<p>This thesis reconceives the productive possibilities of incoherence in four works of contemporary conceptual writing. Despite a pervasive ‘recognition’ of incoherence in literary criticism, we find little formal theorisation of its structure. Against existing evaluative and mystifying impressions of incoherence in literary analysis, I propose a revised concept of incoherence. This is equivalent to the existence of a contradiction (A and not-A) in a work that problematises the work’s identity. I test this concept in four recent works of conceptual writing: Expeditions of a Chimæra by Oana Avasilichioaei and Erín Moure (with interruptions by Elisa Sampedrín); An Arranged Affair by Sally Alatalo; The Happy End / All Welcome by Mónica de la Torre; and Hu Fang’s Garden of Mirrored Flowers, translated by Melissa Lim. Each of these works extends the illogical permissibility of early conceptual thought, re-shaped by contemporary concerns. As a result, these works explore alternative representational possibilities inaccessible to the coherent arrangement. The work of these texts is self-reflexive—in respect to their own identity within a context. Consequently, we observe the ways in which incoherent texts map misalignments and contradictions in the literary system itself; drawing attention to associative constellations misconceived as causal and the uncertain divide of representation and real.</p>

This alternative study of archive and photography brings many types of image assemblages into view, always in relation to the regulated systems operating within the institutional milieu. The archive catalogue is presented as a critical tool for mapping image time, and the language of image description is seen as having a life, a worth and an aesthetic value of its own. Functioning at the intersection of text and image, the book combines media culture, archival techniques, and contemporary discourse on art and conceptual writing.

This article is based on the understanding that figurative linguistic signs are in general a common research topic in the media language but represent a desideratum especially with regard to the German-speaking press abroad. Against this background, some of the figurative and formulaic related observations as well as the results of a current research project are thematised and discussed. The primary goal is a focused evidence-based analysis – more precisely: a theory-based qualitative exploration – of special features of figurative language use in three German-language minority newspapers from Russia, Kazakhstan and Hungary. In addition, manifestations of culturality are developed in the analysed media discourse, which is characterised by multilingualism and interculturality or rather transculturality. The approach is not normative and error-analytical, but descriptive and primarily contact- or intercultural-oriented.Among other things, it was found that the empirical database provided only relatively few figurative phrases. The findings include that other textual mechanisms prevail and due to the multilingual settings the text producers adopt fixed syntactic schemes from the contact languages. On the producer side, a German-based figurative language is generally used, but it is congruent with the figurativity of the respective contact language (in the present case: Russian, Kazakh and Hungarian), including Russian/Kazakh/Hungarian-oriented framings. In this context, the dominant feature is constituted of (virulent or latent) language contact-related phenomena with some dynamics: primarily transference formations of different kinds. At the same time, it cannot be ignored that the language and text (types) competence and especially the figurative competence of the text producers in the area of conceptual-writing skills vary widely and are often not comparable to those of federal German journalists.

Corona Virus Desease or Covid-19 is a new virus that has attacked 213 countries including Indonesia. The spread of this virus is very fast so that government policies are needed to prevent transmission. One recommendation is to get used to Washing Hands with Soap (CTPS) is no exception with Early Childhood. The family has a role to teach and practice Handwashing with Soap (CTPS). The purpose of this writing is expected to contribute ideas and benefits for students, teachers or PAUD lecturers, and observers of early childhood education. The method used is descriptive in the form of conceptual writing which is the result of discussions between researchers' field observations, experiences of early childhood educators, as well as theoretical studies and previous research results that focus on Handwashing with Soap (CTPS). The results of the discussion found that CTPS by using six steps can improve children's soft motor development, so that CTPS can be used as a method of developing soft motor skills in early childhood.   Abstrak Virus Corona atau Virus Covid-19 adalah virus baru yang telah menyerang ke 213 negara termasuk Indonesia. Penyebarannya virus ini sangat cepat sehingga diperlukan kebijakan pemerintah untuk pencegahan penularan. Salah satu rekomendasinya adalah membiasakan diri untuk Cuci Tangan Pakai Sabun (CTPS) tak terkecuali dengan Anak Usia Dini. Keluarga memiliki peran untuk mengajarkan dan melatih Cuci Tangan Pakai Sabun (CTPS). Tujuan penulisan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan sumbangan pemikiran serta manfaat bagi mahasiswa, guru atau dosen PAUD, dan pemerhati pendidikan anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif berupa tulisan konsepsional yang merupakan hasil diskusi antara pengamatan lapangan peneliti, pengalaman pendidik anak usia dini, serta kajian teori dan hasil penelitian terdahulu yang berfokus pada kegiatan Cuci Tangan Pakai Sabun (CTPS). Hasil diskusi ditemukan bahwa CTPS dengan menggunakan enam langkah dapat meningkatkan perkembangan motorik halus anak, sehingga CTPS dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu metode pengembangan motorik halus anak usia dini.

