Live video broadcasting normally requires a multitude of skills and expertise with domain knowledge to enable multi-camera productions. As the number of cameras keeps increasing, directing a live sports broadcast has now become more complicated and challenging than ever before. The broadcast directors need to be much more concentrated, responsive, and knowledgeable, during the production. To relieve the directors from their intensive efforts, we develop an innovative automated sports broadcast directing system, called Smart Director, which aims at mimicking the typical human-in-the-loop broadcasting process to automatically create near-professional broadcasting programs in real-time by using a set of advanced multi-view video analysis algorithms. Inspired by the so-called “three-event” construction of sports broadcast [ 14 ], we build our system with an event-driven pipeline consisting of three consecutive novel components: (1) the Multi-View Event Localization to detect events by modeling multi-view correlations, (2) the Multi-View Highlight Detection to rank camera views by the visual importance for view selection, and (3) the Auto-Broadcasting Scheduler to control the production of broadcasting videos. To our best knowledge, our system is the first end-to-end automated directing system for multi-camera sports broadcasting, completely driven by the semantic understanding of sports events. It is also the first system to solve the novel problem of multi-view joint event detection by cross-view relation modeling. We conduct both objective and subjective evaluations on a real-world multi-camera soccer dataset, which demonstrate the quality of our auto-generated videos is comparable to that of the human-directed videos. Thanks to its faster response, our system is able to capture more fast-passing and short-duration events which are usually missed by human directors.

VISUAL ANALYSIS OF GATOTKACA CHARACTERS IN THE MOBILE  LEGENDS BANG BANG GAME     Abstract Mobile Legends Bang Bang, A game which has conception design and earns enormous popularity among society around the world including Indonesia. The characters in this game have many variations and visually appealing. Through this research, researcher analyses Mobile Legends Bang Bang character’s visual, Gatotkaca. The purpose of the study aims to examine physical characteristics and visual importance of Moblie Legends Bang Bang’s character, Gatotkaca. This research uses Qualitative approach, as data collection technique uses documentation and literature study. Meanwhile, data processing technique uses data reduction and identification, descriptive data technique uses Roland Barthes’ Semiotics. Established results of this study shows physical appearance of Gatotkaca’s character is inspired by legendary figure in Indonesia, Gatotkaca. Visually, the character of Gatotkaca has undergone many shape simplifications to ease its dimensional realistic processes. Gatotkaca’s character in Mobile Legends Bang Bang game images both strong and powerful Gatotkaca with his Brajamukti-Brajadenta gauntlet. This makes Gatotkaca’s character in Mobile Legends Bang Bang can be called as the form of Indonesia’s culture preservation. Keywords: Barthes, Game, Gatotkaca, Semiotics.

Visual attention is one of the most important mechanisms deployed in the human visual system (HVS) to reduce the amount of information that our brain needs to process. An increasing amount of efforts has been dedicated to the study of visual attention, and this chapter proposes to clarify the advances achieved in computational modeling of visual attention. First the concepts of visual attention, including the links between visual salience and visual importance, are detailed. The main characteristics of the HVS involved in the process of visual perception are also explained. Next we focus on eye-tracking, because of its role in the evaluation of the performance of the models. A complete state of the art in computational modeling of visual attention is then presented. The research works that extend some visual attention models to 3D by taking into account of the impact of depth perception are finally explained and compared.
