The study is about parental involvement in quality of teaching at pre- education level (PG to Class2). The aim of this research was to explore the effect of parents’ role in the enhancement of quality of teaching at Montessori level. This research study was descriptive in nature. Parents and teachers of students studying in Lahore city were the target population of the study. Two hundred parents and one hundred students of PG to class 2, from ten public and ten private primary schools were sample of the study. The survey method was used for data collection. It has been found out that parents are facing challenges and difficulties in rearing of child in current era. Study has witnessed a long gap in students’ achievement due to less parents’ support in classroom guidance provided to their kids at preschool level. Findings of this study show that teaching quality and learning level of student is directly correlated with scales from the parental involvement. Evidence based research in this literature review indicated that those preschool approaches are more successful that have focus on role of parents along with the teacher.

Recently, a mnemonic device, SHORES, was created for counselors to utilize with clients with suicidal ideation. The acronym of SHORES stands for Skills and strategies for coping (S); Hope (H); Objections (O); Reasons to live and Restricted means (R); Engaged care (E); and Support (S). In this manuscript, SHORES is introduced as a way for school counselors to address protective factors against suicide. In addition, the authors review the literature on comprehensive school suicide prevention and suicide protective factors; describe the relevance of a suicide protective factors mnemonic that school counselors can use; and illustrate the mnemonic’s application in classroom guidance, small-group, and individual settings.

Abstrak Layanan bimbingan klasikal dengan teknik Experiential Learning sebagai metode yang membantu pendidik dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan dan upaya memfasilitasi peserta didik untuk mengenal dan menerima dirinya sendiri serta lingkungannya secara positif dan dinamis dan mampu mengambil keputusan yang bertanggung jawab, mengembangkan serta mewujudkan diri secara efektif dan produktif, sesuai dengan peranan yang diinginkan di masa depan, serta menyangkut upaya memfasilitasi peserta didik agar mampu mengembangkan potensi dirinya atau mencapai tugas-tugas perkembangannya. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan bimbingan kelas. Penelitian tindakan bimbingan kelas pada dasarnya mengikuti prosedur penelitian tindakan kelas, dengan fokus penelitian dalam bimbingan dan konseling, penelitian tindakan kelas atau Classroom Action Research (CAR) merupakan suatu pencermatan terhadap kegiatan belajar berupa sebuah tindakan, yang sengaja dimunculkan dan terjadi dalam sebuah kelas secara bersama. Pada penelitian ini subyek penelitiannya adalah peserta didik kelas VII. Pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan pada jam bimbingan klasikal yaitu pada saat jam bimbingan konseling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, tidak terdapat peserta didik yang termasuk dalam kategori sesuai ataupun kurang sesuai dan sudah tidak ada lagi peserta didik yang belum bisa mengembangkan potensi diri. Kata kunci: Eksperential Learning; Bimbingan Klasikal; Potensi Diri   Abstract Classical guidance services with Experiential Learning techniques as a method that helps educators improve the quality of education and efforts to facilitate students to know and accept themselves and their environment in a positive and dynamic manner and are able to make responsible decisions, develop and manifest themselves effectively and productively, in accordance with the desired role in the future, as well as regarding efforts to facilitate students so that they are able to develop their potential or achieve their developmental tasks. This research is a classroom guidance action research. Classroom action research basically follows classroom action research procedures, with a research focus in guidance and counseling, Classroom Action Research (CAR) is an examination of learning activities in the form of an action, which is deliberately raised and occurs in a class together. In this study, the research subjects were class VII students. The research was conducted during classical guidance hours, namely during counseling guidance hours. Based on the results of the research conducted, there were no students who were in the appropriate or unsuitable category and there were no students who had not been able to develop their potential. The demand for a better education system will result in not only a better academic achievement but also students with better character. Particularly in this digital era, it is very important to integrate technology in the process of guidance and counseling services at schools. This article aims to provide a critical review of implementation and application of classical guidance with format flipped classroom in coping with the advance of technology as an effort that can be made by school counselors in order to make innovation in guidance and counseling service at schools. This research method is a literature study. This study collected and analyzed relevant journals related to the use of flipped classroom. Class guidance with flipped classroom format has the potential to help school counselors to manage classical guidance and stimulate students to be active, communicative, and contributive to the process of guidance so that the topic presented can be addressed directly. In addition, by doing this, it is expected that students can develop themselves well in their social, academic, and career life. School counselors can use flipped classroom guidance to make innovation in performing classroom guidance services. The steps to perform flipped classroom guidance, in brief, are determine the topic to be discussed based on the need of the student, creating service program plan, then setting up the activities that the students will do in pre-class activity and inside the class, the implementation of the activities and evaluation, and follow up.

This study aimed to know the psychometry characteristic of need assessment instrument on the topic of classroom guidance in the social guidance and counseling services for students at SMP Negeri 1 Yogyakarta. This study was research and development followed Saifuddin Azwar model. Data collection method was a rating scale. Data analysis used content validity which was formulated by Aiken, construct validity used Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and reliability analysis used Alpha Cronbach. The results of this development research were the need assessment instrument on the topic of classroom guidance in social guidance and counseling services for students at SMP N 1 Yogyakarta based on the content validity obtained 0,85, reliability 0,98 and found several new item groups from exploratory factor analysis result. It could be concluded that instrument of need assessment on the topic of social guidance and counseling was feasible to use
