We propose a technique that optimizing the method of contact force spectroscopy. With the help of a macro language integrated into the NOVA software of the Solver P47 scanning probe microscope, an algorithm was developed that allows analyzing force curves without leaving its main interface. The approbation of the method was done on samples of synthesized polymer, since one of the most important mechanical properties determining their range of applications is elasticity. In this paper, local values of the Young's modulus on the polymer surface are obtained by the method of contact force spectroscopy using the YUNG script developed using a macro language integrated into the control program of a scanning probe microscope. It is shown that the use of the YUNG script makes it possible to optimize the method of contact force spectroscopy by searching for the exponent γ, choosing a model for calculating the interaction force for further determination of the local Young modulus.

We present a new laser protective lens based on a multilayered notch filter design with low residual stress and low surface roughness. An18-layer notch filter was prepared by electron beam evaporation with an ion-assisted deposition technique, which was composed of SiO2 and Nb2O5 with a center wavelength of 532 nm. The optical transmittance, residual stress, surface roughness, and surface morphology were measured by a UV/VIS/NIR spectrophotometer, Twyman–Green interferometer, scanning probe microscope, Linnik microscopic interferometer, and field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). The transmittance of the notch filters at center wavelength is 0.2%, and the average transmittance of the transmission band is about 70%. The residual stress of the notch filter is −0.298 GPa, and the root mean square surface roughness is 1.88 nm. The experimental results show that the optical transmittance meets the design requirements.

The paper presents the study results of paper trapping during inkjet printing which contains cellulose pulp from the inner bark layer of mulberry branches. The connection between the print density and the paper surface structure, in particular, water absorption and raggedness, is established. The study of the stepwise gradation transition and color rendition, the graphic accuracy of reproduction of the slur element of the image is carried out. Densitometric and microscopic analysis of the impressions printed on an inkjet printer was performed. It was revealed that the pigments of water ink, depending on the microgeometry of the paper surface, penetrated deeper in different ways. It was found that the maximum thickness of the paint layer, expressed using the optical density values for the primary colors of the subtractive synthesis, and the best color reproduction were provided by the surface of the paper sample with 100 % addition of cellulose pulp from the inner layer of the bark of mulberry tree branches, which has the least roughness, according to the scanning probe microscope Solver HV. Recommendations are given for testing paper data on inkjet printers that use pigment inks and are less demanding on the surface properties of paper, or by printing methods that do not use low-viscosity printing inks.

The article discusses methods and algorithms for digital processing and filtering when carrying out nano-measurements using a scanning probe microscope. The paper discusses frequency methods for improving images, in particular, the use of the Fourier transforms with various filtering methods to improve the quality of the resulting image. Stable computational algorithms have been developed for transforming discrete signals based on the Fourier transform. Methods for the interpretation of the numerical results of the discrete Fourier transform in such packages as Matlab, MathCad, Matematica are presented. It is proposed to use a window transform, developed based on the Fourier transform, which makes it possible to single out the informative features of the signal and to reduce the influence of the destabilizing factors that arise when processing signals from a scanning gold microscope in real conditions.
