In this chapter, the authors address intersections between romantic relationship factors and the transition to work experience. They briefly summarize the nature of romantic relationships during emerging adulthood and then review research conducted around the world, which reveals that these two aspects of a person’s life are closely intertwined during emerging adulthood. They describe the ways romantic relationship development and career development have been found to influence each other and the concerns that many emerging adults have about balancing their goals in these two areas of life. Drawing on this literature, they make several recommendations for practitioners who are assisting emerging adults to make an optimal transition to work in the context of their romantic relationships. Finally, the authors use a case study, drawn from research conducted by the first author, to illustrate how the principles discussed in this review can manifest in the lives of one emerging adult couple.

"Children First" deals with the current state of our school education. The book explains correct learning strategies, warns against exaggerated hopes of digitalisation and starts where all education begins: with the children! The focus lies on learning and brain development, social and psychological problems, the problems of academic performance and its assessment, as well as the interfaces of our school system with enrolment at universities and the transfer and transition to work and study. A new inflation in grading, the rampant testitis and the topic of inclusion - a school for all! - round off the look at our school system of today, which is in need of reform.

Abstract This paper analysis decision making, interest intermediation, and value in the realm of government, public and private cooperation under corporatism to enable young third-country immigrants’ transition to work in Austria, Finland and the Czech Republic. Based on document analysis, this paper concludes a centralized delegation of authority, interest intermediations, and public values administrative devices in corporatism governance with democratic deficit that steer young third-country immigrants transition to work. However, the Czech Republic is dissimilar to Austria and Finland with the focus on relationship and partnership cooperation pattern to build contacts, where as Finland and Austria prefer cooperation in the form of coordinating varying employment objectives. The outcome points to deliberate democracy in neoliberal market-oriented setting. This is relevance to bureaucratic accountability and performance monitoring, but imperative to operational risk that may not only impair vulnerable people's belongings, but jeopardize public value accountability, sustainable finance and democratic values.

This chapter describes different experiences of social and labor market inclusion through socio-educational action for a specific group of vulnerable young people from Spain, England, and Argentina—namely care leavers. The chapter explores these interventions from the perspective of several research studies that contribute important information to evaluating the effects and social impact. Along with different models of intervention, reference is made to the legislative and social policy changes and the organization of resources that have taken place in the three countries to improve the transition to work for care-experienced young people. In this way, experiences, theory and research are considered an interactive system that in recent decades has managed to modify complex realities of people and collectives. This has contributed to an emerging and shared system that turns transitions to the world of work for vulnerable young people into a commitment to transforming societies.
