In this chapter, considering the importance of spare parts inventory management in the equipment life cycle, the excellence models in spare parts supply chain management are reviewed, and MRO-MMM framework based on the MMM maintenance excellence model will be presented in eight steps. In this comprehensive framework, all necessary actions are considered in terms of maintenance excellence, improvement, and optimization spare parts management. The steps include compiling strategies, spare parts management policies, and related indicators; determining criticality, classification, and spare parts data management; data and procedure preparation for analysis of inventory management; optimization of inventory management system; supplier management; integrity of automation and information system; continuous improvement; and risk based and smarting inventory management. This framework has been used in various industries and proved that the implementation of the MRO-MMM framework will optimize and significantly improve spare parts management.

World’s interest for power had become 85% somewhere in the range of 2010 and 2017 this expansion is more than the present all out utilization of power in India, USA, Japan, Australia consolidated. We can’t diminish the power development rate however we can decrease the measure of power squandered every year by killing our home machines when not being used. This venture shows a plan and model of Home Automation framework that will utilize ESP8266 Wi-Fi module as a system supplier in associating with different machines. The proposed framework has two principle segments. The primary fundamental part is Arduino, which controls and oversees contribution of Wi-Fi module. The other principle segment is Wi-Fi module through Wi-Fi module a web server can be added to the module which will help in controlling of gadgets over Internet. One server can oversee numerous equipment interface modules as long as it exists on Wi-Fi arrange inclusion. It bolsters a wide scope of home mechanization gadgets like power the board segments, and security parts. We need to make this automation framework incorporated and misleadingly astute. The framework is executed utilizing common family apparatuses Natural language voice directions are given to the Google Assistant and with the assistance of IFTTT (If This Then That) application and the Blynk application the directions are decoded and after that sent to the microcontroller, the microcontroller thusly controls the transfers associated with it as required, turning the gadget associated with the separate hand-off On or OFF according to the clients demand to the Google Assistant. The microcontroller utilized is Node MCU (ESP8266) and the correspondence between the microcontroller and the application is built up by means of Wi-Fi.

As commercial and naval ships push to reduce manning requirements, the complexity of the platform management and control systems is increasing. The current route to compliance relies heavily on audits of the detailed design during the design/commissioning of the ship. Having it so late in the lifecycle adds risk of rework to the Shipbuilder and system supplier. As the complexity of control increases both the probability that changes will be required in response to identified safety issues, and the cost of making these changes will rise significantly. For systems that have safety significance, and will be expected to comply with IEC 61508, this poses even more of a challenge as the level of evidence needed to support the functional safety argument will be almost impenetrable if viewed in the form of a single audit. This paper proposes a staged approach to compliance, which will build confidence in the control and management system during the development lifecycle. It incorporates practices from other industries, such as aerospace, where complex control and safety systems have been in use for some time. Using a gated approach, loosely based on a tailored ARP 4754A model, Shipbuilders can mitigate much of the risk, and prevent cost overruns. This systematic approach to progressively accumulating and signing off evidence increases auditor involvement, and keeps them much more informed throughout the design. This will allow the auditor to have more confidence in the suitability of complex control and protection systems, and being assured of the safe running of the ship. This model has been common practice in aerospace for a number of years, and has supported advances in automation beyond the accepted norms of the marine industry. This paper provides an overview of the risks presented by the current Certification mechanisms, and discusses possible solutions presented by ARP 4754A.

The purpose of this paper is to present a decision support system supplier selection of food industry raw materials especially cake and bakery, by using new technology that is famous for its robustness that is Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The importance of this research is to find a new varian of the AHP application, therefore increase scientific literature related the method especially for cake and bakery industrial. Furthemore, to provide a reference of selecting raw materials supplier methods in the industry. The model starts by identifying the main criteria (quality, price, delivery, and service) using the main criteria ranking based on the opinions of experts using AHP. The second stage is identifying the sub criteria (materials supplied halal and equipped with halal certificates, sample tests and physical observations, price of goods, maximum and continuous capacity and supply capacity, discount price levels and certain purchases, the existence of supplier offices and cooperation and reference commitments) and their ranking based on the main criteria. The results of this study indicate that the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method can produce a decision support system that the right results according to field data at Virgin Cake and Bakery. The results of this study indicate that overall the best supplier to be chosen by the company to be use as a long-term co-worker is supplier A because overall this supplier has the highest value compared to the other three suppliers.

The pharmacy is a place for distributing pharmaceutical supplies (medicines) to the public. As an agency that deals directly with customers and the number of suppliers who want to distribute their goods through the pharmacy, it is necessary to choose suppliers to establish good and profitable cooperation. This research was held at the Sulfa Sulfida Lamongan Pharmacy. The purpose of this study is to design and build a decision support system to select suppliers and their implementation. The method used in supplier selection is a weighted product, where suppliers will be assessed based on price criteria, payment tempo, timeliness of delivery, accuracy in number and service support. The results showed that the weighted product method can be implemented in the decision support system for selecting drug suppliers at the Sulfa Sulfida Lamongan Pharmacy. This is evidenced by the same value between the calculation of the system and manually or in the system. Key Word: decision support system, supplier, weighted product
