The specificities of leaching (outflow) of chemicals from soddy-podzolic loamy deeply gleyed soil by infiltration and its return from groundwater during their evaporation are considered in the paper. In the annual cycle calcium is the element which is mostly washed out with amount of 89…106 kg/ha. It was shown that potassium (15…14), manganese (13,6…9,3), zinc (13,6…7,7), calcium (7,5…5,2) and magnesium (7,1…4,7) in percentage of the outflow return in the soil with the capillary rise of groundwater. It is shown that the ratio of infiltration (I) and evaporation of groundwater (K) in soddy-podzolic soil is within the range of 0,3…0,6 for medium arid, 2,6…2,9 for average long-term and 2,6…2,9 for humid conditions of atmospheric moistening. Thus, the lowest values of ratios for medium arid, and the highest ones – for medium humid conditions, which reflects the real specificities of the infiltration and evaporation of groundwater in natural conditions.

The effect of cultivation of legumes on the fertility rate of sod-podzolic surface-gleyed soil has been investigated. Based on the obtained results it has been found that on average, during the years of cultivation, the fertilizer factor with a percentage of 62% turns out to be more influential in terms of yield obtained from 1 ha of dry mass. The highest nutrient content is observed on the alfalfa variant: alkaline hydrolyzed nitrogen-80.4 mg/kg of soil, mobile phosphorus-81.5 mg/kg of soil and exchangeable potassium-77.3 mg/kg of soil.

The results of studies of the change in redox potential in the profile of light gray forest surface-gleyed soil on variants with long-term agricultural use without applying fertilizers and mineral fertilizer system solely compared with the soil under the forest are presented. On the basis of the conducted analyzes it was established, that soil tillage without fertilizer application and with mineral fertilizer solely has a different effect on ROP in the profile. In the soil without fertilization (control) as compared to the forest a moderate oxidizing (514 mV) and slightly oxidizing (437 mV) processes are happening. Prolonged application of mineral fertilizers to the soil (N65R68K68) significantly reduced the redox potential of all genetic horizons compared with forest and control without fertilizers. For the given fertilizer system the highest values of ROP were obtained in arable HEgl and underarable HEgl layers: 426 mV and 416 mV respectively. Redox potential sharply decreases with the depth to 398-311 mV, which characterizes processes occurring in the soil profile, as weakly reducing and close to moderately reducing.
