, malondialdehyde, oxidized-low density lipoprotein, paraoxonase, lipoprotein lipase, and inflammatory factors including TNF-α, interleukin-1 alpha and interleukin-1 beta between diabetic samples before and after treatment with quercetin and laser from control subject samples. There was no significant difference (P value > 0.05) in inflammatory factors between quercetin-treated, laser-treated and both quercetin and laser treated groups. The synergistic effect of quercetin and laser between the quercetin and laser treated group and the untreated group on changes in the levels of biochemical parameters was observed significantly only in advanced glycation end-products, malondialdehyde, oxidized-low density lipoprotein, and paraoxonase.Conclusion: The results showed that quercetin, laser, and their synergistic effect can play a role in reducing some oxidant factors.Keywords: Quercetin, Low-level laser, Inflammatory factors, Oxidative factors, Diabetes mellitus

Abstract Background Scuba diving has become a popular hobby. However, diving puts the auditory system at the risk of a wide variety of complaints including tinnitus. Low-level laser therapy is a new modality in treatment of tinnitus. This study evaluates effect of laser therapy on tinnitus of scuba divers in Red Sea. This randomized study included 200 scuba diving patients with tinnitus without any other audiological symptoms. They were randomly divided into two groups: GI (n=100) patients were subjected to 60 sessions of laser therapy, and in the other group GII (n=100), the machine was off while doing the procedure. The Tinnitus Questionnaire (TQ) was done every 20 days to evaluate the severity of the tinnitus for both groups. Results Both groups were matched regarding age and sex distribution. GI group experienced significantly decreased tinnitus severity compared to GII after laser therapy. There was no relation between duration of diving and laser therapy effect in GI. Conclusion Laser therapy is effective in treatment of tinnitus of scuba divers and its effect is increased by number of laser sessions.

The orthodontic treatment brings numerous benefits and, in most cases, the benefits outweigh the possible disadvantages. Root resorption (RR) is a common adverse phenomenon associated with orthodontic treatment. This study evaluates the role of low-level laser emission / Photobiomodu-lation (LE/P) in quantitative measurements of root resorption (QRR). The application of LE/P was done after each orthodontic activation with 4 types of treatment intervention (TI) on the RR after fixed orthodontic treatment (FOT) of the upper arch with ectopic eye tooth/teeth [EET]. 32 Orthodontic patients scheduled for FOT were selected and assigned to the 4 groups. These were LE/P+Self ligating bracket (SLB), LE/P+Conventional bracket (CB), Non-Photobiomodulation (non-LE/P)+SLB, and non-LE/P+CB. Standard management stages of FOT were followed in the maxilla. Each patient received a single application of LE/P labially/buccally and palatally, a total of 5 different points during each activation or appointment. The main outcome measure was QRR in maxillary anteriors before and after FOT assessed via cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) using 3D OnDemand software. Insignificant QRR was found between before and after FOT in SLB, CLB, and LE/P, non-LE/P groups (p &gt; 0.05). QRR in the SLB vs CB and LE/P vs non-LE/P group was significantly different in 11, 13, and 23 (p &lt; 0.05). QRR in the LE/P+SLB group (p &lt; 0.05) was significantly different in 11, 13, and 23 than that in the other groups. The most severe QRR was found on the 13 (0.88 &plusmn; 0.28mm and 0.87&plusmn;0.27mm) and 23 (1.19 &plusmn; 0.14 mm and 1.16&plusmn;0.13mm) in the CB and non-LE/P group (p &lt; 0.001). LE/P+SLB showed highly significant superior outcome (p &lt; 0.001) in relation to non-LE/P+CB, the QRR of 23 were 0.813&plusmn; 0.114mm and 1.156&plusmn; 0.166mm respectively. Significantly higher amount of QRR found in EET patients after FOT treated with the CB, non-LE/P, and non-LE/P+CB system and warrants further investigation to explore potential specific causes.
