Purpose This paper aims to thoroughly identify the forms of integration between Lean, Industry 4.0 (I4.0) and environmental sustainability (ES) by examining the relationships between these three constructs, deepening understanding surrounding the theme and evolving the construction of a framework that can aid managing industrial production processes. Design/methodology/approach A systematic literature review (SLR) was the method used to identify the relationships for integration in the current literature. The SLR was supported by content and cluster analysis. The analyzes identified relationships at two levels. The first level observed relationships for constructs and variables. The second, at the level of constructs and components, which detail the variables. This study also proposes an integrated conceptual framework showing these relationships at the construct, variable and component levels. Findings The results show how these three constructs are related and the study concludes by stating that there is stronger integration among I4.0 technologies and Lean practices for reaching ES. The SLR identified the main components that allowed for this integration, i.e. I4.0 technologies, Big Data, the internet of things and Lean practices, like reducing waste and customer needs. Practical implications From an academic standpoint, this study proposes new lines of research lines that have not been explored thus far, and can be developed via empirical studies, at the strategic and operational levels among different industrial sectors. Also, this study can help managers understand the integrations between Lean practices and I4.0 technologies to achieve better operational and environmental organizational results. Originality/value To the best of the knowledge, this study is the first of its kind using SLR to integrate Lean approaches, ES and I4.0 and to propose a unified framework to help managers and academics understand these relationships.

Purpose This paper aims to examine the relationship between control mechanisms and marketing performance based on a sample of marketing managers. To that end, this paper focuses on the relationship between the types of controls used in marketing and the market and business results. Methodology This study collected the data through a survey among marketing professionals with experience and decision-making capacity involving marketing budgets and plans, in practical terms a sample of 97 marketing managers and analyzed the data via a structural equation model using Smart PLS 3. Findings The findings confirm that marketing control mechanisms have a significant impact on business results, demonstrating the relationship of formal controls with market results and the relationship between informal controls with financial results. Likewise, the authors were able to prove that there is a relationship between formal and informal control. Practical implications The implementation of the control mechanisms should be based on the development of a detailed evaluation system of the activities carried out by the marketing employees and an analysis of their capabilities and abilities. In addition, managers should integrate formal control decisions into their marketing strategy to improve organizational results. Originality The results of this study help explain the relationship between marketing control mechanisms and organizational results and allow to understand what the level of influence is that marketing control mechanisms have on market and financial results.

This paper presents a ridge-to-reef case study on Philippine biodiversity conservation that focused on reducing agricultural chemicals as a contribution to development goals of optimized food security, improving water quality, and mitigating maternal malnutrition. Building upon an earlier study that engaged participants and jurisdictions, farmers were oriented on biodiversity considerations and engaged in ecologically-based rodent management that was extended across the province of Aurora through the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist. Subsequently, a Participatory Action Research and Learning (PARL) cycle was conducted among 14 farmer participants to support biodiversity-friendly agriculture. Developed with local farmers, a biodiversity assessment demonstrated that organic approaches in rice farms increased arthropod biodiversity and reduced the number of key insect pests. The organizational results from this biodiversity study further indicated that local government participation can promote positive change by helping overcome the disconnect between communities and sustainability research. The approach to biodiversity-friendly agriculture reached a milestone through the collaborative development of an agricultural protected area supported by drafting a municipal ordinance to encourage the continued expansion of biodiversity-friendly agriculture and reductions in the chemical load of a key Aurora watershed. This paper discusses the biodiversity analysis and organizational results within the context of trans-ecosystem knowledge management and the goal of improving chronic maternal malnutrition that has been identified in coastal settlements of Aurora.

Organization’s strength to realizing its goal are deeply relying to the abilities of the workforce. It is the primary resource and vital capital of an organization that is dynamic and adaptable. Regardless of its nature, it is undeniably that the blood of the operation of every organization is the manpower. Employees who tend to be lacked skills normally do not produce good quality work. Productivity and outstanding output are achieved only if employees of an organization are managed properly. Such management is the enhancement of their capabilities and expertise, giving these workers motivation, thus attaining job satisfaction and excellent organizational results. This study presents a literature review on the importance of technical training and professional development of the employees towards organizational growth.  In technical related works, training is a one-way for the employees to grow their based-knowledge and improve professional skills to become more effective in their chosen field of interest, a pathway for them to be the key asset in contributing positive outcomes to their respective organization.