The introduction summarizes the scope of the project and its methodologies, arguing for a critically descriptive reading practice. Looking at artists’ books, conceptual writing projects, and texts by writers as diverse as Marcel Duchamp, Solmaz Sharif, and Angelo V. Suárez, the chapter first sketches the range of works that engage the dictionary in ways other than those investigated in subsequent chapters. In contrast to writers who have turned to the dictionary as an idealized abstraction, or a source of suppressed cultural biases, the chapter then proposes a dictionary poetics extrapolated from the particular form of reference books and the typography of particular editions, with their emphasis on the chain of the signifier, the chance proximities of otherwise unrelated words, and recursive structures of motivated paths and self-referential loops. Discussing poems by Emily Dickinson, Cecil Giscombe, Lyn Hejinian, Jack Kerouac, and Stéphane Mallarmé the chapter outlines the principles of a radical lexicography in which the inherent logic of the dictionary serves as a generative, structuring device (and not merely an authoritative compendium).

Social entrepreneurship combines the spirit of a social mission with business images such as discipline, innovation, and determination. In addition, social entrepreneurship employs an entrepreneurial approach to unraveling social issues and tackles them in a way that brings a positive impact to both parties. The area of entrepreneurship is also a way of worship and it is able to attract more members of society to the mosque. Mosque institutions can be further reinforced by creating entrepreneurial activities to generate positive economy as well as assisting the institution of mosques in implementing effective programs for the mosques through funds from social entrepreneurial activities. This conceptual writing finds that there are some problems that exist in mosque institutions. Among the major issues outlined in the strategic plan of the Penang Islamic Affairs Department is the inefficient institutional management of the mosque which illustrates the lack of Islamic management and the problem of attracting target members of society to the mosques. The objective of this study is to evaluate the role of mosque institution management in Seberang Perai Utara by using effective social entrepreneurship platform to address the negative perceptions of the mosque management and to determine the best social entrepreneurship programs for mosque institutions in increasing the number of members of society to the mosque institutions. This study will use a qualitative method to obtain and analyze data in order to prove the objectives of this study. Social entrepreneurship is capable of raising positive images not only to the administration of the mosque but also to the administration of Islamic affairs in the state of Penang. This comprehensive study to identify the best mosque management role and best social entrepreneurship program can be used by mosque institutions to increase income as well as enhance human capital reach through overall mosque administration.

This article discusses a number of Pound's poetic works, including Homage to Sextus Propertius, Hugh Selwyn Mauberley, and selected cantos, in relation to the practice of collaborative translation undertaken by numerous modernist authors. In Pound's case, such collaboration takes the form, in the main, of a creative partnership with poets central to his conception of the ‘Tradition’, for example, Homer and Propertius. In Pound's hands, the source text is ‘made new’ for a modernist target culture by means of strategies allied to his development of a poetics of appropriation, beginning with his composition of the Malatesta Cantos, in 1922–23. Pound's collaborative engagement with pre-existing texts, or ‘found materials’, is compared in detail to the notion of ‘translation as displacement’ developed in the recent conceptual writing of Kenneth Goldsmith, in particular, his multi-lingual Against Translation. This comparative reading, it is argued, assists in an appraisal of aspects of the politics of The Cantos, specifically the growing anti-capitalism of Pound's epic in the inter-war years.
