This article provides a picture of the latest developments in providing BIM-based tools for construction and demolition waste (CDW) management. The coverage and breadth of the literature on offering BIM-based tools and technologies for dealing with CDW throughout the whole life cycle of construction are investigated, and gaps are identified. Findings reveal that, although various BIM-based technologies are closely associated with CDW, much of the existing research on this area has focused on the design and construction phase; indeed, the problem of CDW in post-construction stages has received scant attention. Besides, the now available tools and technologies are lacking in cross-phase insights into project waste aspects and are weak in theoretical rigor. This article contributes to the field by identifying the intellectual deficiencies in offering BIM-based tools and technologies when dealing with CDW. So, too, it points to major priorities for future research on the topic. For practitioners, the study provides a point of reference and raises awareness in the field about the most advanced available BIM-based technologies for dealing with CDW problems.

Reterdated mental children are children who have an intellectual level below the average. mentally retarded children are children who have intellectual deficiencies or limitations, are below the normal average, so have difficulties in academic, communication, and social tasks, and require special education services. Expert system is one part of artificial intelligence which has recently experienced very rapid development. This study aims to help the Dharma Wanita Extraordinary School to place students and students into a class with groups that are equally backward by applying the K-Means algorithm. The design of this expert system uses Data Flow Diagrams (DFD) and the programming language used to build expert systems in this study is Visual Basic. The results of the expert system built in this study help in diagnosing the level of mental reterdation based on the symptoms given by the user and the level of mental reterdation based on possible values ​​using the K-Means algorithm calculation. One of the major tasks in the society is the enhancement of the cognitive functions, to improve intellectual deficiencies or psychosomatic ailments, hence, improving the quality of life. This new period of therapeutic advances uses various treatments using various sub-disciplines of biomedical engineering and psychology. Neurofeedback (NF) based operant conditioning is one of them. Up till now, many reports have focused on efficacy of NF in context of clinical and non-clinical applications. New advances in cognitive neuroscience and imaging methods have made neuro feedback training (NFT) more efficient. So, there have recently been further developments in traditional NF procedures. A comprehensive review on the recent advancements with major issues and challenges are tabulated. Even though a number of reviews have been proposed in the literature, but not any of the study has executed analysis of the recent advances.

Abstract Identifying dosage-sensitive genes is a key to understand the mechanisms underlying intellectual disability in Down syndrome (DS). The Dp(17Abcg1-Cbs)1Yah DS mouse model (Dp1Yah) shows cognitive phenotypes that need to be investigated to identify the main genetic driver. Here, we report that three copies of the cystathionine-beta-synthase gene (Cbs) in the Dp1Yah mice are necessary to observe a deficit in the novel object recognition (NOR) paradigm. Moreover, the overexpression of Cbs alone is sufficient to induce deficits in the NOR test. Accordingly, overexpressing human CBS specifically in Camk2a-expressing neurons leads to impaired objects discrimination. Altogether, this shows that Cbs overdosage is involved in DS learning and memory phenotypes. To go further, we identified compounds that interfere with the phenotypical consequence of CBS overdosage in yeast. Pharmacological intervention in Tg(CBS) mice with one selected compound restored memory in the NOR test. In addition, using a genetic approach, we demonstrated an epistatic interaction between Cbs and Dyrk1a, another human chromosome 21-located gene (which encodes the dual-specificity tyrosine phosphorylation-regulated kinase 1a) and an already known target for DS therapeutic intervention. Further analysis using proteomic approaches highlighted several molecular pathways, including synaptic transmission, cell projection morphogenesis and actin cytoskeleton, that are affected by DYRK1A and CBS overexpression. Overall, we demonstrated that CBS overdosage underpins the DS-related recognition memory deficit and that both CBS and DYRK1A interact to control accurate memory processes in DS. In addition, our study establishes CBS as an intervention point for treating intellectual deficiencies linked to DS.

A literature review was conducted aiming to understand the interface between the Intellectual Disability and Mental Health fields and to contribute to mitigating the path of institutionalizing individuals with intellectual deficiencies. The so-called dual diagnosis phenomenon remains underestimated in Brazil but is the object of research and specific public policy internationally. This phenomenon alerts us to the prevalence of mental health problems in those with intellectual disabilities, limiting their social inclusion. The findings reinforce the importance of this theme and indicate possible diagnostic invisibility of the development of mental illness in those with intellectual disabilities in Brazil, which may contribute to sustaining psychiatric institutionalization of this population.
