The aim of this study is to present the connections between speech disorders and sensory integration processing and disorders in children’s functioning and suggestions of therapeutic activities. Sensory processing dysfunctions may affect the development of cognitive functions and speech. In this study I would like to emphasize the effectiveness of elements of the sensory integration therapy. Multisensory methods influence the sense of balance. They also shape the child's motor skills, coordination, the ability to plan, and communicate at the same time, stimulating communication and general speech development.

In recent years, sensory-integration therapy has emerged as one of the most popular treatments for aggressive behavior in children with different disorders. This article is devoted to an experimental study aimed at determining the effects of sensory-integration therapy on the aggressive behavior of children with multiple disabilities. Eighteen children participated in the study. The registration of the children's behavioral responses for 24 consecutive school days allowed the collection of evidence in support of the thesis in the study. The individual child’s frequency of aggressive behaviors in four domains was recording on 12 days while undergoing sensory-integrative therapy and 12 days without a treatment with sensory-integrative techniques. The following methods were used in the analysis of the results: Paired samples t-tests to test the four null hypotheses, a Shaprio-Wilk test for the assumption of normality, Cohen's d to determine the effect size attributable to the therapy, and descriptive statistics for the dependent variables. The statistical results indicated a high level of significance for the three variables: aggression towards property, physical aggression, and aggression toward self. The obtained average values for the three modules are evidence for the positive effects of the sensory-based therapy in children with emotional and behavioral problems. The fourth variable, verbal aggression did not show a statistically significant difference between the mean values before and after the sensory-based intervention.

Attention Decit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurobehavioral disorder characterized by either signicant difculties of inattention or/ and impulsiveness or a combination of two. This results in hyperactivity. The Children with ADHD often have problems with working memory, organization and time management that make it hard to follow daily routines, It is accompanied by heightened anxiety levels. Savasana has been found to be effective in reducing stress in cardiac conditions. The Savasana may help to reduce anxiety in children with ADHD.The study was conducted to study the effect of Savasana along with conventional sensory integration therapy on anxiety levels of Chidren with ADHD & compare the anxiety level in children with ADHD receiving conventional Sensory integrative therapy. Children meeting inclusion criterion were allocated in two groups and were evaluated on Revised Children`s Manifest Anxiety Scale (RCMAS) at the baseline,at 4 weeks & at 8th week. There was signicant difference in improvement at 8th week follow-up between the groups with p< 0.001. The Savasana being integral part of Yoga, Savasana can help in reducing the anxiety. The parents expressed satisfaction, as they noted reduction in hyperactivity of their child & improved attention during short term activities. They have also reported improvement in their behavior at school. The study on larger population is recommended.

Sensory integration disorders, including dyspraxia and related motor planning disorders, are often observed in the pedagogical practice. Teachers and parents are usually unable to pinpoint the reasons for the children's behavior. The children are clumsy and chaotic and they are giving the impression of being lost in a task situation. They also have school problems, such as: difficulty with handwriting and drawing, difficulty using tools such as scissors, rulers, difficulty learning new motor skills, concentration and attention problems. It should be emphasized that these children are in the intellectual norm. Objective: The effects of ASI treatment on functioning the children with sensory processing disorders was examined. Method: The researcher used a qualitative approach based on the case study method, participant observation and interview with parents. Results: Improvement in motor planning was found. The subject's self-esteem increased as well. The results show an improvement in social functioning. Conclusion: Changes in the child's functioning and progress in development indicate the effectiveness of the ASI (Ayers Sensory Integration) therapy.

In recent years, the prevalence of sensory integration disorders in children in urban areas has increased. Most existing sensory integration treatments are located in hospital-based sensory integration units; however, medical resources are extremely limited, making it difficult to guarantee the appropriate treatment time and intervention results for many children. The concept of sensory integration therapy must be disseminated widely and correctly to meet these children’s needs. Although most urban communities have a high number of children’s spaces, these spaces require improvement. This study proposes the incorporation of the concept of sensory integration therapy into neighborhood open spaces for children to positively impact children’s sensory development. The purpose of this study is to determine the effective facility factors of an occupational therapy room, translate them into a community facility design, clarify the categories and relative importance of each design attribute, and explore the design strategies of the children’s facilities in neighborhood open spaces based on the sensory integration theory. This study investigates the importance of the sensory integration treatment level. The facilities in neighborhood open spaces for children can be considered systemic structures consisting of five partitioned units with different levels of importance among the synergistic components within each unit. These structures will enable children to experience sensory stimulation during daily outdoor play and will serve as preventive and therapeutic tools.

Abstract Background: Fatigue is one of the most common and annoying symptoms in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS). The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of sensory interventions on fatigue in people with MS based on a systematic review of sensory evidence. Methods: The Google Scholar, PubMed, Scopus, and Cochrane Library databases were searched from January 1990 to July 2020. Studies with nonpharmacologic sensory interventions as a main or secondary intervention according to the assessment of fatigue as the primary or secondary therapy outcome in patients with MS were included. Results: Nine articles were reviewed by examining the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Four types of interventions were related to exercises, including sensory integration exercises, vestibular rehabilitation, Frenkel exercises, and exercises with or without vibration; and two types were performed using robots and one type using vibration only. Vestibular rehabilitation therapies, exercise-based sensory integration interventions, and the use of vibration have shown significant effects in relieving fatigue in patients with MS. Conclusions: The evidence in this study is insufficient to show a dramatic effect of sensory integration therapy in various forms. However, despite the studies, sensory integration therapy can be considered a potential treatment for fatigue in patients with MS. Further studies with stronger methods are needed to make this treatment a reality.
