Significance Traditionally, a balanced portfolio mix of 60% stocks against 40% bonds and cash offered investors some protection against inflation. However, recent periods when equities and bonds have fallen in tandem have encouraged investors to assess other assets' resilience to inflation. Impacts Demand for different inflation hedges will vary according to investors’ timeframes and risk tolerances. While rising inflation can affect the purchasing power of assets, an offsetting positive is that it can also reduce the real value of debt. If inflation eases faster than expected this year, demand for inflation hedges will fall.

In this study, we used a household level survey to assess choices of varieties and demand for improved cassava varieties. A multivariate probit model was used to examine the determinants of choice decisions of the farmers for different varieties preventing potential endogeneity and measurement error. A Linearized Almost Ideal Demand System (LA/AIDS) model was used to analyze the demand system for improved cassava varieties. The results of the (LA/AIDS) model indicated farmers were very price sensitive to changes in improved stem prices and incomes. We suggest that intervention program that will improve the purchasing power of the farmers should be targeted towards the smallholder cassava farmers to accelerate adoption of improved cassava varieties. Economic development in today is very fast, this can be seen from the changes that are happening now, these changes are the impact of economic globalization which is none other than trade liberalization and free market economic investment, as a result of that free market is likely to occur competition free tight, so the strong party and high purchasing power will dominate the market and become a winner in the competition and vice versa, the weak party with low purchasing power will automatically be excluded from the scope of competition and will be a passive audience in trading. From the ratio analysis of financial statements. KPRI  can be seen in comparing the number of assets with the ability to meet short-term obligations turned out to be less good because it is still far from industry standards, and in the ability to pay all financial obligations both short-term and long-term are also still liquid, but in obtaining income net every year, in 2016-2020 KPRI was considered able to obtain high profits. Because in each year the income earned is increasing. And in generating a net profit KPRI is considered sufficient because it is measured by its effectiveness in investing its capital throughout all assets. Based on the results of KPRI performance measurements using the concept of ratio analysis of financial statements that have been carried out, it results in a satisfactory total performance measurement. Strategic planning that has been made is carried out to the fullest so that the cooperative's performance is in accordance with the vision and mission of KPRI.

In the recent studies of half century, purchasing power and spending has been at the center of attention for academicians. Since consumption is directly related to purchasing power so, any issue that is not related to market did not become the part of consumer studies. The current study aims to identify the antecedents of responsible consumption. It further examine the role of responsible consumption in consumer well-being.

The article examines the peculiarities of the formation of the food market of Ukraine and trends in its development. The actual capacity of the domestic market for certain products has been determined, taking into account the decrease in the average per capita consumption of certain food products by the population and the reduction in the population of Ukraine. It is established that the growth of gross output of agricultural products has improved the level of self-sufficiency in food in Ukraine. Meeting the needs of the population in food, within its purchasing power, is almost entirely provided by domestic products, except fruits, berries, and grapes. The level and dynamics of import dependence of the food market as a whole and in the context of individual product groups are determined.

The current study explores nonlinear cointegration as well as asymmetric adjustment to investigate the long-run purchasing power parity in three major trading partners of Pakistan. The ESTAR and LSTAR models were used to investigate the behavior of the nominal exchange rates. The findings declared that series follows the nonlinear exchange rate. The asymmetric behavior of the exchange rate allows the threshold cointegration model to be implemented. In the case of Pakistan-China, the result suggests that long-run PPP holds. As a result, trading will be more profitable if the exchange rate is varied in relation to major trading partners rather than just the US dollar.