This study analyses the relationships between the technologies of Industry 4.0, continuous improvement, and the business results. To carry out this study, 109 questionnaires to companies of different sectors were collected, but an indispensable condition to take into account was the fact that these companies develop themselves their logistics management. The analysis of the results obtained through the Partial Least Squares (PLS) methodology argues that there is a positive relationship between 4.0 Industry and continuous improvement processes, as well as between continuous improvement processes and organizational results, although it cannot be concluded that a direct relationship between 4.0 Industry and organizational results exists, which means that there are other variables, such as continuous improvement, mediating between them. With this work, there is already an accredited reference of the relationship, which has been verified to exist, between the Industry 4.0, the continuous improvement, and the business results.

Clima Organizacional. Atacadista. Varejo. Abstract This study aimed to discuss a proposal to use internal marketing tools to improve organizational climate. The first objective is marked by the assessment of the company's organizational climate. The organizational climate allows us to gather perceptions from employees about support from the management / organization, reward, physical comfort, control / pressure and cohesion among colleagues, in addition to having a positive correlation with organizational results. The second objective is propositional, and aims at the rational use of internal marketing strategies to fill in the gaps found by this assessment. Endomarketing is understood as the strategies to promote the feelings that employees have of the quality of the services provided and products of the organization and the importance of their roles in this production, making them key in the process of meeting the customers needs. The study and proposals were made in a cash-and-carry trade in the city of Corumbá/Brazil. The data were collected from the perspective of the mixed survey, using Organizational Climate Scale (MARTINS, 2008) and a semi-structured interview with the managers. The results showed a satisfactory organizational climate and point to a positive combination of the two aspects in the scope of people management studies, promoting benefits for the company, employer, and connecting employees with the organization's strategic objectives. Keywords: Internal Marketing. Organizational Climate. Wholesaler. Retail.

Zemke and Zemke believed 30 ideas/concepts/techniques related with adult learning/andragogy can help toward accomplishing the job as adult educators. Tenant analyzed Knowles' popular andragogical assumptions and processes, while Hartree, Jarvis, and the Davenports considered Knowles' andragogy overrated in its contribution. Not to be deterred, Knowles' published his book The Adult Learner (third edition) and Andragogy in Action, a compendium of 36 positive organizational results of andragogy. Brookfield called American andragogy an unproven theory. Taylor offered a very strong and articulate research-based process model for Knowles' andragogical implementation of four phases and four transitions into learning for self-direction in the classroom. Henschke developed an andragogical assessment inventory entitled: Modified Instructional Perspectives Inventory (MIPI), which is Cronbach Alpha validated three times for reliability, including seven factors of which ‘teacher trust of learners' is the strongest factor with 11 elements describing its dimensions. This chapter explores this.

This article highlights current issues of effectiveness and efficiency of the public administration system. Using systemic and synergetic approaches, methods of analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, comparative analysis it is established that the effectiveness of management is a result compared with the cost of achieving it (they include not only direct costs of management, but also implementation management decisions). At the same time, the tools of public administration can be divided into four types: organizational structures; belief; rules; financial resources, and their capabilities – two: external, which include the legal framework, leadership and resources, and internal in the composition of people, processes and strategies. At the same time, its effectiveness should be assessed in two ways: on the one hand, by assessing the available opportunities and the extent to which they are used to achieve organizational results (socalled internal efficiency), and on the other – by assessing the final achievements (external). The organizational results of public administration should be considered in two aspects. On the one hand, it is the implementation within the legal framework in accordance with the chosen strategy and under a certain guidance of such opportunities as resources, which means their allocation in accordance with the goals and objectives of the organization; processes and structures, which means their organization to achieve goals and objectives; and people, is the change of certain human factors, the emergence or resolution of existing conflicts, and so on. At the same time, the criteria for the effectiveness of public administration: the purposefulness of the organization and functioning of the public administration system; spending time on management issues and management operations; the state of functioning of the public administration system, its subsystems and other organizational structures; the complexity of the organization of the subject of public administration, its subsystems and units; the cost of maintaining and ensuring the proper functioning of such a management system. Therefore, based on the most common interpretation of the concept of efficiency, it is considered as a result compared with the cost of obtaining it. At the same time, the efficiency of management is a relative characteristic of a particular social governing system, reflected in various indicators that have both quantitative and qualitative features, the achievement of which is especially important in the development of modern civilized system market relations in modern Ukraine and its fustified relentless European integration aspirations.
